I am a property manager (25 years in). I have worked with many contractors over the years. However…read morethis was a big deal for me, because this was my own home. (Not that i didnt care about the other it just became much more personal to me). I can honestly say that Julio's painting company has been one of the best I have ever encountered. It is my practice to gather estimates from several company's , Julio was one of the 7 that showed up and wrote up a proposal. He was the 3rd lowest in the group, but what put him to the top, is that i needed someone to hang a chandelier in the foyer and he wrote it into his proposal, while others wanted to charge separately with additional fees. I always find it Leary, when contractors try to make allowances to charge you more with their "IF something happens" or "IF more time or material is needed". You know what i mean. I just want one straight up number (amount) and we are good to go!! He also took his time and made lots of notes when he did a walk through. You could see that he truly knew his "Work"! We hired him and he and his crew showed up a week later right on time! They were there for Aprox 3 days repairing and fixing the drywalls sanding it down and then painting (walls, ceiling, trims and doors). They then took a day break, because we had our household goods delivered. (Yes, they were very flexible and willing to working with us). They restarted the next day and by day 5 they were all done. During the job, my husband and i set up camp in our basement, so we wouldn't be in there way, however whatever encounters we had, he and his crew were very respectful, accommodating and mindful of there presence there. They cleaned up at the end of each day. On the day before completion, he had us walk the house and gave us painters tape to mark any areas of concern. They showed up the next day and addressed every nicks and scrapes that we tagged. On completion, we were extremely happy and satisfied with the job they had done. So Pleased that we contracted him to do the Exterior of the home. They power washed the walls, gutters, siding and even my windows. they then painted all the trim and areas that they had power washed. They did such an AMAZING job that two of our neighbors have already requested a referral. I cant say enough about this company and Julio. We are extremely greatful that we contracted the RIGHT people for the job and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I went with Alberto based on their fast response, reasonable price estimate, and the sense of trust when I met Alberto. Our house was built in 2011and is in excellent condition, so I wanted a very careful and high quality job. I left a phone message at 7:30 am, asking for a callback to arrange an estimate. I was impressed to get a response within 30 minutes, and he came to my home the next day to provide a written estimate. He was very experienced and observant, and caught details that I had missed. I was also really pleased that he would clean our white metal gutters so they would look good next to the new white paint he was applying. Many other people have told me that cleaning gutter stains is difficult, so I was intrigued that he volunteered to do this, and would not charge extra for it. I received two other comparable bids, though no one else offered to clean the gutters. I felt comfortable with Alberto and one other company, but he was most responsive and willing to come down 7% (maybe more if I really pushed but didn't). I put down a 30% deposit and he started two days later. I was impressed that he came with three vehicles, all emblazoned with his company name on the side, and a crew of 5-6. They always arrived 20-30 minutes early, but were respectful enough to wait outside our house and did not ring the doorbell until the agreed-upon start time. Alberto came himself, introduced his team, including two people for me to interact with throughout the 3-day job (one being his son), as he did not stay. Those two people spoke excellent English, though communicating with his entire team was no issue. Seems like the entire crew works a solid day from 8 am - 4 pm, though I did not stay the entire time to observe. They did excellent work, cleaned-up each day, and never left any trash behind. They use Sherwin-Williams paint, so did not cut corners with a no-name brand. They only painted the white trim and their edge work was crisp with straight lines and no sloppiness beyond the trim. They patched nail holes in our trim so it looks smooth and pristine now - even better than the original condition when the house was built. They also lived-up to their commitment to clean the exterior of the gutters. Most are sparkling white now. While most responded well to their cleaning, a few spots still have some faint stains in some places, but even those are much better than before and difficult to notice from the street unless you are looking for it. We also have quite a bit of landscaping on three sides of our house. I was concerned they might damage some, but there was no sign they were even there. We also had some minor interior work too. Some decorative molding needed re-caulking, and a couple places needed touch-up to cover some scuffs. They matched the color and texture perfectly and again were very clean and neat. They finished a little over a week ago. Everything still looks good as one would expect. Our builder happened to stop-by two days ago and he commented on how well the job appeared. I don't know how things will fare long term, but based on my experience, I will certainly use him the next time I need work done.

Wockenfuss painted my house twice. The first time he did a good job the second time I had a small…read moreissue which he would not fix for me. There was a rotten strip of wood that was not repaired during the painting process. About a week after he left I found a small rotten piece of wood over the garage door. You could put your finger through it. He told me to use wood filler and then paint it. You can fill small holes not an 18 inch strip. He told me to come back it would be $550 to do the work and I had the wood. So instead of paying that ridiculous price I called my handyman and had him do the work and buy the materials. It was $216 total. Then I filed a claim with the County Board Department of Labor for the $216. Mr. Wockenfuss did not want to pay and wrote a letter stating why and never honored the warranty or his work. I consider him a poor businessman. Yes he gives a decent price but he is not a decent person. So buyer beware. If everything goes well and he can leave rotten wood where you can't see it, you will be happy with his work. Beware if you want an honorable contractor. This happened in 2022. I was going through some old papers and decided to submit this before I throw the papers away.

So we gave them a call when we needed some interior painting done. Dave was prompt and thoughtful as he inspected our project area and he was very honest in his analysis. His pricing was fair and transparent. We ended up waiting to do the interior work during colder months when he offers discounts for interior painting. He gave us a great price and scheduled the work right away. His team did an amazing job and was very respectful, cleaning up at the end of each day. They also resolved a minor misunderstanding about paint colors with excellent customer service. We also had Wokenfus replace French doors which we had purchased most of the supplies ahead of time. They did an amazing job around the botched work of a previous contractor and made the doors look beautiful! He also provided quotes for some other interior carpentry. Unfortunately we are holding on some of that work to focus on recent water damage elsewhere. Dave seems to understand that establishing a long term trusted relationship with his clients is an important part of running his business. I hope to be able to provide an update after our exterior painting is completed.
