Honestly, I'm more impressed every time Ridge Plumbing comes out to service our property. Tony came out today and solved four plumbing problems in record time. It takes forever for the hot water to heat up in the kitchen, master bath and laundry room. I have to keep turning on the faucet in the kitchen to run hot water for the dishwasher while it's running or the dishes won't come clean. I've given up on hot water for the washing machine. We had a leak under one of the master bath sinks. Dakota had to figure out how to remove the pesky cabinet drawers that had baffled my husband and I then saw out a bottom panel before he could fix the leak. He also reversed a faucet that a previous handyman had installed backwards. Additionally, Dakota left no mess behind which has been a huge problem in the past with other repairmen. We had a problem with our toilet that was very slow going down. We had an appointment for a service tech to come out. The window they gave us was 11am to 1pm. Of course we stayed home. At 1:30 no call no show. We called and the girl said he will come between 2 and 3. Asked her "are you sure'? She said well let me connect you to him. The phone rang and we were put on a call back list. We understand that jobs can run over and people run into issues that were unexpected but when someone misses an appointment and does not even call to update you on the situation, we lose faith in doing business with that company. We then cancelled our appointment and would not call them again. It is a shame because we try to always support local businesses. read more

I am only giving 1star because there is no option for awarding negative stars. If Yelp offered that rating system I'd give these people a negative 5 stars. We purchased a house in October of 2020 and Ridge Plumbing had been called to the house several times for issues that the previous owners had before we purchased the home. Many plumbing issues showed up on our extensive pre-purchase inspection and Ridge plumbing sent Tony out to fix ALL the issues. So with a "clean bill of health" and an assurance that everything had been fixed we went ahead with the purchase. The first night in the home the same leaks occurred. Of course, we called Ridge Plumbing as they had signed off on everything being fixed and also had warranted the work that had been done before our closing. When we called the realtor who had represented the sellers he told us that the sellers were not at fault because they had employed Ridge Plumbing, who warranted their work, and that I needed to call Ridge again. Of course, they sent skilled Tony again, who named yet another problem, and after working once more he said it was fixed and charged us an arm and a leg for fixing the "new problem". So, we expected that surely the leaks were fixed at that point. (Note that we had now paid them two times to come and fix a problem that was supposedly fixed prior to the closing on the house. And they always charge a lot, and since they called out a "different" problem each time, they could charge us [each] time since the problem was "new". Please don't think this is the end of the story...... fast forward to Thanksgiving and add 3 people to the number who were in the house, my children, for the holiday. On the day before Thanksgiving we were awakened in the night by my son who said the toilet upstairs was clogged. When I got up to see what was going on the floors I stepped on were sopping wet! You guessed it, low and behold we were in another plumbing nightmare!! Who do you think I called? You guessed it, Ridge Plumbing, since they guarantee their work! This time, after Tony showed up, a guy named Shane, the service manager, showed up. Within 20 minutes of his arrival he diagnosed the problem! In the drain line Ridge Plumbing discovered a SIX (6) FOOT SPAN OF SOLID GREASE!! Now, you're thinking that's great, they found the real issue! Now things would be better, right......and since they warranty their work there would be no charge as they had "fixed the problem" now about 6 times, before and after the closing, charging us and the previous owners each time. (At this point we had owned this home less than a month.) Please don't assume that's the end of the story or that you know how it went... you don't. We were presented with another bill, this time it cost us $1800. Yes, that was the new bill we got from Ridge Plumbing. Not to mention the deductible we had to pay because the damage ended up costing about $70,000 to repair and we had to get our home owner's insurance involved. We lost everything that had just been bought to furnish the basement because the water went from the 3rd floor bathroom all the way to the basement. So walls were torn out on the main level and the floors on the main and terrace level were all torn out. It was a tragic loss all within less than a month of our purchase. I have never done business with such an untrustworthy company and I still cannot believe they charged us almost $2000 for something we had paid to have fixed twice and the previous owners had paid several times to fix as well. If you value service, trust, knowledge and dependability please don't call Ridge Plumbing!! I am now embarking on the tedious task of trying to recoup our losses and my first order of this business is to expose these people for who and what they are, untrustworthy, incompetent, shady and unapologetic for their failures (and what it cost us). Call anyone else in the business, but don't employ these crooks. Anything is better than what we encountered and I promise to do all that I possibly can to let John Q. Public know what they are in for should they decide to use this terrible company. By the way, I promised Ridge Plumbing that I'd do this too, and I am always good for my word. Stay away! Came out 12/16 to re-attach my kitchen sink. The guy they sent didn't do it right and the sink fell back out Christmas Eve. Called back the Monday after Christmas and they sent someone different out on Tuesday. After spending hours cleaning the caulk off the sink and installing brackets, he had to leave to take care of other customers and didn't have the adhesive. He was scheduled to return at 9am Wednesday. At 8:30am, their office called to say he wouldn't be booming back that they didn't know how to install kitchen sinks. When asked about a refund, the lady said she wasn't sure. We haven't had a kitchen sink. These people are liars and half-baked. I have THREE times had to call Ridge Plumbing and they are simply THE BEST!!!!! Two times it was because I had a flooded basement from a broken hose bib which froze. Each time, Ridge Plumbing had someone out here in just a a few hours. I was NOT charged extra for the emergency visit. The cost was completely reasonable and much cheaper than I have paid for the same service in Kennesaw. The third time they came out to install my dishwasher, that Home Depot did not want to install unless I could prove that I had copper pipes. I called on a Thursday to see if I could get a Friday appointment and they were able to do the job Thursday evening. I now have Ridge Plumbing on speed dial on my phone. I've only selected 1 star because Yelp requires you to select a star. This plumber performed my "rough in" on my new home and refused to finish the job. After hiring another plumber, I had to pay extra to fix the terrible work this company performed. The the hot and cold lines in the entire house were swapped and a drain not covered. The drywall had to be torn down to chase a toilet line that was hooked up with hot water. When testing the lines a different drain was not connected at all and spewed water everywhere. If your looking for quality plumbing, a company to stand by their work, and finish the job they start, I'm afraid you should look elsewhere. read more

He identified the problem with my leaking shower drain immediately and had it fixed in about 15 minutes. Cost $95. The day before Dependable Plumbing came. They were late. They didn't call. RUN, dont walk away from these people. I had a PVC pipe break under ground between my house and septic pipe. the 3 inch pipe was only about 3 feet under ground about 6 feet from my house. THIS SUMS UP THE RIP OFF,,,,THEY CHARGED ME $50 DOLLARS AN HOUR FOR ONE LABORER TO DIG FOR 19 HOURS WITH AN ORDINARY SHOVEL IN DIRT WITH A FEW SMALL ROCKS TO REACH THE PVC PIPE AND REPAIR IT NOT REPLACE IT. THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY WAS THEIR JUST LONG ENOUGH TO RUN A CAMERA UP THE HOLE AFTER REMOVING THE TOILET TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM, MAYBE 2 HOURs. Then they had the nerve to tell me they did not charge me enough. They did fix the problem but $50 an hour for a laborer to dig down to the pipe. My small neighborhood now knows who NOT to call on a plumbing problem. read more

Basic water heater installation was a bad experience, including burst water pipe (happened right after plumbers left the first time), resulting in soaked carpeting; plumbers returned to fix pipe, but then reversed the hot and cold pipe connections on water heater; then a "senior" technician came to assess the situation, left saying he wasn't sure the hot and cold connections were right!! WHAT!!! Guess he didn't care enough to make sure! I contacted the office with my concerns about the connections, was told that on a short "low boy" water heater like mine, the hot and cold connections could be reversed with no problem, it was a "non-issue"!! WHAT?? (During this experience, I am learning a lot about water heaters on the internet.) I did not insist that Ridge come back, but contacted a master plumber, who came out, immediately saw the hot/cold connections were wrong and corrected the problem. This cost me an additional $100. I got the feeling that Ridge just wanted to get me out of their hair, since they realized I would probably never call again. To Ridge's credit, they did contact a carpet cleaning company to clean the carpet. read more

I have used Ridge Plumbing before in an emergency and was wanting new toilets installed, so I was checking the internet for their number and saw this negative review. I must say that I was quite shocked and had to write one of my own. I never give 5 stars, especially not for anything that falls under a construction category because there are so many variables, but they deserve it. Calling a plumber is a very daunting task and during an emergency it is even worse. My husband was out of one morning when I heard a loud pop and then gushing sound in our basement. We did not have a connection with a plumber and had not been living in the house for very long. I called my husband to see what he wanted to do about the situation. I had shut things off, but the basement was already flooded with boiling water. My husband checked the internet called Ridge Plumbing and a couple of others. Ridge plumbing was the only one professional enough to have someone answer the phone when you call. They said they could come right out. I am always nervous when a stranger walks into my house, accesses the situation (in this case it was bad) and has the ability to charge me anything they want to fix something that is destroying my most costly investment by the minute. I have been taken advantage of in an emergency so many times before, so I just braced myself. Mike arrived very quickly, especially since we live on a mountain many miles from town. He was very professional, had everything he needed in the truck and was finished very quickly. I was shocked when I received the bill. Something he could have charged a over a thousand dollars for just because of the dire situation we were in was nominal. Not only does the company do good work, they are also fair and good people. This negative review sounds like it is coming from a typical hot head that wants everything for nothing. This is a small town where everyone talks. If this company truly had a reputation for sub-standard work and price gouging, they would have been out of business after only a few jobs. Keep up the good work! read more

Ridge Plumbing came highly recommended by a top realtor and a very successful business owner in Fannin County. I am so very glad I took their advice and called Ridge for the replacement of an old galvanized water pressure valve that finally gave up the ghost. From the initial phone call to the estimate process to the completion of the work, everyone at Ridge was professional, VERY courteous, super knowledgeable, efficient and VERY patient. Not only did Tony, the responding technician, answer all of my questions, but he was able to come out the very next day after I sat on the estimate over night to consider it. I certainly did not expect such prompt service...I was expecting that my delay in accepting the estimate would put the job at least a week out. Call it a fluke, good scheduling, commitment to service or whatever, but I was absolutely ecstatic that within three hours of my call for an appointment to complete the repair, I had water pressure restored by a quality job and Tony shaking my hand and thanking me for my business. After having MANY bad and frustrating experiences with several home repair companies in North Georgia, Ridge Plumbing proved to me that there are still professionals out there that stand by their word, stand behind their work and are not out to just take money and run. This is the company that my builder (John Soave, JFS, Inc.) contracted with to do the plumbing for my new house. It started out bad and got worse. Here a a few of the issues: 1. They failed to hook the drain pipes to my septic system. They just buried the pipe without making the connection. The company that installed my septic tank discovered this and fixed it for me. 2. They installed the radon pipe at the wrong depth so that it had to be removed and reinstalled before the cement contractor could pour the basement floor. Although this did not cause a permanent problem, it did cause a building delay. 3. A drain pipe that was supposed to come up through the basement floor into an interior wall was put in the wrong place. It came up through the floor about a foot from the wall. This required breaking a hole through the floor to move the drain and now I have a really ugly patch in my floor. They didn't even try to make this look good. 4. They neglected to install the shower fixtures in one of the bathrooms. By the time I finally got them to come back to install it, they said they no longer had the fixtures so they charged me to replace them. 5. They installed the sediment filter on the wrong location. Later they charged me to move it. 6. Outside hose bibs are practically useless because the water volume is too low. They provide only about 75% of the MINIMUM required by the plumbing code. When I asked them to fix it, Mike said "let me think about it". This is not exactly the response I was looking for. 7. When the first cold weather came, both of my hose bibs froze. Apparently Ridge Plumbing does not care about the section of the building code that says they must be protected from freezing. Most plumbers would have used frost-proof fittings. 8. My hose bibs do not have the anti-siphon devices that are required by the building code. My wife reminded me that this is not the first bad experience we have had with Ridge Plumbing. In our previous home I discovered water coming out of the ceiling in the basement below the dishwasher. I shut off the water to the dishwasher and called Ridge Plumbing. I gave them the make and model of the dishwasher and asked if they could fix it. They said they would send a man out. When the guy arrived he pulled out the dishwasher (without removing the screws that were holding it in place). Within a few minutes he located a drain hose that was split. He said that he could not fix it because he did not have the required part. He left without putting the dishwasher back but after charging me $84 for doing nothing but scratching my cabinets. I ordered a new hose from Amazon and fixed it myself. On the positive side, the workers were usually pleasant and nice to have around. read more

Fixed the faucet in a bathroom that didn't have a probem and that is working even better :) However, they did nothing to address the issues reported which was a lack of flow to the sink and shower in another bathroom. And they were so expensive: $198 to fix one faucet that wasn't broken. Ridiculous! I will look elsewhere. read more
