    Lavender topiary

Drove up all the way from Indy to visit the market!! And I'm already planning my next visit. They have the cutest potted plants!!! We purchased a lavender topiary. And a few other cute little ivy plants. Then I got a vintage two shelf cabinet. This place was a treat to visit and definitely worth the long drive!!!!

I guess I was just pretty disappointed overall. There is a lot of hype when you are only open once a month so I had a lot of expectations going in, expecting to get blown away. I will say the place is pretty cute, lots of stuff that I am sure a lot of people just love. For me, I could not get over the prices. I mean wow, they just seemed so over priced. I get it, it is antique, it is vintage items, but I have seen WAY better prices on about everything that was there. For all of the items they do have, they have set it up pretty nicely and organized, it isn't just a pile or stuff to sift through. It is a bit maze like but it always leads you to where you need to go and you shouldn't get confused. Man, I really want to love this place more, but the prices just weren't doing it for me and I don't think I am a cheap person when it comes to pricing either (for what it is worth).

We just happened across this shop while on vacation and they had some really great vintage advertising signs and neat items displayed well. The market is only open on certain weekends, so be sure to check before you head over there.

Loved this place! Found some unique items for the house at decent prices. The frozen hot chocolate and delicious marshmallows were a bonus

There are some very nice mahogany and walnut pieces. I need to save up some cash. The building is really quite deceiving, there is just room after room to walk through. I really thing things were priced to sell. Some if the things were priced similar to what you would pay for a cheap modern day made-in-China piece. But as you carefully use some of these pieces they only appreciate in value instead. This is a must see shop. Give them a call ahead to see if they are open. It's owner operated without outside help so there are times they need to close up shop for the day.

Katie's Antiques was BY FAR the best antique store I have visited. I love looking at all the gems…read morethat stores have to offer but Katies was so much more than any other store I have been to. I felt like I was in a museum because items offered were hundreds of years old and most I have never seen for sale before. Their Toby mug collections were incredible and all the items I saw were fairly priced considering the age and value. people commented on their post that the store was too crowded with items but I loved that about the store. I spent over an hour just looking at all these incredible treasures and loved every minute of it. I wished there were more items crammed in this vast store so I could have stayed all day. The owner is an absolutely darling man who is so knowledgeable and friendly. I love to look at all the items but am not looking for expensive stuff and he didn't seem to mind that my purchase didn't amount to more than $20.00. I got an awesome Carnival glass cake plate for $9.00 and a Fire king bowl for $5.00... both were a great deal. check this place out because it is a hidden treasure for antiques!

Bottom line: if you're in MI City and into vintage, classic, nostalgic, maybe even historical…read morepieces, and at fair and reasonable prices, then these are the people to see. I have been coming here for many years and stop in whenever in town. The shop is located in the artsy part of the redeveloping original downtown and is a part of and reflects perfectly the downtown's eclectic character. The store is located in a great, older retail shop with a covered corner entry that lets them showcase some eye catching pieces to entice you inside. The vibe is slightly cluttered chic with distinct sections and it's easy to peruse based on what you might be looking for or discover things you weren't. I personally like that they are not too worried about "staging" like some places and just get the stuff out there. I am never disappointed at the amazing and eclectic collection of furniture, furnishings, decorations, art, books--almost anything you can think of and many things you wouldn't but glad you saw and bought. I always find something fun, useful, maybe even historical from some perspective, to take home. The owners are super friendly, very good humored (we usually have a yuck about something), and just nice to interact with. Depending on the piece, they may even be willing to entertain offers which is such smart business in this business. All-in-all this place is just fun and I always walk away feeling good about my purchase from both a value and price perspective but also from an interacting with the owners perspective. Check this place out!
