Passing through what seemed to be a coffee rich area. All coffee shops had good reviews. Picked this place based on where our RV was parked near where we had lunch. The ambiance, coffee, and service was all ok. Lots of seating inside, two tables outside. I'd have preferred if they offered skim milk, any sugar free syrup, Truvia. It would be nice if there was no step in and out, my husband didn't see it and as a result spilled his coffee coming out. The bathroom serves its purpose but could be nicer. All that is to say, in a coffee rich town with several options, you might want to try a different coffee shop.

Looking out front window around 7:30 AM They just put the tables and chairs out.

The young women here were very Courteous. I needed coffee first thing in the morning and I got here minutes after they opened. Very nice atmosphere. I'm enjoying a great cup of coffee right now before I go to work. There's very nice ambient music playing, I have not used the bathroom and I probably will leave in a second. But I'll definitely come back. I did not try the food because I don't eat food usually first thing in the morning. It's Morgantown so there's parking meters that are enforced 24/seven. I use a parking app to make sure I don't get a ticket. It's really easy to get tickets here so pay the extra 1.35 per hour. if you care sit here for a few minutes.

A great spot in Morgantown for food, teas, and for working! I got a large chai tea with honey which was good, but the best thing I ordered was a lox bagel on wheat! If you like a lox bagel, this is definitely a place you're guaranteed to have a good one. The small side of fresh fruits was also unexpected, but tasty as well. If you have some work you need to get done, I'd recommend stopping here for a bit and getting it done while enjoying the ambiance

Love the Blue Moose! Friendly staff, great coffee, AMAZING sun dried tomato cream cheese. It is my favorite cafe in Morgantown, without a doubt. The baristas are always super friendly, the coffee is similarly priced to Starbucks, but WAY better, and the ambiance is cool. There are plants all over and it's very down to earth. There is also some outdoor seating when it's warm out. My favorite order is the Asiago bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese, along with a cafe au lait (made with nondairy milk). My partner loves the lox bagel, which is around $11.00 (average price) and comes with fresh fruit. The parfait is also yummy!

Very nice spot. Great to do work and have a great cup of coffee. I enjoyed the ambiance due to the low calming music. The service was great, assisted me right away, you have to go up to the counter to get your coffee.

If you're looking for the achingly hip coffee house where you can show off your encyclopedic knowledge of all things coffee, this is not your place. If instead you're OK with a place that's a little rougher around the edges and is decorated with house plants that vaguely remind me of the 70's then you're golden. They were friendly, got me in and out quickly and most importantly they understand the definition of a large coffee. I'm in.

Came here for bfast on a Sunday morning. Straight off the bat, the service is friendly. Coffee was excellent (I had the barista make whatever was in their feels so long as it had oatmilk). Food was on the blandish side, BUT they have many healthy choices. Also, presentation was excellent and the side of fresh fruit was an unexpected nice touch. Place was buzzing but the service was still quick, which I appreciate.

Blue Moose Cafe is awesome. Played back. Wireless WiFi so dorks from UWV can do homework. Food is terrific.

Good selection, friendly staff, local roasts and a thoughtful name. What more could you ask for? It seems like a good place to read a book, catch up on some work or hang out with friends over a good cup of coffee.

A good place for casual meetings. A decent selection of teas and coffees, and some beer.

The best coffee I've ever had. I wait all year for the pumpkin spice roast. Great atmosphere, local art, and terrific coffee.

The place is pretty dirty. It seemed like they were understaffed and the one person working was not very nice at all. The food was ok.

It was well past 2 o'clock, and I try not to drink coffee after 11ish-o'clock, because it usually messes with my sleep. But I remembered the words of a man much wiser than me who once said, "I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death," so I felt like a lil' iced coffee would actually be beneficial, in this case. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. I left my confession there, and took my iced coffee with me and went on my way.

You can find it in the basement level below the Newman Center through the door off the parking lot on the south side of the building down a few stairs. There are a few parking spots available just a few steps away. This place is also late enough to study which is great, and they also have guest WiFi available. Besides being close to campus, they also accept Mounty Bounty! Inside you'll find a cozy little spot with pretty murals and cozy, warm furniture. There's plenty of space for studying or hanging out with a group, with couches, tables for two, or a bigger table for a group. The whole place is very clean, including the restroom which is a plus. The baristas are all super friendly and very helpful, offering suggestions when we were unsure of what to order. They have many options for drinks, including your standard coffees, cold brew, and specialty drinks. The lavender vanilla latte was delicious and i would definitely order again. I got the drink iced and the whipped cream on top tasted fresh and homemade. I love that you can buy a big bottle of cold brew to go in cute glass containers, which you can bring back to fill with a discount. Everyone i was with also enjoyed their drinks. The food looks really good, though this visit we didn't get to try any. Options include both sweet and savory pastries as well as sandwiches. I would definitely recommend checking this place out for studying or just grabbing a quick coffee to go. I love the relaxing and inviting atmosphere of this place and would love to spend more time here!
