The best part is one of my boxes got forwarded to Dahlonega and the Hiawassee post office wrote postage due on the box, that Post Office told me this was incorrect and did not charge me. My second box was sent back Return to Sender (RTS) per my request, they additionally wrote postage due on a RTS box which is a joke, my local post office disregarded this and delivered directly to the return address.

The drop boxes in the lobby were clearly marked for metered mail, stamped, packages etc. The building was clean on the outside and there was no litter in the lobby. My postcards went to Vermont, Illinois, and Montana (so nowhere close). They each arrived in a decent amount of time. A little slow, but that's to be expected these days.

This is about the fifth time or more that I have tried to get a hold of somebody that I could actually talk to and see what the heck the issue is. My packages are being left out in the rain on a step going to my front porch which is covered. The step is not! I don't know what is going on or maybe you guys are being bombarded with having to deliver packages from other deliver company but I don't care! Stop being lazy and take a few steps and there's my front door! The driver sat in my driveway for about a good 3 minutes doing something but I have it on video and I just received a seven packages left on my steps. It's raining now and was in my packages got wet. I don't know what else to do. I believe my postal lady that normally delivers around my area isn't the one delivering at the moment because she has always put the packages where they belong but something has changed and something needs to be done because I'm fed up!

All I wanted to do was have a piece of mail delivered. That's it. I wasn't asking for something out of left field. I was just trying to get accomplished what the postal service has been doing reliably for about 250 years! However, in this case, I WAS asking too much. And when I tried to rectify the situation, all I got for my trouble, was the royal runaround! In this case, it might be better if I just jumped in my car, drive the 8 hours it will take me to get there, and just hand deliver it to the person. COME ON USPS DO BETTER!

The hours of operation are the best of all of the post offices around town, however it the branch itself is very busy and can take extra time if you're in a hurry. There are several mailboxes outside where you can pull up and just leave your mail. They also have handicap parking out front with a fairly large parking lot. This is a full-service post office that has post office boxes, stamps, supplies, , and usually a staff of 3 to 4 attendants.

I had the opportunity to actually observe them processing and delivering. The general public has no idea what those folks deal with every single day in order to provide excellent service to everyone. In sweltering heat, freezing cold and torrential downpours they still come through. They all do their best to see that every customer gets the mail and packages to the addresses where they are supposed to go. With the high volume of pieces they process and deliver a few late deliveries would be the norm for any business. Try a little kindness folks... Try walking in their shoes a time or two. They make every effort to get everyone their mail and packages in a timely manner.
