Some may say I'm extremely picky - but, I like to think of it as being careful. Too often, contractors over-promise and under-deliver. This was not the case with All American Painting Plus. This was a first-class experience all the way. The entire process, from estimate to final product, was executed perfectly. To start, I dealt with Rob, who came out to take a look at our situation and give us a quote. We had a lot of exterior wood-rot on our front door and a bad leak on a large palladium window above our front door. Needless to say, Rob was extremely patient with my questions, knowledgeable about his craft, super professional, and absolutely thorough. I asked a ton of questions and he answered them one-by-one, speaking in terms I could easily understand. I was immediately at ease that my problems could be fixed. The next morning, as promised, Rob sent an email with perhaps the most detailed estimate I'd ever seen. From that alone I could tell that I was dealing with a well-run organization. Consequently, the price quoted was competitive and honest, so we agreed to it. The crew showed up exactly when promised, they got right to work, and made sure to keep me informed of every single detail of the job. What impressed me the most is that each member of the crew had a copy of the estimate in hand, carefully completing each line-item, and advising me every step of the way, offering me the opportunity to understand the nature and quality of the work as it was being done. After the work was complete, I even got a quality-control call from Rob and to ensure I was satisfied. My job was a small-one all the way around, but I still felt like I was their most important customer....No need to ever look elsewhere - we'll be using them again and again. read more

AAPP power washed our deck and siding, painted the siding, replaced quite a bit of trim work, and stained the deck and screened-in porch. In other words, Brian and his crew did a lot of work on our home. It looks great. The work they did took 20 years off the age of the house. It was well worth the price. What I really admired about AAPP was the quality of workmanship and the attitude of the men doing the work. They always showed up on schedule, put in 8 hours of work, and cleaned up when finished for the day. As I recall, they were working on our house for about 7 business days. They did not stop working until the job was finished. The crew pointed out problem areas that were not included in the original price--things like wood rot on the inside of trim work. They always gave me the option of getting it fixed or leaving it as is. This added to the cost of the job, but now I know that the job was done right. Brian, the owner of AAPP, communicated with me regularly, and e-mailed me invoices and acknowledged payments. He even told me that I over paid him by $200! Simply put, All American Painting Plus is awesome. They were extremely professional, courteous, and flexible from the first phone call, all the way through the entire project. Rex was the estimator and was patient, open minded, and knowledgeable. The scope of my project changed multiple times and he went out of his way to research what I wanted and met with me several times, at my convenience, numerous times before the work started. Anival was the painter, and as I told Morgan, the office manager (who was also great), he's the best painter I've had. He was more detail oriented than I am, which is hard to to believe, and was more than flexible working around the other workers who were there at the same time he was. He really did a phenomenal job. I will definitely use them again for my painting needs, and will probably call them to see if they have any references for anything else I need to have done, as the tile guy they recommended was also great. I had a great experience with All American Painting Plus. This was my first customer experience with them and I will definitely use them again. Rex, the estimator reviewed the work I needed done, basically, spray wash, replace rotten wood, replace the soffit and fascia and paint. He answered all of my questions and helped me select the right materials for the job. The price was reasonable and similar to other estimates I had received. Morgan and his crew were excellent. They arrived on time and were prepared with all the supplies needed for the job. Morgan kept me informed of any additional findings, once the old material was removed. All American Painting Plus did two jobs at my residence. Both jobs were completed as scheduled and the workmanship was very good. There is quality and value for the work that this company provides. Brian and staff did not want final payment until I was completely satisfied and happy. I do not try for the absolute lowest price on any work I have done. My goal is quality workmanship and good value. I am willing to pay for quality work that will last for many years after the job is completed. I would not hesitate to call Brian any time for any job in the future. I have two bright pink rooms from a previous owner, and maybe Brian might need to change the color if one of my friends does not like bright pink. Brian's strength is that he does the job when he tells you and does not delay the work. This is important as I have had violation notices at my neighborhood that required Brian's services. All American Painters were a joy to work with, from beginning to end. We got estimates from three different contractors, but AAP were the only ones to give us an estimate that included every detail, so we knew that there would be no surprises. They were also the only company to be willing to do the job in three phases, and wrote separate estimates for each phase. The painters that came took the time necessary to adequately prep, so the finished job was perfect. They were also very skilled carpenters, and did a beautiful job putting up crown molding and chair rail, framing out a closet, and removing balusters. They were friendly, courteous, skilled, and knowledgeable. When we first booked AAP and sent the deposit, they accidentally charged our account twice. I had the good luck of choosing All American to paint the exterior of our house and install new decorative shutters on all the front windows. They also power washed the entire house beforehand. They did a marvelous job with every stage. The power wash was extremely thorough, and the white siding on the sides and back of the house never looked better. They (actually, a man named Anival, one of the hardest working people I have ever seen) spent the time needed to prepare the exterior for the new coats of paint, which had not seen a new coat of paint in about 25 years. The coverage was perfect, and still is today nearly a year later. They also did a terrific job hanging the new shutters, following the manufacturers specifications. What an outstanding company - professional and personable. We had a last minute HOA painting issue that came about less than two weeks prior to closing. We needed a painter that could exactly match an existing exterior color and it needed to be done asap. Perhaps because they have an office in Reston and knowledgeable about particular HOA's, or they are simply good people (I think both!) they were empathetic to my circumstance and scheduled the work to be done within days of my call. Byron and his colleague prepared the walls, ceilings and woodwork very conscientiously before beginning their painting, worked swiftly but very carefully and skillfully, and left our house looking so much better than it did at the beginning of the job. I've used All American Painting Plus on several occasions, including a room with a very high gabled ceiling. This time was my kitchen, which included another gabled ceiling and cabinetry that had been done in oil-based paint (so it needed extra sanding, etc.).
