We stopped here for a quick shower due to our van not having hot water. The staff were super accommodating and kind. Showers were $10 each and the facilities were clean and nice. Water was hot and they allowed us to take as much time as needed. Definitely a great option for those just needing a quick stop along the road. read more

We just recently stayed a Thursday to Sunday. We came from Colorado to see the arches and this was very close to there. Location A+ I want to share the good first, so I will continue with that. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was quiet at night, everyone respected the quiet and guests were respectful. All the RV spots are pull through so no fighting with your spouse on backing up your camper. - haha. It was nice to have a pool (although they should really extend their hours and stay open later-8pm pool close is too early when the sun is still cooking. Now for the not so good- where to start :( The staff was never around when folks seemed to need them- I always saw people looking for someone who worked there. The women's bathroom was just unreal how gross it was. I truly think the only thing the staff did daily was empty the trash and refill toilet paper and one of the two paper towel dispensers. Never once cleaned or attempted to clean any of the three showers, sinks or toilet's. The little store they have closed nightly at 7, sometimes sooner. Which really wasn't convenient if you wanted a treat after dinner like an ice cream or adult beverage. You really have to plan ahead. We just went to town, but would have rather supported the camp ground and stayed there. Overall - this could be an AMAZING place. Just needs more staff, and a little more TLC- We would go back if we heard of improvements. read more

We stayed there for two nights while on a NPS tour of Utah. While all the services are provided, We found that the comfort stations were not very clean. My husband had the unfortunate experience where the men's stall had human waste all over it. This was after hours, but it was still so in the morning. While I realize it's caused by another guest, I recommend there be some periodic inspection by the staff to clean as necessary like other sites we've stayed at. This leaves very bad experience for guests who need to use the facilities. read more

The place was wonderful! Close to everything we needed. Quiet at night. Pool was clean. Beds were comfortable enough! Lots of families. Friendly staff. The only thing... cleanliness. The bathrooms were awful. The sinks were just not wiped down at all for days. Our cottage curtains were mighty dirty and had dead bugs on them. The sheets looked and felt clean. I would visit again. But I would likely make a stink to staff this time around for maybe a new room and for more attention to bathrooms. read more

We stayed at the Sun Outdoors Arches Gateway recently, and the front desk staff was amazing. They assisted us in upgrading our campsite to a cabin. They were friendly and attentive and did everything they could to make the small hiccups we had better. The maintenance man was unprofessional and very sarcastic. He could use some training on how to speak to guests who aren't giving him a hard time. All staff members complained about being "the only one there". Maybe have 2 front desk workers and 2 maintenance people to avoid stress in hot weather. read more

Preface: July 6-8 95-101 degrees. Good first...has a pool and jacuzzi but not sure how it was, too many people for me to partake. Does have a little "grass" and a tree at each RV spot. Big campground with lots of camping options. Good dog parks but the one by me was way too hot for my girls paws. Had to go out and enjoy pre 7am. Not so good...my areas bathrooms men and women's were roasting hot, I couldn't get the water to be cool enough in the showers. There was a big fan but just pushed the hot air around. Husband talked to the manager to see about adjusting the thermostats but she said she didn't know if she had a key...don't think it was ever changed. Oh also know that the dishwasher sink in our area is scorching hot water and no cold water would come out. Be warned. They may even want to put a sign up about it. Well there you have it. I get it...if it was colder outside the warmth of it all would have been nice but not during the hot months. Overall above average and comparable to close RV parks. Wait...just got my bill...they added a $30 resort fee and a $1.86 booking fee ??? read more

There are few places that make one feel wonder and majesty like Moab, you can almost imagine the dinosaurs that used to roam the lands here. Wow. And to make an unexpected visit to Moab along a cross country trip even more epic? Stay at Sun Outdoors Arches Gateway. We stayed during Covid and were floored by how drop dead beautiful, peaceful, well kept, clean and welcoming the entire resort was for RVers like us and cabin and tent guests. The general store is amazing and we even got an incredible welcome kit to keep everyone Covid safe. Got to bbq some steaks at sunset in this gorgeous resort and hear the pure joy from the pool, even the dog walk and areas were well kept! Our only regret is not being able to enjoy more days in Moab and at this resort as we made our way cross country and only hope to be able to return again someday! read more

Wow! This location is my absolute favorite! The staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. I was in site T15b with my Sprinter van for 6 days. I had power, water, and septic. All worked perfectly. I used the showers, dish sink area, laundry, and the pool/hot tub. Not one single issue. I even purchased laundry soap. I was here for the Moab 240 race so we were in and out quite a bit. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again! read more

Counter staff are friendly and quick, very nice after a long and weather stressful drive here. After parking and setting up the trailer, we ran errands and had dinner. Afterwards, realized we were not given a parking space number for the tow vehicle. It was late and I was exhausted so I simply parked in one of the MANY open RV spots overnight. In the morning the maintenance guy knocks on the door to deliver a message that should have been a phone call. They could have simply given me a place # and been done. I knew I was going to need to go find where I was supposed to park but had been getting some work done until that point. Then said "you need to go to the office and get a permit" over and over when I asked questions like where can I park. Maybe I should've been given one from the start? He also stated the reservation people don't know what I had for a trailer, (untrue because that info was required for the reservation). He said that I could've parked my truck in my rv space if I'd parked the trailer differently. Trailer is 24', space is less than 30', so thanks for calling me stupid but I cannot see that happening. He added that others had worked it out, (all have longer spaces), doubling down on his implication that he's smarter than I am. So I went to the front desk and he sent several other people to protect the desk clerk, unwarranted in my opinion but he was clearly scared when I was simply trying to get some parking info from him. To end this, I was given a parking space almost a 100 yards away from my trailer, in spite of needing to walk with a cane due to an ankle and knee injury the morning we left for this state. Pictures added to show the many open spaces close to our location. I get there are rules and policy, but one phone call could've changed the entire tone of the concern and an ounce of empathy could've resulted in a better review and future stays. But there are a lot of parks in the area, we won't be back to one of these properties. read more

We rented an RV for 10 days, having brand new laundry facilities helped us minimize how much we had to pack. I so wanted to love this place. I read many reviews and watched a bunch of YouTube videos. The facility itself is very nice. The staff were friendly at check-in and all that was very smooth. The sites are kind of close to your neighbors, but not too bad. But, I had two major issues with this place. First, we arrived during a time that the park was being used as a finish line for a 200+ mile endurance race. No one mentioned that before or during check-in. We saw it and assumed that the race would be over by the end of the day. Not true. In fact, for the entire 3 days we were in the park, runners were finishing at all times of day and night. When a runner came in there would be yelling, cheering, screaming, cow bells, and more. During the day, no big deal. But it continued all night long, every night. There may be been a break between 3am and 7am, but that was it. Don't get me wrong -- I have all kinds of respect for the runners and they deserve some cheering, but I didn't know I was buying a front row seat to a 24/hour per day party. I never got a good night's sleep here. I am concerned about what this means for the park as a business. I'm sure they made good money from the race. But what about all the individuals who were camping here? Did they choose local repeat business over individual campers who may or may not be repeat customers--I think definitely they did. The race folks did not have to follow the well-published rules -- like quite hours from 10pm-7am. They were even allowed to burn open wood fires when the rest of us were told that was against the law. I really don't care for the message this sends about customer service. My other beef was the shower/restrooms. At first, I thought they were not bad. Then I noticed the trash or items I saw on the first day of my stay were still there on the third day. Finally, after I had been there 72 hours a guy showed up to clean the restroom and did an o.k. but not great job. In my book, at the price I was paying, I don't think cleaning the restroom every 3 days is acceptable. I don't know that I would come back here. I would likely try somewhere else. And if I did come back, I would surely verify that there were no special events occurring that were more important than my desire to sleep in peace at night. read more

We stayed here for a week and it did not disappoint. The pool was an excellent addition due to the heat of the day, the sites were clean, and there was always an employee around if we needed someone. Love that the sites had full hookups! This is near the highway so it got a bit noisy with the trucks, but nothing that kept you awake, especially with the camper AC on! read more

Overall, this RV park is relatively clean and well cared for. It is also well equipped with some basic activities and a playground for the kids. However, it has a pool and a Jacuzzi that closes at 8:00 p.m. each night. This makes it very difficult to go out and enjoy your daily activities and dinner when it gets dark around 8:30 in the evening and then relax afterwards in the pool or jacuzzi. We had to cut our days short to make sure that we can enjoy the jacuzzi for the last 30 minutes before they closed at 8:00 p.m. each night. Then plan for a very late dinner thereafter so that we could fit everything in. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this campground because the use of the pool and jacuzzi in the evening is a major factor for us choosing campgrounds, especially when you're paying high daily rates to stay there and you can't even enjoy all of the facilities that you're paying for. read more

Because it's extremely difficult to reserve a site inside the park, this campground is an excellent option since it's only a mile from the main entrance. There are two separate sites for RV and tent. If you have a camper van or a small RV (less than 22') you may want to reserve a tent site which is less expensive and you still have a full hookup. Regardless, either the RV or tent site is small and next to each other. You won't have privacy. Coffee is free all day. The swimming pool is heated. However, the restroom and shower are OK. The Moab town is a mile away and grocery is two mile. read more

I have to say this place has a ton of amenities including 2-3 locations with bathrooms and showers for those who are tenting or staying in the mini cabins. They provide free coffee and have hot water and microwave if needed. They have full laundry hookups - don't forget you need to bring of buy your own laundry soap and have quarters for the machines. The card readers I've heard don't always work and there was a lady that was confused why it wasn't all provided. No, they do not have a coin dispenser on sight. They have a nice pool and large hot tub to relax in after playing all day. My one hang-up is the fact that they are so close to the main road and you can hear traffic all the time, especially if you are tenting and in the cabins. If you are pulling a trailer, you might not hear it as well if you are back away from the road. It's a little pricy, but all of them are in Moab if you choose to camp at a KOA. It's also a pain to get in and out of because the road is slightly hidden and again, it's the traffic you have to cut through if you are going the opposite direction. read more

Great campgrounds with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a deluxe cabin which included a private toilet, shower, microwave and mini fridge. It was perfect for my husband and I to get away for a week. The pool always had tons of kids swimming so we stayed clear. Super close to town (5 minute drive) and around the corner from Arches National Park. Not luxurious by any means but a huge step up from rent camping. Will visit again in the future. read more

The wife and I traveled here from San Diego. We towed our RZR in an enclosed instead of our toy hauler. After the nearly 12 hour drive we arrived. The office was closed but staff had our reservation ready in a drop box. We rented a cottage for the week. Upon entering we were amazed. It's basically a mini house. Large enough for a family of seven. It as very clean and stocked with plenty of toiletries. Small fridge but the kitchen is fully stocked with all the basics. We quickly settled in after that drive. Arrived after 5pm Utah time. We had to park the enclosed about a 100 yards away and hitch was unnerving since it stored about $60,000 worth of stuff. The park is very clean and everything looks new. The staff was very friendly and helped us with newbie questions since this was our first trip. We had a charcoal bbq and picnic table at our site. The park is just north of downtown Moab and easy to get in and out of with our 24' enclosed. There is a pool and spa but both were closed during our visit. The office has a store for a few camping related items if you forgot them. We brought a propane fire pit and good thing. No wood fires here. It was in the mid 30's at night. Don't really recommend bicycles. Park is small and everything can be walked to. Wish the recycle bins were next to the trash bin. Overall a great place to camp. But now the bad. The queen bed in our room was super uncomfortable. I get it, it's not home, but if you wiggles your toes the darn thing squeaked lime no tomorrow. The biggest down fall, the couch is really the only place to sit and relax indoors after a long day. It is simply the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat on. It appears to second as another bed but the thing is horrible. I would love to see a pair of recliners there. We would often be gone from 7am to 5pm off-roading. The chairs we brought to sit by the fire were 110% better than that couch! I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the couch and bed. read more

This resort is in a very convenient place. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. My luck was I reserved the only site with a dead tree and no shade. Staff very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there is a regular group that goes for Memorial weekend every year. They stay up partying till 2-3 every night they were extremely loud. Wake up to their trash everywhere. After spending an entire day exploring Arches National Park, Moab Valley RV Resort was a great place for us to stay! It's roughly 5 miles from Arches on the way to the heart of downtown Moab, Utah. Looking for a different type of experience, me and my father rented a Deluxe Camping Cabin for the evening. Our cabin was really exciting! It gave us the element of camping in the heart of the outdoors without actually sleeping outside! Our cabin had a queen size bed which I gave to my father while I slept on the top of a bunk bed of course! Kinda reminded me of my childhood climbing up to the top bed, lol. Blankets and pillows were provided as well. Our cabin also had an attached bathroom with a shower which was convenient and virtually brand new looking. It was also a cold evening in early May but we had an electronic fireplace to keep us warm! Our cabin was located in the RV park, which was pretty crowded with lots of tourists camping outside or in their campers. I'd say the camp was almost entirely full. At the entrance to the park, they did have a swimming pool and hot tub. And when you check-in, they provide you with homemade baked chocolate chip cookies...always appreciated! Having the opportunity to stay somewhere other than your conventional motel/hotel was something I was seeking, especially after being so inspired by all the incredible scenery at Arches NP. Moab Valley RV Resort & Campground certainly proved memorable and worthwhile. Our cabin was as good as can be expected. I only wished we had spent more time in Moab as I'd absolutely return during warmer weather, maybe even camp out next time underneath the stars! read more

Nice park just north of Moab close to Arches National Park. The staff was welcoming at check in, and quickly moved us to a different site when we discovered electrical issues at the first site, Shower and restroom were adequately clean. We really enjoyed our stay here. The views of the red cliffs were amazing! It was also a fantastic location, right next to the Colorado River and Canyonlands Night and Day boat trips. Also only a mile to Arches National Park. All of the RV spots are pull through so it's easy in and out! All hookups included! The pool was adequate but not huge, and you got a great view of the red cliffs. They have a small store with items you might need when camping, plus a laundry room. (Make sure to bring quarters). There was a great rainbow in the sky one night, and they have steps with a platform to take photos over the fence. The only issue was that the trash Bins were always overflowing. We stayed at this RV park during early February. This time of year the park is very quiet. This park is actually 25 years old but is well maintained and has the appearance of a much newer park. The area is well manicured with picnic tables between RV sites and lights between each site. The wifi worked very well. They are able to refill propane tanks on site. They even gave us two chocolate chip cookies upon check-in! An added bonus is that we could park our car right next to our RV. For dog owners there are two doggy parks. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed at this RV park for three nights, February 6-8, 2018. read more

This RV resort is situated in a beautiful area of Moab. It is right off of the main strip making it easy to find. The RV sites are all pull-thrus and have easy hook ups. The backdrop landscape is the front of Arches national Park. It is just absolutely stunning. This resort has a nice well-maintained pool, showers with privacy, and a laundromat which is nice and clean. They have a bike service station, outdoor games such as chess, checkers, golf. We wish we could've stayed longer at this resort. However, we also were there in 2018 and camped with tents and they have very nice covered camping sites for the tents. read more

We had to change our plans 48-hours + and had the worst customer experience! They have no compassion and are money grabbing refusing to refund your days. After complaining, she finally offered to give us a credit for a year to go back, I can only imagine those that give up too soon that don't get anything back, disgusting. Camping always has a bit of uncertainty to it and their no refund policy after 14-days is ridiculous! Most parks say 48-hours before which is more than reasonable. To make matters worse, they wouldn't answer the repeated phone calls to an 800 number and didn't list a local number to call. Finally got a hold of a human and she was less than nice. We have choices when selecting an RV resort, this won't be on my list. Make sure you don't have any problems or you'll lose everything. Not a place that I will spend my money again. read more

Stayed here for three nights and it's a pretty nice place. We got the basic cabin which to my surprise comes with electricity, including an AC unit!!!!!!! Yes this was exciting because it was over a hundred the days we stayed. The place was clean and has a table out front with a grill. It's charcoal and propane only no wood fired here. Also there is a cute patio with chairs provided to enjoy fresh air when it cools off. They have a handful of activities here which were nice but it was so hot I was tapped out during the day. You can bring your dog but the one thing I wasn't to impressed with was the dog area. It was all gravel and in this weather I can't say that is very nice for dogs. They were doing construction while we stayed but it didn't bother us. Was never to loud and never started early in the morning. Showers were "free" or I guess included in your stay and laundry is $2.00 a wash and $2.00 for a load in the dryer. The staff was nice and helpful and even when we came in from a long drive a bit absent minded, they welcomed us and were very patient. The pool got a bit crowded, but that is expected in the Summer. The jacuzzi was unique with its rectangle shape and little fountain type water splashing into it. The bathrooms were always clean each time I used them and same with the showers. There were a ton of bugs, but there's nothing they can do about that. When we were there the water levels were high so the bugs were living their beat life. Couple pieces of advice: use deet bug spray to help keep bugs away and spray regularly, bring citronella candles if you plan to be outside or tent camping, if you are tent camping and it's during summer or even winter months, budget to get the basic cabin. You won't regret it. They have a heater as well in the cabin and you can get a set of sheets, pillows, and towels in the office for $15. NOT $15 a day just $15 flat. Then at the end of your stay just leave them in the cabin. Our cabin had a queen size bed and a twin bunk bed, as well as a heater, ac unit, and blackout curtains. Well worth the money if you can afford it. We usually tent camp, but I'm glad we didn't here! The basic cabin is very much worth it. Oh yeah and WiFi! This was instrumental since we were in Summer online classes during this part of our trip. read more

We arrived at the RV campground today and met Dawn at the front desk. She was amazing with information about visiting the Arches National Park, what to see, when to see them, and most importantly, to get a timed gate pass to go into the park between 7am to 4pm. She was a life saver. Otherwise, we would not be able to get in the park the next day. We followed her instructions and got our pass for $2 to get in at 7am. In addition, she told us about the Canyonlands National Park, what to see there, and that the Dead Horse State Park is even better than the Canyonlands National Park. What an amazing and helpful lady Dawn is. With that kind of customer service, we will definitely recommend this place to anyone. We got set up at our campsite and everything looks wonderful and functioning. I will write another review after we get home about the campsite. read more

At the end of August in the beginning of December this year me and my wife came here in our camper for about five days. The place is kept very neat the staff was super friendly and the views are absolutely amazing. One of the things I liked best about this is the access to the two national parks and also entrance to the Colorado river, it's also not that far from the downtown area and all the good eats. The swimming pool and spa was open and that's a plus. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the Moab area for sure. read more

This is a nice campground and staff friendly upon check in. The RV sites have medium size trees and a nice picnic table on a concrete pad. A little grass in between sites but the sites are very close together. The restrooms, showers and pool area are very nice. My biggest negative is that they advertise 20, 30, or 50 amp power for the convenience of their guests, but after we checked in and had only 30 amps, they said there are only random sites that have 50 amps. No where does it state that in their advertisements or upon check in, or on your confirmation. We can make due with 30 amps normally, but we arrived during a heat wave of over 100 degrees and had issues running both air conditioners at the same time. Needless to say it was uncomfortable in our RV, but with great restaurants, and so many activities around, we were able to somewhat stay cool, just not at our site. I recommend this park, but confirm what level of amps you need prior to booking. read more

Hubby and I stayed here for two nights passing through Moab. It's nice, but definitely not for those who are wanting a "real" camping experience. Paved driving areas, gravel campsites, and colorful little shelters to put your tent under. No fire rings, but each space has a little charcoal grill to use. The bathhouse is well maintained and clean. A downside (and upside) is that it's located so close to the main road. Traffic noise is near constant, but that's what you get for being centrally located. read more

We stayed one night in a water/electric site because we had a large tent (16x10). The facility is clean with free showers and flush toilets. There is a pool and large hot tub and a small registration area with a small convenience market onsite. There is a laundry facility. The staff was really wonderful to work with. They addressed our concerns and let us view the property before deciding to stay there. We loved it so much we came back the next night and stayed in a cabin. They only had one left (right before a 3 day weekend) but we took it (sleeps 4 and there were only two of us). It had a small fridge, tv, heater, a/c, double bed and bunk beds. There is a grill on ALL sites and picnic tables. On the small front porch are two benches. It is a sweet little cabin. And CLEAN. includes sheets and blankets and pillows on ALL beds. Definitely can recommend this facility with 5 stars. There isn't anything wrong with it. Located very close to The Arches National Park. read more

Crashed in an air conditioned cabin to treat ourselves for a night after hiking the neighboring national parks, and the HOT TUB and POOL didn't hurt either ;) The AC was fantastic, adjustable settings. Beds were comfy, a queen and set of bunk beds in a decent sized one room space. We didn't need to make use of them but there is a grill and picnic table out front of the cabin and electric outlets inside and out. There is a large tent with a bunch of tables for community use, and some fun looking people sized chess boards, so I'd say this place is great for kids. Bathrooms were clean, shower water was hot and good pressure. Overall this was exactly what we needed for a one nighter. read more
