Nice rooming park to explore. . Aquatic Center Restrooms and meeting rooms Pavilions Amphitheatre Fitness equipment Walking and biking trails Dog park Area is very hilly, but paved it stepped trails are available. I really enjoyed walking and exploring the park.

    Hillside bandstand area.

The Great: Gorgeous paved walking/running/biking path thru the middle of a suburban "forest" with plenty of shade, and some hilly terrain. A handful of unpaved trails also scattered about the park, giving you a chance to hoof it on an actual trail. A wonderful, spacious aquatic center with water slides, kiddie pools, etc. It is what is is. A ton of fun. Well maintained tennis courts to give your rackets sitting in the back of your closet some well needed use. The Good: A very nice playground, with plenty of equipment for kids to wear themselves out on, but there isn't much space around the equipment for children to scamper around, so kids getting into second grade and beyond will not have as much room as they would at say a Queeny, Des Peres, or The Butterfly House playgrounds. The Bad: There is a fitness trail, but half of the equipment is in need of some sprucing up, and the paved, westernmost part of the trail found on a hillside is beyond repair, and poses a definite tripping obstacle if you are doing anything over a slow walk. The Ugly: Worst disc golf course in the St. Louis area. By a large margin. Poorly laid out holes, unmarked basket targets, tee boxes, etc.

A wonderful suburban park with walking distance to many subdivisions and borders on the Klamberg Conservation area.

Great little park. I remember coming here very little for their wonderful fireworks display.

Nice, well maintained park. I hope to go back sometime to check out the disc golf course.

Small park to enjoy the little things…read more This park is extremely well maintained. The tennis and basketball courts look fresh and a new bed of wood chips were added to the children's playground. On the playground littles as young as 1 year old can enjoy a number of different kinds of equipment. They do have a baby and disability friendly swing available. However the entrance into the playground is NOT DISABILITY FRIENDLY. There is a short walking trail but beware of geese and their poo. I saw folks doing some leisurely fishing but not sure on those guidelines. The restrooms were interesting but I was surprised they were less maintained compared to the rest of the park. Dogs are welcome while on leash or on duty as service dogs.

However, if you're driving, there is plenty of parking. They have a little pond that people can fish in, and there are lots of ducks swimming and walking around. They have a playground and a basketball court, which both seem well-kept. There's also a pavilion but I haven't used it so I'm not sure what amenities it has. There's a path around the pond, and while it's a very short loop, it's good for a slow, peaceful wander. There are benches around the path and next to the park under some trees. I'd recommend checking it out if you're looking for a small, chill, clean, quiet park.

We enjoyed a moderately strenuous (to strenuous by Midwest standards) hike on the Green Rock Trail…read moreat Rockwoods. Note that the trail is listed as 8.4 miles out and back on AllTrails, and does not loop back to the office. Near the beginning of the trail, you will see a sign that says "short loop". If you stay on the regular Green Rock Trail (for about 2 miles or so) you will see the other end of the "short loop", which is also marked "to office". This will bring you back to the short loop marking near the entrance, and can make for a 3-4 miles total trip. We hiked beyond this point, then backtracked and returned via the short loop for a total trip distance of 4.38 miles and 807 ft of total ascent. This is some good elevation gain for Missouri. Early Spring was a nice time to hike as it was cool and dry. It was not as pretty, though, as it was still brown from Winter. We look forward to exploring more trails at this location, and seeing what the rest of the park has to offer.

It was also convenient because the trail was right inside the park entrance. The hills and valleys were cool to walk though, neat for Missouri lol. The trail was well maintained and easy to follow, not too muddy or buggy early spring. Wish this place was closer, we will be back!
