The drop boxes in the lobby were clearly marked for metered mail, stamped, packages etc. The building was clean on the outside and there was no litter in the lobby. My postcards went to Vermont, Illinois, and Montana (so nowhere close). They each arrived in a decent amount of time. A little slow, but that's to be expected these days.

Stop being lazy and take a few steps and there's my front door! The best part is one of my boxes got forwarded to Dahlonega and the Hiawassee post office wrote postage due on the box, that Post Office told me this was incorrect and did not charge me. My second box was sent back Return to Sender (RTS) per my request, they additionally wrote postage due on a RTS box which is a joke, my local post office disregarded this and delivered directly to the return address.

In fact last time, I was there very recently, someone named Jasmine, apparently saw me bumbling around with one of those self print stickers and my package and personally adhered it, and made sure that my package was taped sufficiently and mailed it! I mean, this is the kind of thing people are looking for in any employee: anticipating issues and handling them. And this is exactly the kind of service I can expect at this post office. Now do I wish that they still had dropbox outside so I didn't have to go in? Yes. But that is not a branch decision or certainly not by the branch employees.

Although it was inconvenient and frustrating for them to lose my package, I appreciate how seriously they took resolving it. I do enjoy going inside. The hours of operation are the best of all of the post offices around town, however it the branch itself is very busy and can take extra time if you're in a hurry. There are several mailboxes outside where you can pull up and just leave your mail. They also have handicap parking out front with a fairly large parking lot. This is a full-service post office that has post office boxes, stamps, supplies, , and usually a staff of 3 to 4 attendants.
