I personally dealt with this so called institute and was less that satisfied. All they wanted was…read moremoney after money and test after test that had already been done by my optometrist. I finally walked out. Last fall a friend went to see Patodia. He was told that he needed a series of injections in his eyes. They let him walk out after the injections the first time and he was pretty well blind for a few hours. He couldn't see and walked out into traffic on London road and almost got smoked by a car. He has someone call me and I went and picked him up. I took him to a specialist in London and the specialist was pretty ticked. Only one injection was required. That specialist said that whoever the specialist in Sarnia was was apparently only in it for the money. He couldn't believe that a doctor would do that to anyone. The specialist in London looked after my friends problem in one office visit and 2 follow ups. I wouldn't trust Patodia or his staff at Patodia's clinic under any circumstances. If you need a specialist that won't jerk you around your best bet is Dr Ibrahim. He's the real specialist in Sarnia. He's not a con man like Patodia and his staff.

I was referred to come here for a problem with my eye and found my experience to be very very good…read more The waiting and reception areas were both clean and modern looking with friendly staff to greet you. The wait to see the doctor was short, with the exam rooms comfortable while you wait. During my last visit I noticed they are updating the exam rooms with brand new equipment, gone all the old bulky machines of the past. If you have a child afraid of the old style machines, the new equipment might less intimidating for children. The doctors are well versed in what they do and will take the time to explain how to resolve any conditions you might have. My condition required some surgery which was done at an out of the area hospital which didn't bother me but might be an issue for others.

When a patient has an eye lasered at one facility and it makes their vision worse, as a daughter I wanted a second opinion before they did her other eye. It appears as though the staff at Port Huron Opthalmology does not wish to do so. Jean was very frank about not wanting to see my mother at their office.

In 2021 I made an Appointment with this Office. Dr…read more Bociurko was in the middle of selling his practice at the time. He already had a "new" Optometrist's (Dr. Alicia Kominek) in the building, and some of the original staff as well as new staff. After my appointment, I was given a Prescription for new updated Lenses. The Appointment cost $180. I then drove to London to view the various Frames at the "large wholesale" stores.... for which there are none in Sarnia. At one store, after I found what I liked, and was ready to order...Buy 1 get One 1/2 Off...I found out that the Prescription that I was given from the Sarnia Office was an "old one"....a few years prior. Optometry Stores need the Original, not Faxes or Emails, so I was forced to drive back to Sarnia and get the current one I just was tested for. I simply asked for $40 in Fuel compensation, as the error was a huge one when dealing with a Prescription. I am sure a Physican wouldn't in good practice give out an old Prescription from a few years ago... Two years later, (September 2023), it was time to make another Appointment for a Check-up. Same Optometrist, same Staff, but they are refusing to compensate me the $40, as now officially the Practice has been Sold to a "new owner". Not even an Apology! I have CANCELLED My Appointment, and have gone else ware, looking for more PROFESSIONALISM. Thank You

For being a doctor dealing with such depressing diseases, he's kept his exuberance and joy. Great bedside manner, a real people's person. I've never had a doctor i would bother to write a review about until this guy. I heard good things from another patient of his so it's not just me. He is now located in McLaren hospitals office building next door. He also works in the hospital and possibly at other hospitals.
