I enjoy the gear and everything they have but the two stars is for the suit slime. It had spilt in the bed of my truck, didnt discover it spilt until the next day and it had actually ate through the bed liner of my truck bed and bubbled where it spilt. Edit: Im aware that suit slime is not meant for my truck bed, I am not conditioning the bed of my truck, it is where my gear is stored to and from the ocean. The concern is something i put on my skin is eating through a truck bed liner. read more

Looking for a snorkel mask for future trip. If you are into diving/spearfishing, etc. they seem to have good inventory. They had several types of masks with a range of prices but I could not find a good fit for my face, not their fault. One mask approached what I need but I also would need to order prescription for it so fit had to be perfect for that investment. Very helpful staff. read more

The people here are knowledgeable and friendly. I live in Goleta and have been driving down here the last few years for all of my Freediving/Spearfishing products. This is a great store!!! Customer service is beyond excellent. The owner Matt and Mason love spearfishing and can answer any question that you may have. I have bought stuff here and they have fixed stuff for me too. Highly recommend if you are a beginner looking for info or a seasoned diver looking to talk story and buy some new tech stuff. Prices seem to fair. They sell a range of gear from entry level (cheaper) to full custom as well as all the parts and stuff that you need to build or repair stuff on your own. I've seen this on two different boards. "Yesterday I was running a spearfishing charter out of SD. It was the usual great day in August out there. Until somewhere between the 182, 43/Corner we came up on a nice looking paddy. wide open, no boats around, except for 1 that was in visual range, but not even sort of close to this paddy. As my shooters are getting ready to jump in, all of a sudden this boat full of Kooks speeds up as if they're racing us to the paddy! Keep in mind, at this point I am NOT underway, but literally sitting about 20-30 yards off the paddy with divers putting on their gear and about to jump in. I proceed to watch these idiots pull right up to the paddy, race to gear up and jump in the water, sprinting to it before our guys had a chance. I tried hailing these kooks on the radio & had some choice words to shout over at them, but no surprise it went un-answered until their 2 goons spent all of about 30 seconds sprinting to the paddy and then getting back in the boat and speed off. So here it is... You kooks are being called out! The boat's name is Three Don's. There was a large Blue Tuna Spearfishing sticker on the side... and here's a pic of the boat as they speed away. You goons give anyone who spends time on the ocean a bad name. May the fish gods frown upon you. Learn some manners. Having this happen from a boat of Spearo's made it extra-disappointing." the worst ever experience with a spearfishing busines, I orded a roller converting kit from them, it consisted of 8 items and to my surprise from those 8 items just got 1, I mean... missing 1 out of 8 I can understand but no missing 7 out of 8..!!! I'm a very patient person so emails went back an forth for two weeks....!!! Just to solve a single problem and this because they said they didn't have the version of what I had order but now they have a new version and sent me a picture of it and I said it looks very similar, send me those and guess what...!!!!! they did it again..!!!! 2 ítems missing..!!!! Well if you want to be positive you can say at least this time it's missing just two items and not almost the whole kit..!!! so that is an improvement So finally they ruined my intention to go on my next fishing trip with a inverted roller speargun, I placed the order a month and a half before my trip and this where I'm now Unbelievable..!!!!!! read more

Anyone can open a shop, whether it be surfing, diving, spearfishing. What makes a shop really stand out is the owner and the attitude of the shop. I've been into so many surf and dive shops where if you're you're not a local, or you're new to the sport, or you didn't just walk right out of a Billabong ad, you really don't get a lot of attention unless you ask for it. This shop is run by a guy named Matt, who is probably the nicest person I have ever met. He will do whats right, not whats right for his pocket. If you're a brand-new-interested-but-total-newbie like me, or you're an experienced spearfisherman like my husband and many of his clients worldwide, he treats you like a friend, with respect, values, and honesty. On top of that, he has great inventory, can set you up completely and give you great opinions on everything you want to know about spearfishing. He also has the most STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL guns I've ever seen that make you want to hang it above your couch in your living room, and sells all this quality at a great price. This guy epitomizes what the heart of Ventura stands for - down home, honest, and friendly, and is just doing things right. I wholeheartedly recommend him for any of your spearfishing needs.
