The wait to see the doctor was short, with the exam rooms comfortable while you wait. During my last visit I noticed they are updating the exam rooms with brand new equipment, gone all the old bulky machines of the past. If you have a child afraid of the old style machines, the new equipment might less intimidating for children. The doctors are well versed in what they do and will take the time to explain how to resolve any conditions you might have. My condition required some surgery which was done at an out of the area hospital which didn't bother me but might be an issue for others.

I hadn't had my vision prescription renewed in a year or so, and wanted an updated prescription, so my visit was very basic. However, I felt that given that an established relationship with an ophthalmologist would be beneficial for the future as well as get my prescription updated, I was referred to Dr. Johnson by my in-laws, and was happy with the decision. Even though I got my pupils dilated, the whole procedure with vision went very smoothly. I was in and out of there within 1 hour, with my new updated prescription in tow. My only qualm about this place is that they don't have services for fitting eyeglasses or contact lenses. You have to go somewhere else to get those done. That's a very minor thing though, but can be an inconvenience if you want a one-stop shop. Overall, happy to have found this place. Super clean, professional, efficient group. I'll be coming back here for all my eye/vision needs!

I was just told that I have been discharged from there service…read more They sent me bill that I never got . When I found out I owed them money I took time off work to get over there and pay them, that was several months ago and they never said anything about being discharged from service. Today I called and the receptionist told me they no longer want my business... imagine my surprise, when I tried to explain what happened the receptionist would not let me finish, she kept interrupting me and then hung up on me.... Keep in mind that when I found out I owed them money I took time off work to go there and pay them and at that time no one mentioned that I was no longer wanted as a customer.. I guess I need to find a doctor who cares about their patients

I first saw him 11 years ago based on a recommendation for eye surgery for strabismus. It was a great success, but it's common with strabismus that surgery will be needed again. So, here I am again. I called his office back in June, and his first available appointment was in October. When I was asked why I was calling, and explained my headaches and vision issues, they immediately got me an appointment within 2 weeks. Even though he sees adults, most of his patients are children, so his office is geared towards kids. I enjoyed watching "The Neverending Story" while I waited to see Dr. O'Malley. When I finally went in, he used a light-up ring, and an Elmo ring for me to follow with my eyes, as well as having "Toy Story 3" playing in the background. No complaints here as an adult! It's funny! Dr. O'Malley is a great doc. He's incredibly smart (hope so after 35 years!), and great sense of humor. He will definitely keep you smiling and immediately put you at ease. To give you a small symbol of his personality, he had on light orange Converse the day of my surgery. I love Converse, so that scored big points with me. On to my recent surgery....Nothing short of amazing. My eye muscles were not cooperating for him (of course) and the surgery took a little longer, but he did what he intended to do. I'm pretty sure it was a good learning experience for his assisting doctor. He always exceeds my expectations. He did a phenomenal job, and I couldn't be happier. My eye looks great, and feels pretty good too! He gave me his personal cell phone number to call him if I have any issues or concerns. Pretty cool! The tech who took talked to her and took down the initial information was very rude. I was very disappointed. I had chosen this office for my mom because I had read such great reviews. So I feel obligated to post her experience. It is always very sad when older people are treated with impatience or are patronized. If any of us lives to be old, I hope we are treated with dignity and empathy.
