The Western approach - addictive pain pills, NSAID that destroys your guts, muscle relaxers that make me loopy. The result was always the same - the pain is masked but the underlying cause remains. I have dealt with this for nearly 4 years. When my back goes out I get lumbar shift - my entire upper torso shifts to the side and I have horrible nerve pain.
