I ordered 4 yards of fabric and instead got 3 fabric samples

Ok so I ordered 4 yards of fabric but got fabric samples instead. I emailed and called and they offered to ship me new ones that day but because I needed it quickly I went down there in person. The correct order was ready to go and they refunded me the shipping cost. So while it was an inconvenience and now I'm working overtime to get this project done for my client, I appreciate how quickly they rectified it. I might order again from them if it's not a rush. The store itself was really nice. Much more organized than others in the FD.

Amazing selection of interesting and good fabrics. I ordered by mail and received the fabric promptly.

After shopping here for nearly 10 years, I'm ashamed to say that it took drama for me to finally write the 5 star review that Blue Moon deserves. My younger sister and I have been shopping here for nearly 10 years while we were CA residents. Every visit was always a good experience. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. We'd try to visit nearly every month because their fabric is amazing!! Some people may thinks it's a tad expensive, but their products are superior, particularly their spandex. They have colors and designs that you'll never find anywhere else. The fabric is an exceptional quality, vibrant and dazzling colors that catch everyone's attention. My sister and I design ballroom dresses for dancers on a budget. Because their fabric is so stunning, we don't have to go too crazy on the stones, making it affordable for everyone. I mentioned drama, here's the drama. Last month, I was in CA and my younger sister and I had saved up to buy fabric in person. I had a very large order and having been a frequent patron of the store, I didn't check my receipt. Had I done so, I'd have noticed that I was charged for two fabrics that I didn't order! . And to make matters worse I noticed this when I was back in AZ. TSA broke my bag with the fabrics and lost my receipt. I only noticed the error when I created an account. So, I reached out, not expecting to get anything back. A huge shout out to Evelyn for handling my situation like a queen be. And I was having a horrible day. I had a doctor's appointment with bad news, Hobby Lobby was out of stock of fringe that they put on special order, I came home to find my mother was sick, I had a non-dance related client cancel me. (Who cancels their wedding cake order 13 days before the wedding, then refuse to pay?!) So, clearly at this point, I do not sound like a customer that anyone wants to deal with. I wouldn't want to deal with myself!!Evelyn was able to handle me & my nerves and every problem that came her way. There were issues with the gift card refund, the points, we got disconnected and every bad thing that could happen, she dealt with perfectly. In the end she got me squared away and all was resolved. I will continue buying fabric from Blue Moon and hope that they expand to other states in time. Phoenix would be ideal as there's there's crying need for fabric stores out here!! I don't have photos of a the hundred+ dresses I've made from fabric I've purchased. But here are the 2 I did for my last 2 clients. Both students completed for the first time in these dresses and placed in the top 10 on their first competition. (And yes, they get points for apparel.)

Sooo soft soooo cool soooo purty

Today was my first time at new location!!! Beautiful!!!! As always gorgeous product, friendly helpful staff and sooooooo many options! No comparison to any other fabric shop in LA fashion district for swimwear, dancewear and activewear. They specialize in stretch fabric! Thanks again blue moon fabrics!!

They have great fabrics that no other competitors have. Elias and Liz have on a number of occasions have gone above and beyond to help me.

They even had some fabrics that were sold out online, which was such a fun surprise! They do still require masks, but they have free masks inside made from their own fabrics, which I thought was adorable. My mom has been getting into embroidery and learning how to sew, and she loved the community feel here. She's already sad we don't have something like this back home in Vegas Definitely worth visiting if you love fabric, sewing, embroidery, or just cute creative spaces!

Alright, Sewing Arts is my fabric store - my go-to, my happy place, my "I swear I'm only getting…read moreone thing" (lies!) spot. I could not be more thankful that this gem exists AND that it's conveniently close to my main work location. I've quilted on and off since 2008, but when I moved to LA in 2016, my sewing machine and fabric took very, very long naps. When my boss announced she was pregnant, I knew I wanted to make her a baby quilt. After hours of Googling fabrics, I walked into Sewing Arts thinking I knew exactly what I wanted. HA. Jokes on me. In fact, jokes on me every single time I walk in thinking I know what I want. Contrary to some of these other reviews, the ladies at Sewing Arts are some of the kindest, most patient humans I've ever met. Even when I'm standing there overwhelmed by *gestures broadly* literally everything, they're endlessly helpful. Sewing Arts was my introduction to Ruby Star Society, which has since become my absolute favorite modern fabric line. I swear they carry every bolt from every collection (until it sells out). The selection is remarkable! There's also a bountiful selection of patterns, notions, materials (quilting cottons, linen, rayon), cross point kits, etc. etc. And the best part? The community. On my very first visit, Kathleen asked if I knew about the local quilt guild. I didn't at the time but now the Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild (LAMQG) is what I lovingly call "quilt club," and I look forward to every monthly meeting (held at Sewing Arts!). The guild nights even come with a lovely member discount on fabric... dangerous for my wallet but wonderful for my soul. The only downside for me has been their long-arming service, which I've tried twice with less-than-great results, especially for the price, so I won't be going for a third try. Also, masks are still required, which you'll see mentioned in many reviews but the owners stand firm on the policy and even provide free masks at the door. There are a plethora of classes also available here (garments, quilting, etc.) so whether you are a beginner sewist, an expert, or somewhere in between - there's likely a class for you! All that to say, Sewing Arts has truly given me both inspiration and community. Five stars forever!!!

The store itself had everything you could possibly be looking for, for a sewing project or anything related. Their selection of trims was incredible and they also had patches and other items, yarn as well. They also had many many rolls of different types of fabrics, and they also offer clothing modifications. The best part, in my opinion, was their shop dog, who was so incredibly friendly I spent more time petting him than I did browsing around the store. He was standing right outside of the store, so if you're wary of dogs , even though he's so friendly, it is good to note. The store is right on Lincoln Blvd and the parking situation might be difficult if the front areas of the store already have cars there. There is a small lot next to the store but it might be reserved for the restaurant next door. I parked in the residential area right next to the store, so I did not notice if the lot was specific to the restaurant only. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. Was fun to just browse all of their items and it was nice to have a dog to pet!

His behavior was enraged, hostile, threatening.and very scary . The most horrifying part was when the woman asked him, "Are you kicking me out because I am Jewish and Israeli?" and he answered, "Yes, you are proving my point." That was not a misunderstanding. That was blatant antisemitism and discrimination. He was so aggressive that I genuinely feared he might physically attack her. I did not step in because the situation felt dangerous. What I witnessed was open antisemitic harassment against a Jewish Israeli woman. It was disgusting, frightening, and completely unacceptable. No one should ever be screamed at, humiliated, and thrown out of a business because they are of a certain race or religion. A couple minutes following this incident, the woman returned and politely asked to pick up her belongings which she left at the store probably due to her fear of being attacked . When the worker saw her - he became enraged and screamed at her to leave - refusing to give her - her staff. She said she will call the police and the man replied "i don't care - call whomever you want" She once again said she is calling the police and complaining about his business to the city and he finally gave her what she forgot when he kicked her out of the store . I am still shocked and shaking thinking about it, and I will never return. I hope this lady file a police report because this was clearly a hate crime and the store worker is also violating
