I called these guys on a recommendation from a local Austin company who was booked at the time. The guy that came in was very good, he came in on a Friday evening, had to dethaw a huge block of ice, drain a pan, and then he came back on Saturday to finish the work after the ice dethawed and drained, (Saturday was his day off) so he did me a big favor, when he could have told me, I'd have to wait til Monday. The property management company I lease my apartment from uses Bluebonnet for their tenants' AC repairs. Two Bluebonnet employees came out today to repair my AC unit's clogged drainpipe and figure out why the outdoor unit failed to maintain a particular temperature once my apartment reached it (essentially, it would turn itself off and stay off till I reset it). The two young men who assisted me were AWESOME. They were quick, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and extremely professional. They arrived exactly on time--none of the waiting around that usually accompanies professional home repair--and they immediately discovered the sources of the problems. They finished the repairs expediently and even taught me a few important things about my thermostat that the maintenance guy who installed it failed to mention. On top of it all, they were good people--super chill, kind, patient with my lack of knowledge about the amenities in my new apartment, and great around my typically skittish kitten. I can't speak for prices; the company I'm leasing through paid because the damage wasn't my fault. I can imagine, however, that they are fair as my management company tends to be frugal. The only reason I've docked them a star is that my property management company originally tried to reach them 8/31 to get me in first thing last week, and they never returned their call because, according to Bluebonnet, their answering service was down. It took a week to get them to my place. Although the inconvenience was partially Bluebonnet's fault for not maintaining their phone system, it's mostly my property manager's fault for being inattentive and not following up for a week. I highly recommend Bluebonnet. I hired them to clean my air ducts and vents. My usual AC company didn't provide this service, but referred me to Bluebonnet and had wonderful things to say about them. The person who answered the phone was very sweet and knowledgeable. She was happy to provide price information over the phone (which is rare these days), and it was clear she was not trying to upsell unnecessary services. Just a genuinely nice, helpful person. The gentleman who arrived to clean the system was also very polite. But the next day, we noticed some of the intake vents were still dusty. Reluctantly, I called Bluebonnet to bring this to their attention. Within minutes, the owner of the company called me. He was disappointed to hear I was not satisfied and quickly set up follow up appointment. The owner came to the house, along with the employee who had originally cleaned. Together, they re-checked every last detail and made sure everything was spotless. Admittedly, there were a few areas that had been overlooked. But rather than brushing it off, or blaming someone else, the owner took full responsibility to make sure everything was done correctly. The air quality is now cleaner than ever, and I have a lot of respect for the way this was handled. read more

Jeremy was wonderful! A/C breaks down on 100 degree day. Called at 7:15am and my call was returned in 30 minutes and at my home by 10:00 am and fixed by 11:00am. Woke up this morning and did not realize our AC was not working until it really started to warm up late morning. With a 9 1/2 mo old at home and nowhere to go I called bluebonnet after a referral from another highly reviewed company on yelp. Jeremy answered the phone I did not have to leave a voicemail and he said he could be here between 2-5p I was happy to have same day response. At 1:40 he called to say he would be here in 20 min! And he was here in 20 min! Took a look and discovered it was a loose melted wire he fixed it and it cost only the fee for the service call $65. We had a big project to replace an old, small unit and install vents in several areas of the house where extensions were created. I asked all my friends at church and in our neighborhood who they recommended before I collected bids from companies. Bluebonnet HVAC had way more recommendations than any other company, and his bid was priced very fairly. I love the fact that Jeremy shoots you straight without trying to be a pushy salesman or try to sell you features you don't need. Jeremy and his assistant Matt were at my house for 3 days, installing new vents to the remodeled areas, creating another air return, installing ducts, installing a larger plenum, and replacing my dead AC unit with a larger model. They were totally professional and were the absolute best contractors I've ever had in my home (we have hired dozens of contractors for our fixer-upper house). Matt and Jeremy had a great work ethic and high standards for workmanship. They were very careful to clean up the mess that was created each time they had to cut out a new vent hole in the ceiling. Matt even left my attic cleaner than he found it. They were always courteous and I felt like they were trustworthy. I'd whole -heartedly recommend them to anyone. read more

Needed some minor repair work done for a sale listing in the Leander area. As with others, I first called Green Air but was also told they were too busy for new customers. He recommended Jeremy with Bluebonnet. I also needed to have a bird's nest removed from a passive vent in the roof and hesitantly asked if that was a task he could look into, rather than trying to find someone's friend's cousin twice removed who would do it for a six pack, or worse, a "professional" who would charge $$$. We met the following day for an assessment. Moments later Jeremy provided a video of the system and showed where the repairs were needed. He found the bird's nest, took a look at the roof pitch, said he's scaled much worse and kindly added that item to the invoice He provided a very reasonable estimate on the spot and immediately sent it to me. The following week I met w/ Matthew for the repairs, completed in less than an hour. Both gentlemen were extremely professional and courteous, generously throwing in "yes Ma'am" and "no Ma'am" in that charming small town way. Prompt, quick service and followup. I caleed Bluebonnet on a very hot day two weeksa ago when my AC went out and withing hours they were there to check on the problem. The guy that came out was professional and explained everything he was doing. A few days later my AC stopped running again and I decided to upgrade.
