We had a great stay at the Dessert Rose. Beautiful hotel, great room. There are very little places to eat at in Bluff, so it's great Dukes is attached, but pricey. Loved going to Sand Island and seeing the petroglyphs. Monument Valley is about 45 minutes away. Ask the front desk for directions to a hidden treasure, Wolfman Panel Petroglyphs.

Nice pool

The stay here was very comfortable, and relaxing. The rooms are decorated very cute, and cozy feel. The room we had came with a small coffee maker to brew in the morning. A small living space with a loveseat, and chair. The room was clean. They provide shampoo & conditioner in small travel size, tissue box, hand soap, charging station on the front porch. Very convenient & pleasant stay. In the lobby they had fresh brewed coffee, and nice selection of tea! Front desk person was pretty nice. If you have time they have a beautiful pool, gym area, nice big area to hang out and enjoy your coffee and company.

Inside cabin, it was clean and well decorated

Wow, this place is amazing. We ended up booking a cabin and it was awesome. Clean and spacious. We sat out on the patio enjoying the evening when a coyote came strolling by. It continued on its way but it was cool to see. The road noise sometimes came through but being in the cabin and not having to worry about neighbors making noise was nice.

I really liked this hotel. The pool is great. Be careful when you check out. They don't call or come to your room, you get charged a whole day. We were in the pool and lost track of the time on our checkout day and payed for a whole day without staying. Our plans were not flexible otherwise we would have stayed another night. A beautiful location. I would go back.

I stayed in the main Lodge. Room was clean, nicely decorated, and the bed felt like a cloud! I appreciate that the staff appear to be covid conscious - but this does men that the main lobby and restaurant are closed, and housekeeping does not refresh rooms. But honestly, when the bed is this comfy, who cares if it's turned down every day. View from the lodge second floor where I stayed is spectacular!

Stayed on March 10 Pros: -Great customer service: one of the employee gave me information of the Sand Island Petroglyphs. Another employee allowed me to use the private microwave before checking out -Rooms were just remodeled -Washers and dryers -The view from the pool area is breathtaking -They give extra towels in the pool area Cons: -No microwaves in rooms -The headboard is not screwed to the bed frame, it bumps into the wall when you sit back on bed. You are able to hear that to the neighbors next door due to the same reason ***They have a restaurant at this location, they only have 25 reviews on yelp vs other restaurants close by. If they would offer a discount to clients staying at this hotel, it would encourage more people to go. ****The executive rooms located next the pool, face the canyon (nice scenic view) and the decor is amazing

Hands down my stay in late March 2015 at the Desert Rose Inn is one of the best hotel experiences I have had.

The place is and elevated motel in a quaint town of Blanding. You're greeted at arrival by a kindly and courtesy host. I love no door key to lose just a code to get into your room. The parking lot is nicely set up the lodge is surrounded by lovely plants and trees. We had a nice patio set outside which we used to have dinner. Our room was quite large w a big bed there's two night stands a desk area large tv on and dresser; another bed in an alcove is great for another person to have a bit of privacy w a night stand. The room had a microwave, fridge and coffee maker w a selections of coffee and teas. Bathroom was large and a great shower area w a nice shower head that had good hot water when needed. The amenities were awesome. The soap smelled great and had an amazing exfoliating seeds build in. The body lotion felt so luxurious on my skin. Towels and bed linens were perfect. If you read my posts about food you know I'm a water snob well when lodging in a sheet snob (my husband would say I'm like the princess and the pea). The sheets were soft and comfy. We had a restful nights sleep and awesome shower w great pressure. We then we welcomed to a breakfast all homemade even seemed the juices we fresher squeezed. I had the savory crusty bread w egg, tomato, kielbasa, ham and cheese inside it was so yummy. They had whole wheat cinnamon rolls that the frosting was great as well as the great flavor. The overnight chia was great loved the creaminess of the mixture but the fruit on top was fresh. The oj was as fresh and the coffee (I'm not a coffee drink but my mom said it was great). She gave us banana bread to take and it was dense and great. We ate breakfast in the back garden which was pretty and peaceful. They had patio tables, picnic tables but also had chaises and fire pits. I love that they had a bowl of chocolate to choose from rather than a chocolate on your pillow (which always seems weird and bring bugs. I would go here again and hope I get back to the area to do

The owner also kindly called to greet me. Rooms are very comfortable and tastefully furnished, a great back yard to sit and chat with other travelers, and up to date facilities. My bathroom window even moved position to keep out light from outside. Lovely place.

I found this through the national Parks site, had to rank several choices and wait to hear back, so I didn't remember which one we chose or anything about it. After driving three hours through barren desert, Goulding's Lodge was like an oasis! The setting is absolutely stunning. It was other worldly and familiar at the same time, because the old westerns were filmed here! The staff was friendly and peppy. The cabin was clean, relatively new, and complete with a kitchen. The restaurant was quaint and vintage. The best part was the bonfire that the staff built for us! Sitting around stargazing was so memorable with our kids. We were all sad that it was a quick stop, but said we would love to come back to stay longer! If you're used to four or five star places, maybe you won't be impressed. But in context for the area it was pretty great! Also has laundry, on site grocery and gas. We went home and watched John Wayne in Stagecoach, and vowed we would go back!

It's a small cabin, but nobody is coming here so much for that as it is all about the view and enjoying monument Valley. The only reason we are given this four stars instead of five is because the restaurant inside the hotel proportion of the property is really bad. There is absolutely almost nothing around this place, so very important that you bring your own food for when you do stay here as you will be very unhappy with the restaurant on site. Other than that, we do strongly recommend this place.

Absolutely in love with our double queen balcony view room!…read more After seeing The View Hotel pop up on my Instagram reels a few months ago, I knew this is exactly where we needed to book during our motorcycle trip. I booked by calling the property directly. You will pay a $10/ vehicle charge to enter Tribal Land at the toll booth a quarter mile from the hotel parking lot. Make sure you keep this receipt if you plan on leaving the parking lot AND the one you'll get from the hotel front desk while checking in! We knew there were no laundry facilities on site, so plan accordingly. I brought over some soap bars from the hotel we stayed at before arriving to The View & washed what I needed to in the bathroom sink. Let my items hang dry at the balcony chairs less than 2 hours- dry as can be. The water pressure in the shower/ bath tub is amazing and there are shampoo, conditioner, & shower gel dispensers available. The scent reminds me of what greets you in the main lobby. I truly wish these toiletry items were sold in the gift shop, because they smell that good! In our room, there's a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker & personal safe for your belongings. Don't forget to claim your bottles of water at The View Restaurant! And redeem your gift certificate to shop at the Trading Post. Which offers a huge selection of Native jewelry, shirts, hats, and other goods. Although it says Complimentary Continental Breakfast available, on your check in papers- there are additional breakfast options besides sliced bread, bagels, & muffins. Assorted dry cereals whole milk & 2% milk. Crispy potatoes, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, pork sausage. Fruit cups, fresh apples, yogurt cups. A deli is available from 10am- 5pm, since The View Restaurant is closed for lunch. But, open for dinner (closes at 10 pm). Be mindful of the last seating time, I think is 9:30pm- since table service is provided. Staff has been friendly and helpful. There are no hot tubs & pools, for extra activities at the property. But, I think an exercise room is available. There are tour companies here at the hotel parking lot AND other tour outfits at the traffic circle - Navajo Welcome Center. We stopped at Basha's Dine' in Kayenta before checking into our hotel. That way we could have our snacks, bottled waters, and fresh fruit of choice before arriving.
