Dave is a top-notch instructor. He explains everything to you and will not let you go up until he feels you're ready. He is the second trainer I had and the best in the industry in my opinion very knowledgeable on how all the motors work and he is a one stop shop if you need parts for your paraglider, Dave is the guy he also repairs your wings in case you break a line or have a tear I can't say enough good about him. What I great experience! The instructor/ pilot (?) really made me feel safe. He described all he was doing along the way so as to ease nerves and offered his background (over 10 years' experience in paragliding, also used to pilot planes). However, after mentioning that I've skydived and bungee jumped before, he made things a bit more exciting with some quick turns :) Any who... this guy is super personable and knows what he is doing. I would say I am fairly scared of heights. When I tried ziplining, I literally made them push me off the platform. And I cried for most of the way down. As my friend and I approached the field for this adventure, I saw another paraglider take off. I turned to her and told her there was almost no way I was getting into that thing. She flew first to show me how safe it was. Dave also assured me I would be fine. I am so glad I didn't let my fear keep me from flying. I got to see the most beautiful sunset and had a really fun tour guided by Dave. I have now traveled the two hours to fly with Blue Sky twice and it is completely worth the trip. I can't wait to do it again! read more

Dave was awesome! He was charismatic, informative, friendly, and easy on the eyes ;) There was never a dull moment while soaring through the sky with him. He definitely reminded me of the tour guides in Jamaica who were passionate about their work and excited to introduce you to what they loved! The experience didn't give me the adrenaline that I was hoping for, like skydiving, and once I told him that he did a few dips and moves that accelerated my heart rate a bit :) It was a gorgeous birds eye view of the town and for about 20 mins I felt like I had wings! I would recommend paragliding to all my friends who dare to be adventurous, and encourage the not so brave to give it a shot. Although I have never met Dave, I was compelled to write my first ever Yelp review because of the incredible customer support I received from him. I needed some starter parts, and for the measly amount of money involved, I was shocked at his support level. He shipped me a second part (we assumed the first was wrong or defective) w/o even asking me to pay. Although we still ended up having a problem with the starter, it was his thoroughness that let us to conclude the issue was a different issue with the starter. He offered to do the work, and was going to ship me another complete starter as something to use in the meantime. I told him it wasn't necessary, but the offer to get me back in the air a week earlier was epic - who provides that level of service anymore.
