Service was horrible . We asked for new plates, since they were used from our appetizers. (Food took over an hour. ) the woman who seemed like the owner just does an annoyed laugh and comes back tossed the plates onto the table . They were WET. We are currently under the governors orders to shelter in place for C 19, so we are happy to have this restaurant and a few others nearby as options for takeout. I was concerned when I read another review about the food being too greasy and salty, but we talked to the ever so sweet wait staff about our concerns and she made some good suggestions for dishes with a homemade white garlic sauce rather than Brown sauce, probably made with too much soy sauce. We were very happy with our dishes of shrimp and vegetables and shrimp mai gai pan (I do not eat meat or poultry). They were generous servings and we made two dinners of our two entrées. read more

I came here Sunday evening for a birthday dinner with two friends who live in Palmas Del Mar. We all just had a bad experience with another restaurant waiting an hour for food that never came out. One friend said they had great sushi and we should try it. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in. Drinks were served soon after we ordered. We ordered four kinds of sushi but there was one no one was fond of. We were given credit for it without question and given a spicy tuna roll as a treat in lieu of the one we didn't like. The best part for me was when the waitress asked us if we wanted desserts. I said to her, I want birthday cake. The Waitress said she didn't have any but then asked me if I wanted her to sing to me and of course, I agreed. She walked away and returned with a piece of flan and a candle on top singing happy birthday playing the harmonica with 3 other waiters singing to me. That was the icing on the cake for me. Not much open in the Palmanova Plaza for a week day at 3pm so we tried Blue Hawaii. The service was great and the atmosphere was clean and nice until a yelling uncontrolled child arrived with its family, but that is not the restaurant's fault. I dined with four others so we had a nice variety of food. Everything was good except the sweet sour chicken. The chicken was fatty dark meat. Maybe it's just me but i prefer chicken breast minus any fat in my chicken dishes. The rice was served family style which wasn't really enough for five so we ended up having to ask for more. It was a bit on the high side price wise for Chinese food. However, they do have a menu of four or five lunch specials. It's worth a try, but if you order a chicken dish request chicken breast unless you like chewy fat. read more

We ate here for the first time over the weekend. I didn't expect much because I haven't had very good Chinese food in PR for the most part. We ordered take out, so I can't comment on the service except that they were pleasant over the phone and patient with my order even though I didn't have a menu. They told me they had Vietnamese dishes, which I was very excited to hear since it's one of my favorites. We ordered a bowl of Pho, a Vietnamese beef dish and Chicken Lo Mein. Now maybe their Chinese food is better (the Lo Mein was decent) but I would recommend to stay away from the Vietnamese dishes here. One of the trademarks of good Vietnamese is fresh herbs and vegetables in a flavorful umami sauce or broth that is fragrant, and well balanced sweet/sour/salty. There were no fresh herbs present in our dishes. The soup and beef were bland, meat gray and boiled. The beef dish was just beef-no crunchy veggies. The soup had a huge clump of mushy, overcooked rice noodles at the bottom and most ended up in the trash. Really, the worst I've had. It's unfortunate because this restaurant does deliver and you can tell the staff tries to please. Maybe I'll try again sometime with more generic Chinese food selections. I must mention price as well. Expect to pay about $6 to $10 more per dish than you normally would. Three stars but will update review fter my 2nd visit. read more

My family and I were very disappointed and actually angry with this place. We went on a Sunday during the emergency curfew around 6pm, early enough for us to enjoy our meal and leave at a decent time without breaking that curfew. Well, they wouldn't seat anyone and only did Togo orders, which was fine, that wasn't the problem, the problem was the disgusting food. I ordered the pho, high in sodium with greasy meat and broth that came from a can! I had a sip of the soup and then threw it away, $13 in the trash. My husband had the seafood medley, which was drowned in 3 sticks of butter! I felt my arteries clog up just from trying the squid he had. The rest of the family didn't even eat their dishes for the lack of taste, it being drowned in salt, or the food was floating in grease! The only thing that was decent was the egg drop soup and chicken tenders my 2 yr old niece had got. I'm also upset because they have a picture of some sushi on the wall, which is what initially I wanted, but they didn't sell any. False advertisement! I give this place a one start because we basically threw away about $60 worth a food altogether, but the people there were super sweet. They need to try different techniques with their food and stop selling things from a can, drowned in grease, and use a light hand when gandering the sodium. Very disappointed! Best restaurant in palmas! They have been around for a long time and the people who work there are so kind and caring. I used to live here and now I just vacation, but they still remember me and my order every time I go! They have the best Chinese food on the island by far. I refuse to get chicken and broccoli anywhere else, even in the states, because it'll never be as good as theirs! Definitely worth the trip in to try! I really enjoy their BBQ spareribs and most of all, their Pho. Its one of the few places on the island where you can find this Vietnamese soup. Tried cause it was the one of two restaurants open on Tuesday afternoon. After specifically asking for a dish that would bring rice, I get frozen and poorly seasoned fish and frozen vegetables. They were nice enough to give me rice on the side after asking again. I was also hoping to work on my laptop, but the person who knew the password to the Wi-Fi had 'stepped out'. Paying $40 for one person meal and one drink was definitely not worth it. They should allow customers to use their wifi and not lie. They only had two tables that night. This is my second visit and once again the food and the service was excellent. We started with a spicy tuna roll which was fresh and bite-sized and the dumplings which were steamed and equally delicious. For the main dish, we had Mongolian beef which was tender and spicy, chicken lo mien which was thick noodles and very flavorful and crab Rangoon. The kids were (pleasantly) surprised that they actually tasted like crab meat. The owner and her sister visited our table after we finished to make sure we were happy. Great place. read more
