Tim asked if I would like to escalate the situation with management which I agreed. The manager never even tried calling back. I've owned cars since 1984 and never treated as badly as this place. It was late Friday afternoon in Deadwood and my car would not start. I opened the hood to check…read morethe battery connections. The connections were secure but I discovered that in addition to the electric fault the water pump was leaking. I called South Side Service and explained my predicament. Pat told me that if I could get the car to him he would look at it. I was able to push start the car and drive to his shop. Pat called around to locate a water pump and starter without success. There were no parts available. Not even in Rapid City. We drove the car up onto the hoist and Pat agreed to look at it Saturday. Pat called me Saturday morning and stated that he got the starter working by striking with a hammer to free the brushes. Not a permanent 'fix', but it started the car. Bravo! He was able to stop the water pump leak with a bottle of radiator stop leak. Another temporary 'fix' but good enough for me to try returning to Minneapolis. I stopped at the Chevy dealer in Rapid City to inquire about parts availability. The dealer also stated that there were no parts in the entire region. We stopped in here to get a trailer tire replaced. After they replaced the tire on our spare rim,…read morethey went out to put it back on the trailer. But me being me, I'd given them the beat-up spare to replace, because I was going to swap it out with a tire that had a slow leak. The young man looked at my slow-leaking tire, turned to me and said "It's probably the valve stem. Those high-pressure valve stems suck. Pull it around back and I'll see what I can do." We pulled it around back, and a couple of squirts with soapy water confirmed it was the valve stem that was the problem. It took all of ten minutes for him to pull the tire off, replace the stem, and slap it back on the trailer. So I now have two good tires on the trailer, plus a brand new spare, all at a good price, and all done within half an hour on a Saturday. Holy moly people. This place rocks.

Finally got our car back July 12 and over $3,000 later. Drove the car home and on July 16th the car started acting up and would not speed up. Took to local shop by house and they found the ground wire to transmission and a 30 amp fuse in a 20 amp spot and recommened have the car look ate the engine control module look at by a dealership I paid to have the car towed to local dealership and they confirmed the engine control module needs replaced. Reached out to Auto choice Spearfish by phone and email mutiple times and I am not getting any response. This was a preffered shop from AAA and now I have a car they kept from the beginning of June to July 12th and it wont run and they are acting like its not on them.
