Then one evening I was on Instagram and I was browsing the hashtag #sacramentoweddingphotographer and I came across a beautiful wedding photo and fell in love with Katelyn's work. I saw that she was based in Chico, but decided to reach out to her anyways. Katelyn set up a "Coffee Skype Date" with me since we were over 2 hours apart. I was really nervous to skype with a complete stranger, since I hardly even video chat with people I know! As soon as our session began, Katelyn made me feel completely comfortable, and it was like I was chatting with a friend I had known forever! She is a complete sweetheart, and I knew I had finally found "the one," to capture one of the most important days of our life! We met with Katelyn in Chico for our engagement shoot in the fall of 2016. I was nervous because my husband HATES taking photos, and I knew he would be awkward and uncomfortable. Katelyn gave us plenty of direction, and our pictures were stunning! It was impossible to decide which ones to use on our Save the Dates. To top things off, she loads everything to an online pass gallery, which makes it super easy to save, share, and order prints! Katelyn was extremely responsive every step of the way, and made everything so easy. A couple of weeks before our wedding, she came all the way to Sacramento to meet me at our venue to get a lay of the land, and to sit down for our planning session. She asked me a ton of questions to make sure we captured every moment I wanted her to. On our wedding day, Katelyn and her assistant Krista (who is also an absolute doll!) arrived right on time. She first came to the on-site bungalow to capture all of our detail shots and photos of the girls and I getting ready. We did a "First Look," and Katelyn and Krista executed our moment perfectly! She made sure we captured all of our formal photos from beginning to end and her and Krista seemed like they were everywhere at the reception, not missing a single moment! She stayed all the way until are send off and we know the photos are going to be amazing! I don't even need to wait for our photos, to write this review, because that's how WONDERFUL Katelyn really is. You will not be disappointed! Katelyn was not only our photographer, but has also become someone who I consider a friend and hope to keep in touch! Best photos you'll ever see…read more We needed to find a great photographer for our San Francisco city hall elopement to share with family and friends. After an initial email, She was kind enough to Skype with me. She was very sweet, informative and positive. She provided a link to a previous city hall shoot, and all the photos were magnificent! Her style showed intimate and warm moments. As December in SF tends to be overcast/rainy, I was concerned with our photos looking dark and dreary. I looked through more of her galleries from her website and saw that a different rainy photo shoots still were glowing radiantly. We had another skype meeting and went over details of the day, what shots I wanted (locations/ group etc). She stated I'd get the link of the shoot with access for ten years! Amazing! The day of the shoot, she was a like a fly on the way, catching candid moments. After the ceremony, she went they out discussed list and offered various directions for posed shots. A few weeks after our wedding, we got the link for the photos. She didnot disappoint! Literally brought tears to my eyes of the quality of photos, amount, bright and clear shots. The team was professional, friendly, and detail oriented. The ambience was exactly what it should be for a large vintage barn style wedding, with just the right accents and lighting to create a simple elegance in harmony with the surroundings. Dawn - the rental manager - proved to be too unpredictable to work with.  She promised us the moon until the day we paid in full. Up until then, she offered to let us use the back room of the barn for our caterers to prep the food; she said we could move the string lights on the ceiling because we thought they were draped too low; she told us she was going to buy folding tables and chairs, then it was a big chandelier, and then it was a front lawn (none of these plans ever came to fruition by the wedding); she said we could borrow wooden chairs and tables and wagons and even furniture from her own house! When we paid the entire rental fee one month before, she immediately started making new demands: we needed to pay a non-refundable security deposit of $250, we couldn't use the back room unless we paid $200 extra, we couldn't adjust the string lights on the ceiling unless we hired her friend to do the job and it would cost a few hundred dollars. It became very clear that she is the kind of person you want to avoid doing business with, so we cancelled. We did not get our money back. On another note, I find it very odd that she has photos posted from a wedding in August, and the family CLEARLY does not want them posted - they have even threatened with an attorney if she doesn't take them down. From what I've heard from other people who have worked with her, this is typical behavior. If you are going to rent the barn, please be very cautious.

Wonderful small town florist…read more I had to be out of town for my daughter's 5th birthday. I told country flowers her favorite colors and a little about her and asked them to keep it around $40. She loved the surprise and I was shocked that when I returned 5 days later it still looked better than some arrangements from the mail order florist. I will definitely be using them again.
