It's packed with unique art, cool rocks, gifts, and all kinds of Southwest character, but without the inflated prices you might expect. We liked it so much, we made a point to stop again on the way out, and we still didn't have enough time to fully explore. The staff were friendly, easygoing, and let you browse without any pressure. This is the kind of place you hope to find on a road trip but rarely do. Give yourself extra time...you'll want it.

They park is very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is so much on the premises. A hotel, pool, gift shop, RV supply spot, restaurant, museum, excellent landscape viewing areas, hiking trails, the list goes on... The scenery is fantastic as you are surrounded by beautiful towering red rocks on all sides. I did a separate review of the restaurant which was unique and deli. If was not so crowded and lacking much outside space at the camp sites would be 5 stars.

As far as the park goes, our site was pretty level with a picnic table and fire pit. My wife said that the laundry room was very clean but was a little pricier than most places we've stayed in the past few years. The indoor pool was nice but a bit chilly, there's an outdoor area to soak up the sun. Be sure you bring plenty of groceries as the local market is a bit pricey. There's a restaurant located not to far away, but, to be truthful the food was as subpar as the service..

The caps on many of the dump pipes are missing or not replaced. But on the other hand, staff is always nice, and they do replace trees that are damaged from wind etc. I haven't checked out the restrooms or showers but I know people do use them. This is a popular campground as it is right in the middle of Monument Valley with great views. Gouldings campground in the area is nicer but this KOA is always on our way right off the highway (163, Forrest Gump Hwy).

We pulled in and were shocked when they told us the one night rate was $90. A month ago at Gouldings RV park we only paid $60 per night. Last week when we stayed in a Luxury RV Park near Prescott and paid only $74 per night and had a hot tub & swimming pool and paved streets. This park is new and the landscaping is young and the place is clean. KOA's are out go to RV stops because they are always reasonable and we've always been treated well. From now on we will stay at Gouldings when in Monument Valley. Their park is in a much nicer location with great views and hiking.

The spot was nice and had plenty of room, the only downside was that the sewer hook up was elevated and near the middle of the site so I had to pull up when leaving to get to it. Since it was elevated I had to use orange blocks and the sewer track to get things working. The rest of the site was nice and the restrooms and showers were clean and worked great. Unfortunately we had to drive down to Santa Fe so we missed the burro fest in downtown the day we checked out, it looked like a load of fun.

Location A+ I want to share the good first, so I will continue with that. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was quiet at night, everyone respected the quiet and guests were respectful. All the RV spots are pull through so no fighting with your spouse on backing up your camper. - haha. It was nice to have a pool (although they should really extend their hours and stay open later-8pm pool close is too early when the sun is still cooking. Now for the not so good- where to start :( The staff was never around when folks seemed to need them- I always saw people looking for someone who worked there. The women's bathroom was just unreal how gross it was. I truly think the only thing the staff did daily was empty the trash and refill toilet paper and one of the two paper towel dispensers. Never once cleaned or attempted to clean any of the three showers, sinks or toilet's. The little store they have closed nightly at 7, sometimes sooner. Which really wasn't convenient if you wanted a treat after dinner like an ice cream or adult beverage. You really have to plan ahead. We just went to town, but would have rather supported the camp ground and stayed there. Overall - this could be an AMAZING place. Just needs more staff, and a little more TLC- We would go back if we heard of improvements.

Conveniently located near Blanding, Utah as a gateway to Bluff and other Utah southeast attractions. I scoped sites out on Google Earth and reserved site #11 for tent camping. Ample backing up space, great steel picnic table and separate gas stove stand. Looks like the campground hosts (which I never saw) had thrown in a couple of logs. Really quiet campround and the bathroom was spotless, plenty of TP and even air fresheners hanging. I did not have a chance to hike around the surrounding area but this was a great campground. I did some astrophotography at night and there was no light pollution.
