The fuel/transport fee was above average especially given the move location was only a 2 miles distance. They added an extra mover the day off bc we have stairs. Though that was their decision, we were charged above the quoted rate for the additional person. I paid cash, which gave us a 10% discount but with all the extra fees, the 10% isn't much of a savings. I still tipped and nothing was broken or damaged during the move. They also arrived on time and helped taped boxes that needed additional reinforcement. Boxes were placed on the appropriate rooms based on the labels. I would hire them again but would budget for 15-20% more than what they quote.

Leaving most items unassembled and taped or boxed up. The lead mover even threatened and did leave unfinished because I asked if the bolts on my bed were being stripped, as I could hear the drill stripping them. Then attempted to charge double what was quoted, charging me extra for an additional mover I didn't request and for unnecessarily used tape. They literally wrapped tape around a mattress and taped up sofa pillows and charged me an additional $165 for packing supplies used. But somehow managed to scratch up my entire dinette, chairs included. Giving them 1 star is being generous; there is nothing professional about them.

The cost was comparable to the 2 other quotes I had received. On the day of the move, I ended up in the hospital, and with a few friends to direct the process in my absence, it really went off without a hitch!!!!!!! When it came time to deliver everything, they were efficient and careful with most things and nothing was broken in the process. there were 3 issues... 1) they could not get a couch out of the old apartment (Even though it was brought in) and they left it and I had to pay to dispose of it. 2 )When they unloaded everything unbeknownst to me a number of items were placed in the garage. (I am in a wheelchair and couldn't watch everything. I had to pay someone else to bring them in to the condo. 3 ) I spent $250 for $25,000 in additional insurance and after unpacking I realized the tub with an essential computer for my business was missing. The computer while valued at $800 was secondary to the files and records on it that were not all able to be backed up. When I tried to find out what happened they said they talked with the lead mover and they didnt know what happened to it. And because I was still sick from being in the hospital and couldn't unpack everything quickly, they said because it was 14 days later that I could not make a claim. While the move was accomplished and with relatively little trauma, I can not recommend Orly moving.

The entire process from getting an accurate quote, to the team showing up on time, taking care of the items (they did the packing up of my mom's stuff as it was too difficult for me), to moving items to their eventual place, was easy. I used a different mover (found on CraigsList) when I moved out of my home into my apartment and I ended up doing at least 1/2 of the work. For my mom's move I sent Liz pictures of what was in her room, the team showed up on time after calling me when they were a few minutes out, were kind, packed things with care, and made sure I understood the process. Frankly the bar is so low for this type of work, that it isn't hard to be disappointed (showing up on time? Charging what the quote reflected?). The local team is great. Payment was easy. They work their butts off. When I eventually move again, I will only use Orly.

When my items were picked up, I was told I didn't have insurance but the company told me I had insurance when I paid my deposit. Then they sent me on a wild goose chase, calling these insurance companies knowing I had to add insurance at least 3 days before pick-up. So, I wasn't able to insure my stuff. On the day my stuff was being delivered, the movers called to claim I owed an additional $75 because they had to use the elevator and told me to check my contract. I proved that there wasn't a $75 elevator fee in my contract and the guy said "doesn't matter, you still have to pay $75 for a long carry". The guy literally wanted the delivery guy to call him on FaceTime so that he could watch him walk from the elevator to the door. And even though the complex layout says it's less then 75 ft - which would constitute a long carry - they still said I owed them $75 and they wouldn't move my stuff until I paid the additional. They basically did everything to find a way to get me to pay this $75. Not to mention, they were late with the delivery. Meanwhile, I was calling the corporate office and no one would answer. I emailed, I called, left voicemails and nothing. Still haven't heard back. I called the day after to make a complaint and the guy I spoke with was very rude and claimed he would look into it and call back but has yet to call back. Either way, people hire loving companies to take the stress off of themselves and honestly, I would've been better off renting a uhaul and moving my stuff myself because they gave me anxiety every step of the way. I would advise you to save yourself the trouble.

It was someone new as we usually used local movers. We've moved multiple times within the many years we've been here in Maryland. This was a local move from Brewers Hill to Upper Fells, not far at all. I called to make sure they did local moves and they said yes. It seems as I called someone in California. They were very receptive initially. After I deposited the money, I didn't get any information until a few days before and I actually had to reach out to them first. I then got a call from someone that didn't really know the situation. Couldn't get a hold of the guy that initially started it all out. I was hoping for the best. All that aside, I was told the guys would call me 30 mins before. I got a call at 8 or so in the morning the day of. He did not have the addresses of any of the places. Found out he didn't have the right size truck. I was quoted an estimate and understood that it would probably be a bit over that, but not 500 dollars over. 1. Tried calling that day to get a hold of ANYONE...2. Guys started moving slower...understood but they only had 3 guys and I told the initial guy in california (in which he obviously didn't get a good understanding of how much we had) so the 2 bed house with a 10x10 storage unit and more boxes in the basement of the place we were renting...I told him I would even get pictures. ANYWAYS!!! Frustrated that it was taking way longer as the guys finally got to the house with, I thought, all of it...found out that it was not a big enough truck to make it all in one run. This pushed the amount much higher as they started to move slower. I realized that since this probably was not KERB...it was contracted out...the onus is on KERB for not getting a good understanding of what we had, not even calling me back the day of, and then trying to email and phone me after I had put up a bad review. Sorry, but you should have called me that day. You should have gotten a better estimate on what was being moved. If Yelp's not recommending software either deletes this or whatever it might be that they take it off again...I'll add it again. Not happy with Kerb or Yelp at this point. My mom asked me to help and look for movers for my aunt that lives in the east coast. She needed…read morehelp moving back to Texas. So, I took my chances with Kerb. We've used other movers in the past for similar long distance moves and in terms with overall experiences, Kerb was the best! They were very particular about arriving on time for pick up. With that being said, they were 15 mins late. Lol. But i have to say their hard work made up for it. The movers was very thorough with the package and handling ensuring that no items received had a slight scratch. These guys are definitely well trained professional movers. Amazing moving skills that I would of never ever thought about. These guys work with nothing but boxes, crates, tape, plastic and bubble wrap. We were amazed. The good new is nothing came ruin or broken full service of packing and unpacking. It doesn't get better than that. My family was left highly satisfied with the personal attention and responsibility taken by the company during the move. Gotta give these guys a try if anyone one looking for a long distance move.

I used this company last week to move me through uhaul. The owner Devaugn McCoy was very…read moredisrespectful at the end. I requested 3 guys for 8 hours. He called 6 people and worked 5 hours one day and 4 hours the next charging me way more than we spoke about. He didn't want to do the work so he brought on more people hoping to do it in less time and charged me. The first day his 2 guys too 4 hours to empty a uhaul storage unit. They broke boxes of dishes and didn't pack the truck right. When it came time to move the things out of my house they had to unpack the truck and repack it. He charged me for that time. The next day he took trash and a mattress to the dumpster which I never asked for and charged me for that. He rushed to do that by 5 abs didn't finish moving my things he was hired to move. They took beds and mirrors apart and didn't put them back together and loss the screws. He was supposed to to come back and finish putting things together and remove 2 tvs that he left in my old place. He was very disrespectful and told me to get someone else to do it and he wasn't coming cause I don't listen. This man is very unprofessional and I would not recommend him to do any job ever.

What a grand way to run a business. He asked, "I guess a better question is how do you know the movers who brought this to the storage unit (before his guys) didn't damage the furniture?" He then proceeded to say "If you never took the blankets off to inspect in storage how could you be SO sure they weren't damaged?" EXCUSE ME. Because it's my furniture and I pay attention. My belongings weren't damaged by me, and they know it. To top it all off, they're not on the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint - how convenient... not.
