DO NOT HAVE A WEDDING HERE!!!! Simeen is horrible to work…read morewith and does not honor all her husband promises couples. they never meet with couples at same time, he lures them in with promised and she does not honor them!!! Venue is outdoors so beware that their is NO place to go inside if bad weather and they charge extra for every little thing!!! For the price of the venue, you get nothing else from them. So many venues out there that will cater to a bride and groom. you cannot decorate reception area until 6pm, which means YOU are NOT decorating it due to being at the wedding sight. more money to spend as you would need to hire someone to decorate it for you. Guests cannot be at reception area until 630, so by time everyone is shuttled up there, do dinner, cake, toasts etc, you will be lucky to get 2 hours of music and dance. It has to end at 10pm in spite of the contract stating you get venue to 11pm, that last hours is so YOU can clean it for them since they do NOTHING!!! Bride and Groom suite are on a hill that you get at 3pm, so have hair and make up done before you get there a you get time to change and then go do photos before the ceremony. Not sure why she wont let them have these sooner, no one is using them. Bride will walk down hill that has a gravel path to wedding sight, I just see issues with that, falling down, twisting an ankle, dress being filthy. We tried to work with her, she was very difficult. She took our money and refuses a refund of any kind because she is a greedy you know what!!! I hope these reviews are worth it, I paid for them so enjoy these Simeen!! They also say they can cater a smaller wedding 75 or less. We asked about this and were basically told we really should use a caterer!!

This year for my birthday my wife planned a weekend away for us. We dropped our kids off at their…read moregrandparents and then headed out. We wanted to get out of the city so headed 45 minutes west to the edges of St. Charles County. We stayed at an amazing AirBnB (Red Mule Ranch) and then decided to go to Cedar Lake Cellars. There are a ton of wineries in the St. Louis and Southern Illinois area. I've been to a lot of them, but had never been to Cedar Lake Cellars. It is a well known winery and event space just west of St. Louis. There are two main options for when you go. The Barrell Room is a large barn that has a mixture of beer, wine, and mixed drinks. This is the more casual of the two areas. There are large tables inside, and then an open patio area. The Barrell room doesn't have food itself, but just outside is a BBQ stand that also caters to patrons sitting outside. This is where my wife and I sat for about an hour or so before dinner. It had a lot of bachelor parties and larger groups. This area also has live music on the weekends. The second main place to eat and drink (skipping over the outdoor BBQ area) is the restaurant and tasting room. This is more of a formal dining room. The menu was modest but had a mixture of steaks, sandwiches, soups, and appetizers. The prices were very reasonable, and we very much enjoyed our food. The service was good, although maybe a bit overworked, and overall we had zero complaints. I got prime rib with two sides for around $35 which is a great deal. I was actually surprised at how reasonable the prices were. It just makes it that much easier to order a couple glasses of wine. Beyond the two main indoor/outdoor eating areas there are a number of other wedding venues on the property. There is also an stage and the venue hosts outdoor concerts. When we were there this aspect of the property wasn't being used. The overall property felt immense. It is a shame as it definitely felt like the winery could have a lot more people there than we saw, there were probably 75 tables/benches (or more) outside and only a handful had people. It could be that the heat was keeping people away, or just that wineries are declining in popularity from their peak a few years ago. Either way, we had a great time.

I WANT TO SHOUT MY REVIEW FROM THE MOUNTAINTOPS (aka: every preview platform possible )…read more Where do I begin?! I cannot say enough wonderful things about PSQ. Something that I really wanted for our brunch reception was a pop quartet. When we decided on having our wedding reception in St. Louis, I was so surprised to find that there was one based there. PSQ's vast song selection and their ability to learn new songs that we requested was a huge bonus for us. So many of our guests commented on how fun the vibe was with them playing. People also loved trying to guess the songs. I wish I had more events to be able to hire them for. If you are looking for a quartet, do not look any further than PSQ!

Certainly one of the easiest parts of the wedding planning process for us, it was truly a no brainer. I love string music at weddings but I wanted something a little less traditional than your typical string quartet. When I discovered PSQ during my research and watched their performances online, I was hooked! No other string quartet came close to producing such a beautiful sound. Rebecca was extremely responsive and organized throughout the planning and booking process. Their song list is incredible, they sound amazing, and all of our guests loved them. They went above and beyond to make our day extra special. Thank you!
