I was a loyal, fully paying customer of Green Leaf for over a year and a half, and my experience was defined by poor workmanship, broken promises, and a management team that ultimately let my warranty expire rather than help me use it. My issues started in April 2024 with a faulty tankless water heater installation, one of their own technicians later told me the crew had failed to install all required parts. That crew was subsequently laid off. Water was dripping from the exterior pipe and pushing into the attic. After significant back-and-forth, the symptoms were addressed, but the root installation failures were never formally resolved. During my Fall 2025 HVAC tune-up, a technician identified that the supply plenum from my original 2021 HVAC installation was undersized and improperly installed, something never flagged in any prior Green Leaf service visit. I followed up by email requesting next steps and never received a response. A year later, they were quoting me over $4,000 to fix an installation error that their own team had been servicing around for years without disclosing. The most serious issue involved my HVAC coil. In Spring 2026, my refrigerant was found to be low. Rather than immediately discussing a potential warranty claim on the coil, which would have been the right call, Green Leaf charged me for a refrigerant refill and pushed a $300 diagnostic fee. After weeks of back-and-forth, a UV dye test confirmed a visible leak at the top of the indoor coil. By then, Green Leaf had already terminated the business relationship and refused further service. At no point did anyone at Green Leaf ever mention that a coil replacement might be covered under warranty. They collected their charges, ran the clock out with delayed diagnostics, and walked away once the leak was confirmed. The one genuine bright spot was former Office Manager Michelle Lewis, who was consistently professional and communicative. The contrast between her service and what I experienced from General Manager Thos Graham, who shifted terms between emails and ended the relationship when I asked reasonable clarifying questions, was significant. I paid every invoice in full, renewed my membership, and gave Green Leaf every opportunity to make things right. What I got in return was a company that prioritized its billing over my best interests. Find a different HVAC and plumbing company! read more

We had these guys come out last weekend to look at our AC unit that was making noise. They happened to have availability the following morning, so out of convenience, we went with it. The guy who came out was super nice. He diagnosed a bad compressor (in our 2 year old system) within minutes. Obviously parts are covered under manuf warranty, but we were on the hook for labor and somehow also the cost of freon (not unique to this company, but what a sham). Where it gets interesting: We were initially told it was $1600. Somehow after I had said yes, the estimate jumped to $2600. Supposedly this was due to the size of the unit and the amount of freon - our system requires 8lbs 2oz. Sticker shock on sticker shock...but whatever. We were just hoping to get out closer to the first estimate and moved forward with the appointment while the weather was nice. On the day they were scheduled to come, we were given a window of 8-12AM but told it would likely be around 10AM. We obviously made arrangements to be home. By 1PM, we had still not heard from them. My partner called to check in, and he was told by the office that they were running late on a job but would be there shortly. By 3:30PM, we had still not heard from their office. We ended up just canceling the appointment... These days, there's just no excuse for poor communication. It's super freaking rude to leave people waiting - people who have taken time off work to make sure they're there for the appointment window you provided to us. It's not that hard to keep people posted if things change. I fully respect the fact that other jobs can run late, etc. But to miss a 4 hour window by 3.5 hours without even a call to us is beyond ridiculous. read more

This business pulled up as servicing Leander so gave them a call. I had Chris show up in just about an hour after he wrapped up another job. Chris was outstanding. He was quick to find the issue, explain the issue and help me resolve. He was Personable, quick and the price was great. I had the house cooling again after my AC got some TLC. I was scheduled to have maintenance done with this company and they no showed my appointment and never came. When I stayed home for five hours and asked the company what happened and what happened to my technician. The technician said "I have personal issues and I don't have time for this" and hung up on my husband. I will never do business with this company ever nor do I recommend you do business with this company either. After paying over 500$ to charge my leaking air conditioner -that lasted a week I decided to replace the 12 year old unit. My 2000 square foot house had a 3 ton unit. Greenleaf gave me an estimate for another 3 ton Carrier unit. A co-worker said -are you sure you dont need a bigger unit? I asked Greenleaf- they said Oh yeah you could probably use a bigger unit- Price difference with Greenleaf from a 3 ton to 3.5 ton-over a thousand dollars! I went with Service Wizard-they came out and did a proper inspection,sat down with me and went over all my options.Greenleaf customer service was appalling. read more

Asked Greenleaf AC to come diagnose a non working ac in a vacated rental property. I made it known to them that the property had been recently vacated and I had no understanding of what was wrong with the ac just that it wasn't working. A greenleaf technician came out and told me capacitor was blown which was causing the unit to turn off from over heating and it would be $220 charge. He also mentioned the coil was showing signs of leaking and recommended replacement ($3400) At no point did he tell me to stop running the ac, (I wasn't running the ac, because the house wasn't occupied and it's June in Texas. He was the last one to touch the thermostat, air handler and compressor. He left the attic door wide open and we walked out of the house. I did not double check the areas he was working in due to he was as a professional or so I thought. Came back to the house 3 days later and the entire kitchen ceiling is falling in, air handler above in attic is overflowing the drain pan, We never had a condensation drain or drain problem before, the drain pan was obviously compromised and the technician did not mention or discuss any of these issues with me. Greenleaf tells me it's my problem and there is nothing they can do. Their technician came in, miss diagnosied the problem and compounded the issues by leaving a broken ac running in a vacant house. Now I'm getting quotes for $2000 sheet rock repair and then paint on top of that due to green leafs incompetents. Their response was it was not their problem and the technician advised us not to run the AC. Not only did that conversation not happen he was the last person to touch all AC equipment. This company is going to cost me $3000 in repairs for their mess ups and then I will have to find an AC company to repair their incompetence. Green Leaf replaced our HVAC system back in 2018, good prices, great sales and install team, overall wonderful experience. Recently we've had some hard to diagnose issues with the furnace. Daniel did his best to figure it out, inspected everything from the roof to the attic, and ultimately recommend we replace the inducer motor to fix the issue (under warranty) because it was the most likely reason for flame blowback. Everything ran fine for two weeks, when I noticed the heat was blowing cold air again. When I called in, Mark came out within hours and recognized due to some soot near the heat sensor that we probably had a gas valve not closing properly when the heat turned off, which was causing the flame to go the wrong direction and tripping the sensor. He was able to replicate the problem, and he's back now (next day) replacing the valve. Both Daniel and Mark are friendly, professional, and great to work with. I appreciate that they walk me through what they're seeing and explain it all. Plus, the dogs like them! Trustworthy, responsive, friendly, quick with service calls, and reasonably priced. Spent $1500 on a new blow motor in 2022 that was supposed to have a 5 year warranty. They will not honor the warranty because they are now saying the 5 years starts after the initial installation of my whole unit which was in 2009. According to them, my warranty expired in 2019 when the part was not installed until 2022???? Technician was very rude because I have a Lennox unit and he HATED working on Lennox units. Green Leaf has been our go-to AC and Heating service for a couple years. We've had issues off and on because our systems are older. We are pleased with their professionalism and dedication to troubleshooting issues. Recently, Mark visited because our downstairs wasn't heating. The system was just running and running, causing our outdoor system to work overtime. He delivered the bad news: we needed a new air handler. But, he helped us figure out a cost and connected us for scheduling ASAP, before the temperature dropped to freezing again. Mikey and Danny installed our system and tested everything several times to make sure it worked. To me, my Nest Thermostat is the worst to set up. Countless times, it's not running the furnace when it should and it's taking hours to heat up. Mikey corrected the settings. The next day, our other unit wasn't heating properly and Daniel arrived with a smile and ready to determine the issue. He resolved it and everything was humming correctly. read more

I don't want to give my hard-earned money to companies that treat me with disrespect. Hello, we now have the technology to actually reach customers in real-time, on the go. Heck, we can even track your work vehicles these days. There is no reason to fail in letting me know the plumber was not going to arrive as scheduled. Sure was an interesting experience. Never had an experience where they tested my exterior coolant pressure and then replaced a interior thermostat in May and then surprise had a coolant leak through a loose nut in Jan. Tech blamed the manufacturer of the 5 year old unit.... Not really believing it. Online coolant estimates say coolant should be $50 to $70 per lb. Greenleaf preferred custom per lb was a whoping $157. I needed 6 lbs. Seems obscene since a 25lb tank is $300 online at multiple retailers without a bulk supplier discount(but you have to have an HVAC license to buy) Happy to have a working unit, disappointed in Greenleaf time and time again. The last time they disappointed me they refused to sell me a light bulb for my Reme Halo. Why do I have a Reme Halo? Because it was a "free upgrade"... Free but necessary because if you don't have a filtration system mold grows on high efficiency heat pumps. Funny that wasn't disclosed. Don't worry got my light bulb elsewhere. The time before that Greenleaf disappointed me by telling me they don't call people to schedule routine maintenance for the routine maintenance plan they sell unlike what we were told at purchase. Too hard..cant possibly call hundreds of people and schedule the routine maintenance we sold them. Only funny thing is... other companies do. The time before that they disappointed me by telling me they only sell Tranes. Come to find out they sell Carriers which is what I asked for. But don't worry they totally installed a slightly more expensive air conditioner than the one that I agreed to verbally and then ask me for just $2,000 more upon install hence the free reme halo upgrade.... But don't worry they were going to apply for my rebate from the state of Texas for high efficiency machine. It only took three phone calls from them and the check came from them not the state of Texas and it was only for $100 less and they said it would be. I purchased a brand new air conditioning system from a company called Dave's Heating and Air. I completely paid them for the brand new system. During that time Green Leaf purchased Dave's Heating and Air. The system was inspected by the City and it did not pass inspection. I asked Green Leaf to rectify the problem since they now owned the company. After several months of trying to get them to do the work, they came out and fixed the problem. They then proceeded to invoice me. I disputed the charge and they continued to harass me, threatening to turn the charge over to bill collectors. Green Leaf is an unethical business. I used Green Leaf a few years ago to replace my air conditioner and have been extremely happy with the initial install and maintenance services so I thought I'd them first for my water heater issue. I found Green Leaf by putting out a call for bids on a new AC system on yelp. Eddie was the first to respond and called me within less than 10 minutes to provide a rough estimate. We had previously had a diagnostic and bid that seemed very high for a full system replacement and Eddie made me feel at ease. He offered to come out first thing in the morning, which was a Saturday and happened to be his daughter's birthday! He came on time and was extremely efficient in explaining what the process would be like for replacing the system. We got a couple more quotes and Green Leaf came in cost-wise around what larger companies were offering. Eddie was professional in explaining things to my wife and I, he was very timely, and his crew got the job done in less time than promised. Green Leaf even offered a better labor guarantee than other companies- two years included. I'll be having them out in the future for anything else that we need service for on our home. read more

I called Green Leaf after-hours and got someone on the phone immediately to schedule, we set a time for the day after and the technician, Arthur, came slightly early - which is amazing considering I was given a 4 hour window and was prepared to wait almost 4 hours. He was wearing a mask from start to finish and was one of the most knowledgeable repair person I've dealt with. He also explained everything to me in detail - as a woman I hate being talked to like I don't understand repairs because I do my homework - and he really knew his stuff! He diagnosed a broken motor and he also suggested a Reme Halo device to help with allergens, molds, virus and bacteria. (There was no sales pitch he just explained how it works and since I understand and believe in science it sold itself). He went to get the motor and the Reme and was back very quickly, in all the repair time was just a few hours. So, after getting the motor fixed and the Reme installed, I can tell after just a day that it is amazing! The air quality in our 80's built home is so much better and smells cleaner. My husband has asthma and so we know what clean air feels like and it's been super helpful. The heater is working perfectly. Arthur said he was new to the company and my advice to Green Leaf is to keep him because he's awesome! Highly recommend! read more

These folks installed a unit in 2014. No problem outside of Eddie not being able to handle the negotiation process. He was extremely sensitive that I wasn't real trusting of AC companies as I believe they are scam artists to a degree. Fast forward 5 years later and the unit Eddie and team is not blowing cold air at all. I call up greenleaf and their guy comes out, charges me $65 and tell me I have a leak. Well duh...He then tells me that I need to have an "isolation test" done to figure out if the leak is at the evaporator, compressor, or the line inside the house. He thought this would cost about $600! He would have to pressurize the compressor , the evaporator, and the line between them. No idea why he couldn't run tests on just the parts they installed,but that line probably works for the non technical types. He promised a formal quote but I have yet to see one. I called another company out and they were able to quickly identify the evaporator coil as the culprit. If you go with these guys, make sure you stroke the owners ego or your service after the sale might go to zero read more
