When you are sweating, and I do not mean the 'jogging around the block' sweating, I mean the temperature in the house is going to boil the water in the fish tank, you sweat, you sweat a heck of a lot. When it is that hot in your house, you sweat in places that you did not know you could sweat !! That type of heat never happens between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., it is always at 7:00 p.m. when you said to yourself "It will cool off" and it hasn't. So while you wring out the sponge and try to dry your smart phone to call Blue Heating & Cooling, you get a peppy person on the other end! Now first thought is that you get the 'peppy' person because it is more expensive after 5:00 p.m., or it is an answering service in a comfortably chilled call center in Eastern Mongolia, but no, a live person, HERE! Alakazam, and POOF! Dustin comes into the driveway, steps out of the snazzy van, not a stalker van or a van you would see as a prop on NCIS or Bones. As Dustin bounds up the stairs to your blazing inferno of your house, the extra pep in his skip is not overtime charge happiness, it is a true "I wanna help" peppiness! As you squeegee off your face and mop up what is left of the dog who melted hours ago, Dustin comes in and crawls into the netherworld of your Utility Closet where you think the furnace/air cooler blower thingee is. You hear clicking, some banging, but no swearing, unlike yourself. (mopping brow again, and watching the poor fish boil in their water) As Dustin extricates himself from that room that you never go into because of the spiders that has the heater/cooler thingee in it, there is a strange noise that happens. It is that cheese grater blower thingee on the wall. As you sponge off another 14 layers of skin off of your forehead, you get closer to the cheese-grater on your wall, and HOLY CRAP, COLD AIR! You shake Dustin's hand, hoping that you haven't sweated too much on him while shaking, you want to offer him a towel, but you have used all of them, including the two stuffed under each arm to stem the tide of sweat running down your sides. As soon as he leaves, still smiling, he knows, he knows... You start flinging all of your clothes off and find a step-stool and stand in front of the cheese-grater thing on the wall that is now blowing ice-cold air! There are two words of caution though, first, pay your bill, that Shannon lady will visit you in the hospital after your surgery to remove the frost-bite and will tape a pen to your fingerless hand to sign a check, and two, say THANK YOU! I would never allow any other HVAC person in my house other than Blue Heating & Cooling. And the longer you wait, the more water weight you sweat out, but don't live in a sauna!!!! read more

Thank you YELP for connecting me with this company! We would much rather spend our money with smaller companies, than the big box guys. They had the best reviews in my area, so I gave it a whirl! I called this afternoon and needed someone to come out same day. I called during lunch and had to leave a message, but I received a call back within the hour. They were able to meet me at my house two hours after that! The office staff was friendly and professional, as well as the guys that came to do the work. They were extremely informative and knew what they were talking about. Sadly...we will need to get a new unit within the next year, BUT, now I know who to call to bid the job. I have a rental property in KC (just outside of Parkville) and the A/C wasn't blowing cold. I didn't have a HVAC go-to company, so I decided to Yelp it (just to see what came up). Dustin's after hour night response time was quick, after checking my furnace we determined it was not worth repairing. he quoted me an extremely fair price for a new furnace and AC.
