The Hideout has been a hometown staple for as long as I can remember, and I've made a lot of great memories there. The food rocks for bar food, and I've heard their breakfast is good too. Drinks are cheap and strong, just the way they should be! The bartenders and servers here are some of the most attentive I've seen--they're making drinks while serving tables, which is top-notch service you don't find at a lot of bars anymore. Karaoke on Friday nights is a thing, and they occasionally have live bands too. 4 stars because of the cigarette smoke. It's pretty heavy inside, and even after just a few minutes picking up takeout, you can end up smelling like smoke. It's the only place in Warrenton that still allows smoking, and with the building being so small, it can get overwhelming. That said, The Hideout is still a great spot for drinks, food, and fun! read more

2nd visit - clean, the waitress/bartender works her butt off. From what I could tell by herself. With that said, service is average and she does a fairly good job getting around to everyone. I have not experienced what it's like when the place is packed so when its not packed, she does a decent job. It remains extreamly clean for a bar. The Buffalo chicken wrap and fries have really good flavor, both came out hot. The burgers are frozen patties however so not so good imo. Being an older hole in the wall establishment I did notice the ac ducts dripping from condensate, so I'm hoping no mold is present in the actual vents. No evidence of it to the naked eye though. Definitely will come back. It's a decent place to grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks. read more

This is NOT a steakhouse; it's a local bar. That being said, the steak sandwich was quite good, and so was the cheeseburger. While we were there, they set up cans so they could play "washers." A regional game of tossing big metal washers into cans that are sitting inside of boxes. Who knew? Very busy local bar with lots of regulars, even in the middle of a snowstorm. Pool tables and lots of wall tv if washers are not your thing. read more

Don't let the exterior facade fool you! Great food at this odd, little place! Smoking is permitted inside, so we sat and ate on their back deck (pets allowed on deck).. I had a delicious grilled chicken wrap with homemade cucumber salad (yummy!). Our table mates ate the French Dip (outstanding), fried bologna sandwich (very good), cheeseburger and fries (killer fries), and a chicken salad sandwich. Everything was exceptional, including the service (Server Opie was so helpful). Only bad comment was the smoking inside. read more

This is a great local place, great food & Service. Sirloin steak, fries, soft drinks for two, paid the same at Denny's for breakfast. Worth the short drive off of local road from I-70. Great find, recommended for those tired of chain's & fast food restaurants. Definitely will stop here again. read more

Stumbled into this gem whilst traveling to St.Louis for a family Christmas. The front parking lot may be full upon your arrival, but don't hesitate for there is a back parking lot. We entered to a quaint bar scene with some locals having a spirited pool match, and enjoying some afternoon cocktails. I ordered the meatball sandwich that was on special, with the house made potato balls, I could not have been happier. My wife and son both ordered the cheeseburger with fries, and both were extremely satisfied. And to top it all off, I was able to enjoy my post meal cigarette inside at the table because smoking is permitted here. 10/10 would recommend and definitely will be back. read more

It doesn't look like much, but they season the steaks and cook them perfectly. The salad was fresh (not bagged lettuce) with lots of vegi's and the potato was cooked through. I will come back to try the prime rib featured on Saturdays. read more
