What was projected to be a $500+ job turned out to be $300 due to the tech troubleshooting and finding out that the part was not the more expensive part, but 2smaller parts that cost considerably less. Like most, I don't know the details of such a job. He could've charged me for the more expensive part plus the others. I wouldn't have know any better.
