Evenaire recently completed a system replacement in my home and it was a great experience. Communication was excellent from start to finish. They were able to accommodate my preferred times for an initial bid and to schedule the work. All my calls or emails were answered within 24 hours and they even sent a reminder email a few days before the work was scheduled. Service was great. During the initial bid appointment, Nick answered all my questions and was clearly super knowledgeable. He was onsite before and after the install appointment to make sure all I was happy with the work and even gave some great maintenance tips. The install was completed quickly and within the estimated time frame. The technicians were mindful to protect my floors as they worked and cleaned up after themselves. They even re- installed the baby gate that had to be removed to get the units up and down the stairs. A new HVAC system is a large investment, so we had bids from 3 companies. This is my SECOND review for Evenaire Heating & Air Conditioning. It's never a good time for an AC or Heating outage, but working with Evenaire during these "bad times" is as good as it gets. This morning I woke up to a 60 degree home. I immediately called these guys as they'd repaired my AC unit before and had been great. I left a message and was called back almost right away. Jennifer was amazing in scheduling my appointment and working around my existing meetings to send out a technician. Nick came out to my house, and he'd diagnosed the issue within less than 5 minutes. On a Saturday afternoon our AC unit stopped blowing cold air, seemingly out of nowhere in the hot Texas weather. We called Evenair about a bad smell coming from our a/c and were told we needed a $1,400 filtration system, which we foolishy paid for. My daughter and I are severe asthmatics and had to stay at a hotel for several days as the work was being done. As soon as we returned home I noticed the smell was not gone and called them to come back out. Danny the owner insisted he didn't smell anything and suggested I had sprayed "perfume" and this was what I was reacting to. We asked him if they ever checked the registers where we noticed mold growing and were told "we don't do that". My daughter and I headed back to the hotel while they waited a week to replace two ducts ($400 more dollars) which we were told would fix the problem. Came back home to the same musty odor. Called another company and they immediately checked all the registers and the coil which was covered in mold and debris (see photo). All the while we were spoken down to by Danny and his staff. The other company was perplexed how these things were never checked as a possible source of the odor as it is quite common. Nor did Evenaire tell us to remove the indoor filter which was causing water to accumulate in the drip pan. Nor did they seal the new registers to the ceiling so we would've been in the same boat with mildew over time. And that super duper filtration system? See the second photo of what we vacuumed from my ASTHMATIC daughter's room after only three days! Turns out there were still holes in other ductwork which Evenair also failed to recognize. If I had any money left I'd take them to small claims to get my money back and all of the hotel and medical bills. Absolutely unacceptable!! read more

Where to begin... First of all, not $1 has gone out of my pocket to Evenaire thus far, and they have a new biggest fan. We have been without working AC units for the last 4 days. After being given the runaround from other companies, the owners of Evenaire were honest up front, and let us know they can't make it out until Monday morning. After realizing we have two beautiful little girls in the house, they spent over an hour on the phone with me this afternoon, helping me diagnose the problem, so we can be up and running ASAP on Monday morning. We figured out that the control board on our 2.5 year old system has failed. It is under warranty, and they have already ordered it. Not sure where to start. Everyone knows how critical a good AC is in central Texas for about 360 days out of the year. I've been having home AC problems since about mid-June. Called an AC company out to fix the issue. They did fix the original problem and told me that I would have future issues as my equipment was failing. They told me the equipment could last out the summer, or it could go out the next day. I still had periodic issues, and after another failure on a very hot July Saturday, I decided to try another company. I found the high reviews on Yelp for Evenaire and gave them a call. Here is the first amazing thing. Our AC failed early on a hot (any other kind) July Saturday evening. I called Evenaire, expecting to leave a message. To my surprise, the phone was answered on the 1st or 2nd ring, and I talked to a human being (Stephanie). I told her the problem, and she said that she would try to have the guys out there that night. I was stunned that I could possibly get service that night. She called back at about 9:00 PM or so and said their previous service call had run late, and would I mind if they showed up tomorrow (Sunday) instead. Of course I didn't mind. The mere fact that they were willing to come out VERY late on a Saturday night was beyond my comprehension. They arrived before 9:00 AM the next day (Sunday) morning. To my previous AC guys credit, they echoed everything that he said, so at least I wasn't conned. Since they couldn't do anything, they did not charge me for the service visit. Long story short, I had to get a new AC. Evenaire has a deal with Wells Fargo for financing if necessary. Thanks to that, we got a little higher model than we could have afforded without it. Great investment. We were still having problems with some rooms in the house not cooling properly. This was an issue that predated the new AC. We just kind of hoped a new AC would fix that. Sadly it didn't. Evenaire came out again to give an estimate on what it would take. When the house was built, the builders used the wrong sized duct work for the bedrooms. Danny and his crew came out again, installed the appropriate sized duct works in the bedrooms, now the whole house is nice and as cool as we want it to be. This is what I loved about working with Evenaire: 1) great customer service. When they say they will be there by X time on X date, they mean it 2) great integrity - There was a minor mistake on my final bill. I was an honest mistake and when I pointed it out they were very sorry for the mixup and corrected it right away. 3) great work - they say it will take X, Y and Z to complete the job and it will be done by X time. They get everything done they say that will, by (in my case well before) the time they said they were going to complete it. 4) Financing options - VERY easy to get, and very fast. We applied for the financing on a Sunday night, it was approved Monday, and by the next day, Tuesday, they were installing our new high capacity AC. I highly recommend Evenaire for all of your heating and cooling needs. read more

I've used other A/C companies in the area and thought I was getting quality work done but Evenaire showed me differently. They were the 5th company we called on a Sunday evening because our pipe froze over and the motor wouldn't spin after we dethawed it. No one would agree to come out that evening and it was a sweltering 90 degrees in our house. Evenaire came out within the hour (when no other company did). After quickly diagnosing the motor, we had a new capacitor and cool air. They also caught something that no other previous companies found. Our unit had an internal filter that was reusable and washable. We never knew this and so had another filter near the air intake vent. The internal filter was disgustingly dirty! If it was supposed to be blue, it was a mottled grey. Honestly it looked like it hadn't been touched since the install of the unit. Apparently this is something that should be checked during the yearly maintenance checks. For the past 2 years, we've had A+ heating and cooling and Austin Air Dynamics do this maintenance work. Not once did anyone EVER check this, or tell us that we were over working our system by using 2 filters. Lastly, apparently during these maintenance checks, you are supposed to have your outside unit cleaned thoroughly. Evenaire informed us that sometimes other companies will take a hose and barely squirt it down if that at all. Evenaire took apart the entire framing and pulled handfuls of grass, dirt, and gunk from our unit. Thank god for honest business people. We found out that they are a family business who started because they were put off by the practices of another larger A/C company. They were amazing and their prices were reasonable. I was so grateful, I wanted to add gratuity to our bill for them coming out on a Sunday! read more

Called them late afternoon because my ac stopped blowing. Came out within the hour and within 5 min of arriving, identified the issue (blower motor went bad). Since it was late in afternoon, there were not able to get blower motor from Lennox until morning. Got a call in the morning that they had picked up new blower motor amd were on the way. Technician had it installed in 15-20 minutes and we have air conditioning again. Will definitely use Evenaire for any air condition related services again! read more

I had been taken advantage of from another company for years and the last straw was he wanted me to pay anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 to replace my whole unit, which he was the one who caused the leak in the first place and had been charging me to fill my unit every year. I had just quit my job and had a new baby when my AC went out in the dead heat of Aug, so $5,000 was devastating. I called Evenaire for another opinion and I am glad I did!!! They fixed my old unit, called around on my warranties and made it work for way less than that. A year later, I had an issue with something and they were quick to respond, plus I felt very supported as they treated me with the utmost kindness and respect. My A/C died because the fan on the condenser stopped working ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON! I checked my NextDoor app for recommended Air Conditioner repair and EvenAire was HIGHLY recommended by my immediate neighbors. I used another company for my maintenance recently and felt they were overpriced, but my neighbors hailed that EvenAire was fair. I called on a Friday afternoon for someone to come out and they said they had someone available! Great sign! Tech showed up and tested the compressor. Sure enough, the fan was dead. Our system is 16 years old and we knew when we bought the house last year that the previous owner had issues. We received the price to fix and it seemed like a bandaid fix for us. The tech gave us prices for a new system and we decided to go with that instead. We felt the fan fix was high but the tech offered us a discount if we decided to go with one of the new units that would take up to 2 months to order. We talked (my team) and decided to go with the Lennox unit they had in stock and waited until Tuesday for the install. Usually, my husband takes that time to consider the pros and cons, whether we're getting ripped off or not, etc... after he talked with other folks, he felt comfortable with his decision. So, all that being said, the install techs showed up on time,'installed the new A/C and furnace right on time (as told when the arrived) and were on their way. We are out of state on vacation and through our thermostat app discovered that our home was up to 86° at 7:30am even though it was set to 78°. Now here's a family owned company you can absolutely count on. We had our new system installed almost 2 years ago now, they only use the industry leading brand Lennox, ours is a XP16 3 - Ton. I'm telling you there hasn't been one time that we've had to even think about our A/C unit or the consistency of the temperature in our home, we go to the app on our phone no matter where we are to get a accurate temp reading and/or to adjust the temp. You don't have to worry about who comes out to do the install because they are all family with unmatchable knowledge and paramount expertise in the business, not mention their reliability after the transaction.
