Crazy to think that ending up with 2 rescue style dogs, within months of eachother that were more so in the "timid" category. One we have had one since last November that just went for her first time about a 2 weeks ago, then came home, saved another and decided he was breaking out of his shell and after just the first experience, we figured "let's see what Jess can do!!" Sure enough, the dogs once again loved every bit of it, the contact each time was on point, her attitude and hospitality while also giving you a hint of how she runs her business. Thats how it's done!! But also, the flexibility was perfect, easy to get ahold of and definitely knows what she's doing. Even on our trip we got to share with everyone all the pictures AND videos she was gladly enough to offer!! Our little girls kept saying right off the bat how much they missed there puppy the first time, but shortly after the pics and videos started coming in and had the whole rental car holding back tears of joy and definitely some laughter. Blows your mind sometimes that just from just a random call from word of mouth, BAM! Just like that, it might not be often, but the "shy, timid" doggos that once were, now have a second home whenever they visit just like that. And she sure is a whisperer, because that shell they were trying to break of is gone!! We're not quick to judge good or bad, but remember it's all in the real time confrontation. She nailed it! We caught on to the "Auntie Jess" as well and if I even mention it while referencing, doggos ears perk right up! Well from one big family again to yours.... THANKS AUNTIE JESS!! PS. Did I mention we highly recommend?!?!

I told them it was about a year and half since her last rabies vax. We had gotten her from a human society near our home. They called them and since they were closed was unable to confirm that she was current on her vaccine status. The vet refused to see her unless we let them vaccinate her again. My argument was that her body was already fighting an infection and giving her a dose of vaccine unnecessarily was only going to compromise her immune system further. He didn't care and refused to see her. So basically the only thing important to them is vaccines. The health of the dog wasn't any concern to them. We left without my dog being seen. Luckily I have a backround of natural healing. We went to a health store got what I needed and proceeded to care for her myself. I do not recommend them and will never ask for their help again.

I was crying, the loss was so fresh when Dr Brilla said to me( she has an ill dog herself ) "My dog has 4 different oncologists working on a plan for her to live", smiling the whole time. She had treated my dog for months. Her insensitivity was shocking. It hurt to hear how little this vet thought of us. I will never go back.

Check the reviews and pay attention to the dates! Almost every review is from the previous owners who are excellent. NOT THESE ONES Jason is scary and also seems like he would take his aggression out on the animals. My dog never liked him, nor did she like going to this establishment. At her previous daycare she would pull and whine with excitement until we went into the building. Here, her tail was tucked and I had to force her into the building. To no surprise now, my dog always seemed fearful of Jason. We had an incident here last week when I asked Jason if I could pick my dog up early as I had an unexpected half day off work. I got off at noon with only a few hours notice, and I asked when I dropped my dog off that morning if I could pick her up a little after noon, (since it takes about 15 minutes to get there from my work) but I would gladly pay the whole day since I booked the whole day. He said "sure fine" and pulled my dog into the back. I arrived at 12:25pm and the building was closed, lights off. Nobody answered any calls or emails. I was so confused. Perhaps Jason just forgot he said it was fine. I was concerned there was nobody on the grounds and I couldn't get a hold of anyone (I mean what if the building was on fire? Who would know?! What if I had an emergency and had to pick my dog up right away?!) but ultimately I just figured it was a miscommunication or he forgot. Once Jason did arrive, he was rude and aggressive. He said they closed at noon and there are "fees for this" and he tried to tell me I told him I would pick her up BEFORE noon. Which is impossible because I did not get off work until noon. I told him a fee would have been fine had he told me that this morning. At my old daycare they had fees for picking up outside of pickup times and I completely understand that and have paid them, but he never said anything about that. I put as much distance between us as I could, I stayed near the door. I have never been treated like this. I was scared. My phone was in the car and I had no way to protect myself. I went back to my car to grab my phone while he was billing me so I had a way to call if I needed help. He sat at the counter and I told him he needed to get my dog now. It seemed like he was being extremely slow to make me uncomfortable and wait, to show me he had control over me and my dog. Finally, with what usually takes 30 seconds to grab my dog, but took much longer, he comes out and hands me the leash and I asked him to cancel every booking (I was bringing her in daily and had some weekends booked) and he said "sounds good" in an uppity voice. Also, keep in mind, I am new to Hayward, like... only been here two weeks. I had just started to bring my dog here and this was going to be a long term arrangement. I booked out weeks in advance, and was bringing my dog in daily for daycare. I wasn't just a random once-in-a-blue-moon customer. But I only lasted a week before this happened. Aside from this very scary situation, the business is completely disorganized and understaffed. There are hours during the day where the dogs are completely alone, no way to contact the owners, and no way to get access to your dog. They get no exercise and are just in the kennel all day, everyday. It is nice to have your dog somewhere safe, and this place IS NOT IT.

We heard about R&R and decided to give it a try for boarding. The company was flexible with drop-off times (due to a typical Duluth snowstorm), saving us a huge headache. At pick-up, Sarah, a trainer, was able to tell us how our two dogs did, and even what their personalities were like in the kennel. This is HUGE for us because we have tried so many kennels where the workers forget our dogs' names or have very minimal interactions with them. When we were leaving, our dog with separation anxiety (who normally runs right out of boarding facilities), rubbed up against Sarah to say "bye". This has NEVER happened and greatly goes to show Sarah's great relationship with the dogs here. THANK YOU Sarah and the rest of the R&R team!
