Total roadside surprise in the best possible way. We found Blue Mountain RV & Trading by accident heading into Moab, and it instantly became one of our favorite stops. It's packed with unique art, cool rocks, gifts, and all kinds of Southwest character, but without the inflated prices you might expect. We liked it so much, we made a point to stop again on the way out, and we still didn't have enough time to fully explore. The staff were friendly, easygoing, and let you browse without any pressure. Beautifully kept RV park. Small but very Nice laundry facilities. Fully grown trees, green spaces. Front office staff was wonderful. We had a back in spot at the back of the lot, so we had a great view of the Ute Mountains. Slight traffic noise towards the front due to US 191. Would highly recommend! read more

Far and away the nicest shop we've been to with First People arts and crafts. The LOVELIEST shop keepers that we'd met on our trip. Beautiful jewelry, stones, and pottery. Lots of great books, kids items, hats, shirts. If you're in the area, it's a must stop. We were in an RV... and we didn't stay at their RV park, but if their shop is any indication of their RV park then their RV park is lovely too. If we're back in the area to pick up a petrified wood sink we'll stay at their RV park. read more

Great little campground with a trading post with very nice wares. We landed one of the new spots that has a flagstone patio, grass area, and a patio table and chairs. This is still a work in progress but even has a privacy fence between the two sites. It looks like they have plans to put up a pergola over part of the patio area. Very nice! read more

We stayed for one night as we were traveling from Colorado back home to Pheonix in early October 2021. This RV park is great. Wide and long sites, easy entry and exit and the office/trading post is fantastic. The owners were wonderful as well as the other office staff. Very welcoming to our dog in the office. The jewelry and hats in the office worth checking out. Definitely recommend this place If traveling through or staying for a few days. read more

What a chill RV park! The Trading Co is full of quality items and the owners there are so sweet and helpful. They know so much about the area and the culture here. Showers are super clean and the RV spaces are great! They're not to close together and each space has grass, it's own Grill, and picnic table. Hookups we're clean too. This place looks good but I have no idea what it's actually like. The Owner refused us a spot because were were in a camper without a toilet. They have Closed down all of their public facilities , including the ones in the park "because of COVID". This came from a man who wasn't even wearing a mask! We have been traveling in this beautiful state for nearly seven week and it's the first time we've seen anything like this. read more

The owners were amazing! I wanted to make sure to Thank them again! After a long day of driving from the Grand Canyon we pulled into o Blanding Ut and everything was closed. Luckily since it was the 4th of July, Craig and Kathy stayed late to watch the fireworks. We pulled into their facility feeling defeated and no where to stay, they offered us a full hook up spot and told us to come in the morning to pay. The spot was perfect! Very clean and well-kept RV Park. Luke in the office was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us two terrific ideas of what to do with our kids while in Blanding. The sites are large, easy to pull into and many are shaded with trees. The back row of the park has incredible views of the sunset. We only stayed for one night, but could have stayed longer as there are plenty of outdoor activities in the Blanding area andthe Blue Mountain was a great place to stay! read more

Great place to stay near Arches and Bridges National Park. Check-in was very friendly. Very windy while we were here. Internet is poor. Landscape doesn't look like website. RV is right on US 191 so there was road noise. Found some hiddeen ruins 1 mile north of the campground. Cedars Edge museum was a mystery see. read more

This park is GREAT! Facilities are clean and new. We are in the very back of the park and the Wifi is super fast. Staff is very friendly and helpful in sorting all the attractions here. Wish we could stay longer. read more

This is the nicest private RV Park we have ever stayed in. The only draw back is that it is on a semi busy road and while it doesn't bother me as much my husband is very noise-sensitive. HOWEVER, for a private park our spaces are larger than at most other parks and our pull through space has a nice patch of grass with a couple of trees, table and a grill. The owners take great care of the grounds with lots of flower beds and with watering the lawn. The only other draw back is that there is no ventilation in the bathrooms so unless you want to shower with the door open there is no air. I would recommend this park read more

Somebody here slashed/punctured my water hose. Realize, I've not met or spoken to anyone here - cause there are only about a dozen people at most here at a time. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow with tires and rest of my belongings in tact without any more vandalism to my property. read more

Awesome place to stay near Arches and Bridges National Park, the counter service was excellent, this place is clean and close to town. No problem with vandals with us, must have been an isolated incident. All the sites have full hook ups with 50 amp service. A nice stop is quaint little town. read more

Very nice facility. Grounds were maintained, and there was actually some very nice landscaping. Office staff was very nice and helpful, and the office area itself had room for a tasteful gift shop/art gallery. Restroom/shower area was clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Didn't need to use the laundry area. Pet exercise area supplied plastic doggie clean-up bags. I would definitely plan to stay here the next time I came through this area. read more

My wife and I left Anchorage Alaska 09/10/2017. We stayed RV parks in Alaska, Yukon Territories, British Columbia, Oregon, California and Nevada.These parks were both public and private with a variety of prices.The stay at Blue Mountain was the longest ,7days and the price per night was the cheapest. The staff more than helpful and knowledgeable. The facilities were clean and always maintained. We plan to return next fall and continue our exploration of fabulous area. read more

This is a really nice RV park altho a bit pricey for its category. It is clean and well-kept up and just enough out of town to be quiet at nite. It is a good and convenient place to stay while you explore the amazing area of Cedar Mesa. Its a bit higher in elevation than Bluff, so it was a lot cooler in late Aug and mid Sept than Bluff. (check out below for recc's on fabulous rdtrips from this location) The back part of the property looked out onto open field making it quite lovely with all the wild sunflowers in bloom. Showers, restrooms and laundry were dated, but very clean and well-kept. The showers had lots of hot water on demand and were very spacious (ADA). There is a doggy area that has a gravel path but enough native grasses to make my dogs happy. There is also a campfire area with what looks like will be a big arena or something around it on which they are growing grass. RV sites were pretty level, covered with rounded pebbles and had a long concrete pad like a sidewalk to park next to. All the hookups were convenient and no complaints. Wifi had some weird hiccups with having to constantly sign back on in a fresh browser, but was fast and convenient and I was able to watch YouTube at night with no slow downs even with ~40% occupancy. Craig owns the place, Luke and George work the native jewelry trading post/RV park office. Since its a trading post that Craigs family has run since moby dick was minnow, he may be willing to bargain with you on the prices on the RV park. All three are tremendous and very enthusiastic resources for all things native and recreational. They are there in Blanding because of their love for the area, so forget your guidebooks and ask away. I was there as a single female w/ dogs for a couple weeks and had no issues, no problems even with my preference to be as far from humans as possible. I did, however, notice that some others do not share my preference and even when the park has 80-90% vacancy, other campers still find the spot next me to be their choice. What's up with THAT? Blanding is about 70 miles from Moab but its a lot quieter, so for some it'll be a good alternative to overwrought pricing for crowded spots in Moab (just without the restaurants or fast food of Moab). Summary: Blue Mt is a great base camp for exploring one of the most intersting and densely site-rich areas of the Southwest with good RV facilities, close access to good shopping, good nite skies, quiet environment, cordial, helpful and informative hosts. I'll be coming back! Sidenote: Fabulous Roadtrip base camp There are three roadtrips one can take from this as your home base: one down thru bluff, to valley of the gods, and monument valley. Or take the 95 turnoff near the RV park and head to any number of arch sites like Butler Wash, Arch Cyn pueblo, the Fire House cliff house, down to Natural Bridges monument, then head south to Muley Point (famous Thelma and Louise climax!), and the ohmygod,weregonnadie road--Moki Dugway for breathtaking views of monument valley from a 1000 feet up; this view is GrandCanyon-calibre. Its that cool. From Moki, you can take a long detour thru Valley of the Gods (dirt) but I wouldn't advise it. Its a really long and boring road only diehard photographers should do. Instead, follow the road to Mexican Hat and head back thru bluff. Don't forget to get a shot of the town sign which reads "Bluff Esta 650 AD". This will NOT impress Europeans or Asians. Bluff is great for many different sidetrips to geological views and features as well as archaeological and petroglyph site but if you are camped at Blue Mt, you can come back over and over while being near a major grocery and Shopko dept store. Other day trips would be to Hovenweep, Mesa Verde, Newspaper rock and other Moab attractions. Oh, and stop into Pops breakfast place in Blanding for huge heaping breakfast bowls (really--you can make two big burritos with whats in the $5 breakfast bowl). read more

We are full time RV'ers and know our parks. This park rates really high. The owners really take pride in their park and take any criticism or complaint seriously. Everything is in really great working order. The sites are large enough, the hook ups are second to none and the restroom/showers are some of the cleanest we have seen. In Utah everything is sand!!! This park does its best to keep the sites with clean gravel and sand is kept in control. The park is on Hwy 191 which has very little traffic. The sky has very little light pollution therefore one can see stars not normally seen. Gary (I think that is his name) oversees the park and does really good work. He is also really knowlegeable of the area and ruins. He should be a tour guide. He is great. Blanding has the basics but does not have a Walmart and very limited dining. The Grocery store has the basics at high prices but that is expected in remote locations such as this. There is enough hiking and site seeing to fill months. We are not 4-wheelers but are hikers and do not think we could ever hike all the trails. Great place and great bargain. We will come back. read more
