It's run down but I can look past that. It's the poor customer service. I asked for wait time they said 5 minutes. They call me back, run warm water , but it never got hot ( she didn't know how to use the faucet). After back and forth ( from warm to scalding), someone helps to adjust the water temp. Now I'm waiting almost 20 minutes and nobody has come to service me ( they keep adding hot water because it gets cold due to the delay). Finally I said no thanks just my nails . I move to the front and male tech says very loudly " you want your nails done or not". The customers in the sitting area looked at me stunned . I said" Is he talking to me". My daughter heard him and then he said first you complain about the water. I can see why the rating is so low. I took myself to Capital nails. Was serviced when seated in the chair and enjoyed the experience to the point I added on another service. Today was the reminder why I haven't been to the Blue Skye in years. Never again. read more

I visited this salon on a Friday evening due to a nail emergency. I was treated poorly and felt as if my daughter and I were not welcomed. I was not greeted/acknowledged upon entering the facility, the nail tech did a very sloppy job on my fill in, and the whole experience felt rushed. I have no intentions on returning (not even for an emergency), and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

So rude. Lady doing my nails kept digging her pointed fingernail deep in between my nail and my finger. I kept asking her to stop and she'd give me an attitude and continued to do it the ENTIRE time. While I was there not one, but TWO customers came in and basically got into yelling matches and left due to the complete lack manners. Seriously not worth it. The chick literally had head phones in and was almost yelling the entire time while doing my manicure. They added $10 for callus removal that I never asked for or agreed to, I even specified the price before I began. But still demanded the extra $10 at the end. I refused to pay it and they ended up tipping the $10 on my card which I put $0 for tip. I called bank and took a picture of receipt and they filed a fraudulent charge for it. Horrible customer service - I have an interview tomorrow so I went here to get a polish change and when I sat down she asked me if I want a fill in. I already had a new set last week so I said no and told her why. I have solar nails and I explained that to them, instead of letting me know I had to put the new color on top she started filing my color off. She was scraping so hard I asked her to stop. She got someone else who wasn't nice at all. She said since I didn't want a new set that I had to put a color on top of what I have. I had bright pink and I explained I wanted a light color since I have an interview. She said there isn't anything she could do to help me and I asked her how are we going to fix the nails that they already started scraping the color off, which were two nails. She said there's nothing she could do and I said no one explain this to me prior to removing some of my color. She said it was a miscommunication but I explained that I spoke very clearly. She got up and said there's nothing she can do besides put a darker color or a new set. I explained that if they told me this sooner, I could have went to Luxury Nail which is further but they have 60 choices of color rather than where I was. She started getting mad and started getting loud. I explained that she didn't need to raise her voice at me. She just left me there and started giving someone a pedicure. I sat there for ten minutes and she never came back. I asked for the management and she said they weren't there. I just got up and went to another nail salon. I went there 5/4/19 for the first and last time. I walked in asking for a manicure and pedicure. 15 minutes later a lady started my pedicure. Several works were walking around, sitting at the finger nail stations, or sitting in the back of the store. I get my nails done once a month and this lady skipped several steps when doing my pedicure. An hour later after she was almost done doing my pedicure I asked when was someone going to get started on my manicure. About 15 minutes later another lady started on my manicure. The store was very messy/dirty. I witnessed them being racist with an African American lady. Skipping her and making her wait longer. After everything was done I showed the lady how bad my pedicure looked and she didn't care. She just said ohhhh. Several people were complaining about wait times some with appointments and works standing around even outside the front door. I would NOT recommend going here. Save your money. read more

They Suck!! I just moved to the area and was looking for a nice nail shop. It was my first time and I will never go to this place again. It was my teenage daughters bday and a treat for her. She left in tears. Cried all the way home. First i was left with my feet in water at the chair for 1 hour before anybody gave me a pedicure. My feet were pruned. The lady lied to me and told me I could not have chrome on my pedicure. Then when i sat down to get my manicure from the guy Tony he told me that I could and she didn't know what she was talking about. He finished my manicure and then I told him I was ready to get my pedicure chrome. Because it was crowded in the store he didn't want to work on me anymore. So he lied and said you don't have gel polish on your feet. I said I do because the lady brought the polish to him and it was sitting on his desk while he was lying to my face. Then he said too much money. That's my call to make not yours. Then he said next time. At that moment i decided to leave there and go to another nail shop that put chrome on my gel toenails. My daughter: she asked for rounded nails they gave her square. All the nails were a different size and didn't match the other hand. She also asked for chrome over her white polish and he put the wrong kind and covered all the white. It was silver. The guy kept coming over asking Tony questions about chrome polish. Clearly he didn't know what he was doing. The worst experience I've had in a nail shop my entire life. I will never go there again. *They did not clean around the edge of both our nails. My visit here was horrible! First off I came in to fix a nail that had broken. I was the only one in the salon. The lady doing my nails was annoyed that it wasn't a full set and I could see it on her face. She was very rough and made me bleed but cutting my cuticles too much! Then they started to speak in their language and all the ladies in the salon kept coming over and looking at me and talking in another language. I felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable! And to top it off, as if this visit wasn't horrid enough, she made my nail crooked! I kept asking her to fix it. She would file it on one side and left the other side! It was still crooked, I notified her and she THREW the file at me and told me to fix it the way I like it! Are you kidding me! This visit was by far the worst visit! DECEITFUL ON PRICES. I went to get my nails done yesterday and did gel nails, which color gel was listed as $20. When going to pay the lady said '$28' and I asked her why, she said 'gel nails and manicure'. Ummm manicure? She cleaned up the skin around my nails and gave me an 'arm massage', but I've never been ANYWHERE where they charge extra for that. That was it. There was no salts used, no buffers, no hand warmers, no nothing. Also, in the hour and a half I was there I was the THIRD person to get angry about being tricked about the prices. Who knows how many people they are doing this to? Absolutely terrible business. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I first walked in with SNS nails I wanted them removed and I told the MANAGER that I wanted GEL NAILS instead. He asked if I wanted manicure I said no and I asked how much to remove and get gel nails he said 25$ I looked at the sign it obviously said 30 for gel nails and so when I said $30 he said no $25 whatever he was then proceeding to do the gel polish & I told him no gel nails. ALL OF A SUDDEN he got RUDE and did my nails HORRIBLE he didn't smooth them out and left them thick and lumpy I proceeded to stay quiet at the end when he so called finished he put oil on my nails and said "is this what you wanted." I got pissed washed my hands and asked one of the co workers if the man doing my nails was the mAnager she said yes I told her the story and he came back sat down and said what's wrong he tried arguing with me and I told him he just did a bad job and he said I'll fix it I told him no thank you and he said no it takes only 5 minutes I told him no thanks I have to go to work and I paid 40$ for this crap I left and went to nail bar by bojangles. This is for my visit yesterday 9/29/14. I had been to this location before and received a wonderful pedicure, which is the reason I am giving this review 2 stars. My visit yesterday warrants zero stars. I called before my arrival and inquired to the price of a gel manicure. I was told it was 20 dollars, and given that this was an amazing price, I told them I would be there at 10:15 for a gel manicure and pedicure. Upon my arrival I was told that the gel manicure is actually 28 dollars, gel color alone is 20. This should have been when I left, however I agreed to the new price and sat in the pedicure chair to begin. I sat there for 15 minutes alone after the water was drawn for my feet and the gel removal strips on my fingers. At this point the water was cold and some lady swung by trying to physically shove my feet into the water. I told her it was cold, and instead of fixing it she walked away. At this point the gentleman (the owner I believe) came back and asked why I didn't tell him. I told him he had left me unattended. Long story short, my experience was atrocious. The woman who did my feet laughed at them (yes, they are very callus-y, but I work on my feet), the gentleman doing my nails cut me multiple times, and the pedicure chair I was sitting in was broken. I did not tip for my services, and as I work at a bar I know the magnitude of this. I hope they received the message loud and clear. I will not be returning. read more

I live close by and have been coming to this salon for years, maybe as many as 20+ times. The only reason I'm just now writing a review is I came across the bad reviews while checking their hours. Anytime somebody has a bad experience they shout it out but you rarely hear the good one. My last visit there was about 2 months ago, I had the hot stone pedicure... OH MAN. It wasn't so much the hot stone that did the trick, but I felt like the pedicure lasted almost an hour, massaging my feet and legs a majority of that time. While maybe not every visit there has been a 5 (somebody is allowed to have a bad day) this is still my go to place. read more

I am visiting from out of town and needed my eyebrows waxed. I noticed Blue Sky Nails in the shopping center as I was going to grab some groceries at Kroger. I was hesitant to have my eyebrows done at a nail salon, but I thought if I explained to them what I wanted, it would be okay. At first, they were friendly and took me right back to the waxing room. I specifically explained that I DO NOT like thin eyebrows and NOT to touch the overall thickness of them. She said she understood and would just trim them up. She did the exact opposite of what I asked for and made them EXTREMELY thin. They look like they are penciled on my face. I wanted to cry. After I told her what I thought of them, she argued with me and said, "They look good!" She got her manager and they proceeded to speak another language. Not only did she ruin my eyebrows, but an apology was never given and I still had to pay. I'm sure they're great with nails, but I would NOT recommend having your eyebrows waxed at Blue Sky Nails. read more
