We went on a Saturday night for the first showing, at 2030. All guests were courteous and respectful. Many had lawn chairs and blankets that they utilized around their parked car. The Snack Shack is lacking in options, but fortunately there is an eatery attached to the outlet that is not any farther walk than the Snack Shack. Restrooms are also located near the eatery. Rules state that outside food and drink are prohibited, but I don't think anyone would approach you over it, after all, you are in your own, personal, vehicle. Bigger stadium style seating, better projection, and higher quality sound, with Dolby Atmos offerings for certain films. That said, you're going to pay for it. Whereas a late showing at Cinemark runs $9.50- $9.75 (as of 26 May 25), Malco is charging $11.25-$11.75. On Tuesday specials, you have a similar gap, with Cinemark around $5, and Malco around $7. I generally find this reasonable given the differences. We swung by on Memorial Day during a busy opening, holiday extended weekend. Booking online (and having to pay extra for it) helps get past any lines, and skip to the kiosk. Like most modern theaters, there's no traditional movie stubs; rather cheap receipt paper tickets, about as thin as toilet paper. Being a stub collector I find this disappointing, but again I can't ding them for it, as it's par for the course with most theatres. The staff was courteous, and the theater clean. Until that point I was sitting on five (5) stars ... unfortunately I cannot ignore or forgive the state of disrepair my "luxury" seat was in (picture included; House 5, Row J). And the two (2) next to it, weren't far behind, so it clearly wasn't a one (1) off. This is not something that gets accidentally missed, nor something that happened suddenly. Because of that, I can't get past a two (2). However, being a film lover, I will try again in about a month, booking the same House, to see if there are any changes. If so, I'll update my rating accordingly.

However, if you're like my husband and I and prefer a less crowded theater then I'd suggest paying the extra $1.50 per ticket and go earlier in the day if you're going to see a more popular movie. Cullman has a large population of teenagers who hang out at this theater and the neighboring WalMart and sometimes it's nice to avoid the teenage crowds. If you're taking your kids for a day out check into the specials they have in the summer for kids. We took advantage of the $17.50 popcorn bucket which you can refill anytime for just $3.50. We have thoroughly gotten our money's worth from it. After your movie go across the parking lot to 32 degrees, a frozen yogurt bar. Right now they have discounts when you show them your movie ticket.
