I hadn't had my vision prescription renewed in a year or so, and wanted an updated prescription, so my visit was very basic. However, I felt that given that an established relationship with an ophthalmologist would be beneficial for the future as well as get my prescription updated, I was referred to Dr. Johnson by my in-laws, and was happy with the decision. Even though I got my pupils dilated, the whole procedure with vision went very smoothly. I was in and out of there within 1 hour, with my new updated prescription in tow. My only qualm about this place is that they don't have services for fitting eyeglasses or contact lenses. You have to go somewhere else to get those done. That's a very minor thing though, but can be an inconvenience if you want a one-stop shop. Overall, happy to have found this place. Super clean, professional, efficient group. I'll be coming back here for all my eye/vision needs!

I was just told that I have been discharged from there service…read more They sent me bill that I never got . When I found out I owed them money I took time off work to get over there and pay them, that was several months ago and they never said anything about being discharged from service. Today I called and the receptionist told me they no longer want my business... imagine my surprise, when I tried to explain what happened the receptionist would not let me finish, she kept interrupting me and then hung up on me.... Keep in mind that when I found out I owed them money I took time off work to go there and pay them and at that time no one mentioned that I was no longer wanted as a customer.. I guess I need to find a doctor who cares about their patients

When a patient has an eye lasered at one facility and it makes their vision worse, as a daughter I wanted a second opinion before they did her other eye. It appears as though the staff at Port Huron Opthalmology does not wish to do so. Jean was very frank about not wanting to see my mother at their office.

He already had a "new" Optometrist's (Dr. Alicia Kominek) in the building, and some of the original staff as well as new staff. After my appointment, I was given a Prescription for new updated Lenses. The Appointment cost $180. I then drove to London to view the various Frames at the "large wholesale" stores.... for which there are none in Sarnia. At one store, after I found what I liked, and was ready to order...Buy 1 get One 1/2 Off...I found out that the Prescription that I was given from the Sarnia Office was an "old one"....a few years prior. Optometry Stores need the Original, not Faxes or Emails, so I was forced to drive back to Sarnia and get the current one I just was tested for. I simply asked for $40 in Fuel compensation, as the error was a huge one when dealing with a Prescription. I am sure a Physican wouldn't in good practice give out an old Prescription from a few years ago... Two years later, (September 2023), it was time to make another Appointment for a Check-up. Same Optometrist, same Staff, but they are refusing to compensate me the $40, as now officially the Practice has been Sold to a "new owner". Not even an Apology! I have CANCELLED My Appointment, and have gone else ware, looking for more PROFESSIONALISM. Thank You
