Giving a written 4.5 (would be saying 5 stars if I'd been told Saturday eve when I got a call-back from Jesse about my 5-year-old system blowing hot air, that they weren't open on Sundays and I should probably reserve a first-available dispatch right then), but after 2 days in an 87-degree house, they were able to get a dispatch to my house super quick on Monday morning & luckily I had a much more minor issue to deal with!! Jorge was professional, thorough, and efficient, and he even made some recommendations to prevent future power issues as well as get me set up on a yearly spring diagnostic to get ahead of any future issues. (This company originally sold & installed my current HVAC system & gave me fair pricing & a quick install time-frame as well, when my original system finally died. This was the first time needing help with an issue & they took good care of me.) I do recommend this business for new HVAC & troubleshooting support! read more

I had used Arrow for many years because of the excellent service I received from another technician in the past. Unfortunately, my experience changed two years ago when I had a new HVAC system installed. The technician, Michael B., was rude and grumpy during the initial consultation. On the installation day, the crew caused a significant water leak inside my home and then gave me an explanation that I later learned was untrue. This week, I called Arrow for service, hoping I would have a better experience. Instead, the same technician, Michael B., was assigned to my appointment. Without asking permission, he entered my open garage and loudly knocked on the door leading into my house. I had only opened the garage so I could show him the attic access, and I was shocked by the intrusion. Throughout the visit, he was again rude and visibly irritated. When I asked a simple question, he responded in such an aggressive tone that it felt like he was yelling at me. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. Based on these repeated encounters, I don't believe Arrow places enough emphasis on customer service or professionalism. I used to recommend Arrow to my neighbors, but I no longer do so. I was referred to this company by my homeowners insurance. They did everything they needed to fix my problem on the hottest day of the year. They came out in one hour after I called in desperation. In addition to fixing my air-conditioning unit, he taught me how to maintain it and clear easy instructions that I can understand. I highly recommend this business! read more

Be very cautious with Arrow. I requested service based on the $90 service call and that going towards repair, if needed. The technician was thorough and identified and fixed the issue (rodent-chewed wire) but took 3 hours (@$189/hr) to do so. I don't mind the price but multiple reasons I will not recommend or ever use Arrow again: - At no point in the 3 hours did the technician set expectations on the hourly charge. Knowing how much my electrician charges ($140 per hour), I had an idea but a simple, "I've not found the issue, it will take several hours to figure it out and/or fix, and we charge $190 per hour, plus parts." would've been perfect. - During the repair, the technician noted the unit works best without spliced wires but the original install had spliced wire. He chose to cut and resplice existing wire (making them shorter), rather than rerun but told me all this after he spent the 3 hours. So I didn't have an option to pay more to rerun the wire. Thus, I now would need to pay my electrician (or an HVAC tech) more money to rerun the wire, if the splices cause issues later. - The issue with rodents required additional sealing of the entry point of the compressor into the house. When spreading silicone into the hole the wire nut around the splice immediately became disconnected. I did not overspread, it was a very small amount, as when I began to put some in the gap, the wire immediately became loose. There is barely enough wire to make the spliced wire connect. No worries, it's low voltage so I reconnected it. - When I called to bring the above up to Arrow, the gentleman got very defensive. I called to provide my experience and to inquire about their rate. He was not the friendliest of folks. He blamed me for breaking what the tech "fixed" (a light rain or rodent touch would've broken the splice). He also explained that they do not tell you the issue because if they did you could fix it yourself. Perhaps this is standard but in my 20 years of home ownership, HVAC techs explain the problem, charge me for the service call, and give me the option for repair. In some instance, they do not know the issue but set expectations so I would not be surprised with the bill. He's right though, I would've been happy to pay the hourly rate that it took to find the issue and gotten a quote for the repair. Then, shopped around. He compared it to getting an alternator repair on a car, which I didn't understand. Typically, an auto repair would go like, "We think it's your alternator. This is the price to replace your alternator. Pay us for the diagnostic or pay us to repair your alternator." and knowing, if replacing the alternator still doesn't fix the issue, you don't get a refund. That's pretty standard but not at all what happened here. There was a couple other minor issues, overall though, I'm happy they fixed my A/C on a hot day but afterward, I felt taken advantage of and will not use their service again. read more

Arrow Services is top notch! They sent out two technicians that I had worked with before Michael and his partner. Michael is amazing, efficient, knowledgeable, and always nice. I am sorry I don't remember the young man's name but he was just as kind and helpful. They come out really quick, they are well worth what you pay to work with them. If you need your units serviced give them a call. At this point I would not call anyone other than them to handle maintenance or any other issue with my unit. Oh my goodness!!! Arrow Service Center was contacted at 5:00pm, Friday by my husband to see if they can come look at our home A/C unit as it was leaking and not working. Luckily we were able to reach their very helpful dispatcher, Jessie, and they happened to have a repair gentleman in our area!!! The wonderful repair man Kyle was at our house within 20 minutes, fixed the problem and on his way out! To try to explain how appreciative we are to have our A/C back in working order on a late Friday afternoon with such a short notice..... There aren't enough words. We are expecting guests this weekend and getting everything in order for this weekend is most important. Got a recommendation from a friend. My house has it's original (20 year old) A/C system. I haven't had it checked in a couple of years, so I made an appointment. This company had a special going on - a service contract on Heating-A/C, with 2 inspections a year for only $109. I made an appointment. They were a little late, but Jorge Rebeles called and kept me posted on his ETA. When he showed, he did a thorough and very detailed inspection of my system. His knowledge and professionalism were impressive. Darn nice guy too. I got a few tips on some things I can do to help my system last. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! I've used Arrow for service at my condo a few years ago and they seemed fine. Now, I have a rental unit and my tenant was having serious A/C problems during 100F heat in Austin. So quite an urgent issue. I called Arrow and told them about the tenant and asked them to make arrangements with him to send a technician ASAP. They sent a first technician (after several days) who said he couldn't do anything until the A/C line was unfrozen. So he shut off the A/C and left. A second technician was supposed to come the next day, and that's when the problems started happening. They didn't show up as expected, blamed my tenant for it (and I'm sure that's not true, the poor guy wanted his A/C fixed ASAP). Then, when I called from outside the US to ask what was going on, they got pretty rude with me on the phone, told me my tenant was a whiner, etc... Finally, late in the evening, someone came, said there was nothing really wrong with the A/C, blew some air or something in the line, did nothing to really check anything, said the system was too old and left after asking for $200. Did that fix the issue? Absolutely not, the A/C still gets frozen on a regular basis and my tenant who is very patient has learned that if he turns off the system for an hour or so, then he can restart it. But we are now at the point where the system is completely dead and I will have to call another company. In other words, I will never use Arrow again. I think they were okay at some point, but they have become horrible. I am disgusted by their lack of professionalism. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! read more

Ok my desire for zero stars has now gone to a desire for negative stars. What just happened is just too comical not to share. So first off I went with another company two weeks ago who was wonderful and fixed the mess Arrow caused within 4 hrs of my call and charged less than Arrow charged me to "not fix" anything. The comical part...I just got a call from Arrow 2 wks later from when they hung up on me. They just called to say, "Hey, we got a missed call from this number?" First off I never called them and would not have bothered to call back a company that is unprofessional enough to actual hang up on me. Net is THEY just called me and when I explained that they hung up on me two weeks ago and that no, I didn't just call them, guess what he did???? Yep, hung up on me. LOL!!! This company is a joke. They need to bring up their level of service with their first step firing Jessie or getting him a serious deep dive class on social skills, customer service, net promoter scores, and the 4 Disciplines of Excellence! Until they do, I suggest you do not use this company. Take it from someone who gives positive reviews all the time and this being my first real negative review which speaks volumes to how horrific my experience was with this company. read more

Recently they came out to check our HVAC system as it had frozen up. After what seemed to be a quick 20 minute inspection, we were told, that our air filters were extremely dirty and that was the reason the unit froze up. He said that he taped up one spot on the unit in the attic. That was it. Nothing more to do. He assured us that was the only thing that was wrong. Several days later, the same thing happened. Upon inspection of the unit in the attic, there was nothing taped up and there was air leaking into the attic. The technicians talk to you like you are stupid and they know much more than you do. They offered a competitive price on a new system and explained how they came to that conclusion and what exactly would be done. The crew arrived on-time for this large project and worked efficiently as a great team. They were respectful of my time and my home, protecting areas and cleaning up afterwards. I am terribly sorry but after spending over $300 and waiting 3 months to have our refrigerator diagnosed and repaired...it still is in the same condition as the day I called Arrow Service. And they do spell their compamy "Aarow" on their correspondence Now, they were very nice and I believe genuinely attempted to fix my appliance. And I do not fault them for the original miss-diagnosis. No one is perfect and I accept that in everyone. But as time went by and our refrigerator kept going out, Aarows consideration to my problem seemed to be to much trouble for them. They changed from being genuine and nice to belligerent and lying about what had happened and what I had paid for. That was so very discouraging. Almost every time I discussed my issue with the manager he told me incorrect information with what I had already paid for and what my symptoms were. The change in customer service was disturbing and they eventually recommended another company to try and fix my issue. That is fine...but I had already spent over 300 for them to fix it and Arrow would not do anything but blame me and my appliance...not their own incompetence or miss-diagnosis. I had another company come out who correctly found the problem within 20 min...Seriously folks. So lessoned learned. I could have given Aarow 4 stars for customer service and recommending another company when they admitted they could not fix my problem. But they chose to keep my money for a job they did not, could not and would not fix. And that is just not acceptable. So for easy repairs I am sure they are very good. But I have no confidence they can fix anything other than the basics. Oh yeah...i do have ample documentation on all of this ! read more

They came to my house on a groupon deal, then told me there was an issue with my HVAC, and for another $59.00 they would tell me what it was, so I paid them. Then the technician stated the problem would cost me $695 to repair. I found out the part he thought was bad was covered under warranty. I called another company for a second opinion and they said the repair would be $250. They came out and it wasn't the problem after all. Just needed a boost of freon. The charge was $86.50 for the service call and the freon boost. Arrow was a complete rip off! read more

Arrow initially sent out a tech on Sunday to take a look at our A/C. The fan would try to start but would not come on. This first tech said it was a bad control board and promised an update on new parts Monday morning at 7:30 AM. Sure enough I got the email promised. A new tech showed up at 10 AM to install it. I could see he was more knowledgeable. He quickly did a test and said it was a bad fan motor not the control board. I was mad because we had already been roasting for 24 hours. He said that part was harder to find and it might take another day. He would check with the office and see what they could do. Now the amazing part....They found a new motor, went and picked it up AND installed it that afternoon. Even better they did not charge me more for the job quote even though the motor was a more expensive part. This type of service goes above and beyond anything one could ever expect from a service company. They have my business forever! But hope I don't need A/C repair too often. read more

This is the best AC repair group I have found. Any time I have a problem they come out there in a jiffy. The same service man comes each time and knows me and knows everything about my unit. They are incredibly friendly and fast and don't over charge me. Just last week it was diagnosed that there was a burnt wire in the area of the compressor that made my unit not cool. They only charged me the standard 59$ service fee and nothing else for the replacement of the part or the labor involved with it's replacement. When we bought my house 6 years ago, we were saddled with two AC units that were on their last legs. The team at Arrow helped us with repairs until it was no longer financially realistic to do so. Since then, we have replaced both units with Arrow and are very satisfied. Just last week, we had them back to completely redesign our duct work in our attic due to damage from roof rats and squirrels. (They had recommended it when we first had them out here, but we delayed...shame on me because my daughter's bedroom is FINALLY getting the airflow to cool it down!) Every time we have had them here, they were fast (even in the summer rush) courteous, prompt and reasonably priced. I have used other AC dealers/service technicians due to restrictions from our home service contracts, but I was angry with their lack of customer service. I ended up spending my own money to solve the problem and ended up back at Arrow... Mike and the team came to my house over the weekend in the Mid-July craziness and had my house cool again quickly. (The competitor that the home warranty service required didn't call me back until the following Tuesday!) I highly recommend Mike and the team. read more

I purchased a voucher from Amazon Local Deals and all I can say is ROCK ON. It was a great deal but looking at the Yelp reviews lately it made me sort of think about it. Michael called approx 30 minutes ahead and he arrived within that time slot. He ask questions and took a look at the vents and filters indoors and they were clean. (replaced two months ago). Lowered the AC and took a look upstairs at the unit and everything was rock solid. Drain gets flushed every 6 months and we have never had any issues. Everything was solid and working correctly. We took a look at the outside and all the lines were within specs and no leaks detected. Subcool - 11 Degrees Temp Split 18 Degrees Evaporator Coil - Rinsed with hose and all good. System working properly and efficiently. read more

Scheduled an appointment and waited all morning. He said 8-12 window, "but probably closer to 9:30." I waited until noon and called. Owner (I think) said that they tried to call to confirm that morning "we always call to confirm" and we didn't answer so they didn't come. No record of calls at either number. Was that true? I couldn't find a record of any call. No voicemails, no missed calls. Owner did not seem to have any concern either. Just didn't show up. Not reliable. read more

My AC broke and I have extended warranty through Old Republic and they sent Arrow Service Center out to fix the AC. Jorge Rebeles was the technician that came and serviced my AC. I must say he was very knowledgeable when it came to resolving the issue. I appreciated the fact that he went over everything with me and told me what needed to be done to maintain my AC. CROOKS! FRAUD! Scammed me out of $800 by telling me that they were authorized to work on Sub-Zero (they are NOT!), then telling me that the board was bad on my ice maker and would have to be replaced in their shop. They kept my ice maker for 2 months, returned it and it still doesn't work. They ASSURED ME that my ice maker was not under warranty, but when I called Sub Zero and gave my serial number, it took one minute for the lady to tell me it was under full warranty. They took my $800, and now say that they don't work on Sub Zero any more and that I will have to call the company for help. They will not answer the phone. CRIMINALS!!!! read more

We recently moved into a new house and found our heat pump system not to be working. We had Arrow come out a few times to look at it, as the problem was complicated. In the end, it turned out a duct had been installed incorrectly by the original company, and Arrow fixed it right up. Each time the people they sent were friendly and detail-oriented, taking lots of time to investigate lots of different avenues. They even gave us pointers on how to install our second Nest thermostat. Would recommend them any time! read more

Well, they showed up pretty quickly in the evening for my tenant. They charged me $180 for more Freon and after hour charge and went on their merry way within 20 minutes. Next day AC still didn't work so I was able to get my regular guy out there. Valves were missing or not put back on or just bent. So he fixed that, added more Freon and got it working great. Don't hire these guys. You will just pay for emergency trip and zero help. read more

I am 37 weeks pregnant and with out a heater right now due to a bad installation job on my air handler/ heat pump (**not done by this company). I knew I just needed an electrician to fix the problem but the home warranty company wanted to have an HVAC guy come out to say that. Well these guys were assigned. They came out for the 2 minute call I knew it would be. One man was nice and the other was dry and not so nice. They said they would call the home warranty company as soon as they left so that I didn't have to withstand another day at 41 degrees in my house with my son and pregnant self. They did not call (per my insurance company) and when my home warranty co. called them (while I was on hold) they said that they had to wait till the tech got into the office in order to say we needed an electrician. I called them to see how long that would be and the guy at the office was INSANELY rude even after I explained my situation and hung up on me after I asked if they had anymore calls before they came back to the office. They just made hundreds off a 2 min emergency rated call and have zero care for the people who made that possible. This company needs to hire someone better to answer the phone and actually care about the clients they are making money off of. Update: I was called by a manager who seemed to be very upset about my reviews. Apparently the tech I called dry earlier (also the manager who called me) was on the phone with my insurance company (after a call they had) after my call. So I give credit there and would say that maybe the office guy should learn not to give out misinformation and do it so rudely. The "dry" tech from earlier (again, apparently also a manager the very one who called me to take down the review) had zero apology for his office guy. He proceeded to tell me that the guy said I was cussing and (IMO) that I deserved to be spoken to like that. That he (the manager) was "raised better than that" that "when women talk like that" he is supposed to "walk away". So as fast as I gave him credit there is that to consider as well. I told him I would edit the review to include an update but with out and apology from himself or the man that was rude (in the office) that I would not honor his desire of "I want them (the reviews) taken down." I was even nice enough to call him back after HE called upset the first time and I was in line at the store. He apparently called to harass my husband about the reviews after I had to let him go in the store line (with the promise to call back). I guess I just called him back so that I could be demeaned even more but by the manager/dry tech this time who decided he was going to make up his own truth about what happen. He claims that he is going to find a different was to pursue this now. Nice little threat there. I am not going to be bullied by someone who claims to be a manger and acts like this. I asked for a simple apology and couldn't even get that. Hope the stress from the harassing phone calls don't make me go into early labor! read more

This was the 2nd year in a row that one of our AC units went out. After using my insurance to start, as I had to, I called the folks at Arrow and just like last year they were out that afternoon and less than 48 hours I had the entire 4 ton downstairs unit completely changed out. I can not begin to express how blown away I am with Arrow Service Center's promptness and service. My AC went out today, over 100 outside and 83 degrees inside so I was frantically trying to find someone to get out here ASAP. They had a technician out here in about 25 minutes from the time I called, and he was able to replace the contactor in about 15 minutes and went ahead and cleaned my coils for me as a courtesy. In less than 1 hour of calling them I have AC again, and the price was very fair. They were able to use my debit card so I didn't have to run out and get cash. Highly recommend! read more

I had them come out to look at my Kenmore gas stove which the burners were not working. After the service person looked at it he said it would be $76. to repair and he would order the part. He came back out a week later and installed the part. When he gave me the bill it was for $212.. I said to him that was not what he had quoted. He said that the $76. was for the part only and that it did not include the labor. I reluctantly paid it and the more I thought about it it made me mad. I called the main office and they were very rude. I could not get anywhere with them. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company. I wish I had checked with the Better Business Bureau before using them, they have an "F" rating with them. read more

Liars!!! We had the tech Frank come to our house to work on our refrigerator. He looked lost and broke several things while troubleshooting. After almost an hour without doing any diagnostics he told me I had to replace a $831 part. So I called and talked with Jesse and asked what diagnostics would typically be done to troubleshoot the part Frank said was broken. I then informed him that none of that was done and he broke several things on my refrigerator while there. He then began to tell me that I was wrong. I watched several videos on YouTube and fixed it for $34 myself. They lied to me and if you are an unsuspecting customer they will try and take advantage of you. They didn't even offer to fix the parts the technician broke. read more

The decision to go with them was because an Amazon local deal for furnace tune-up. The tech came up to service 2 units. I had some rebates forms from Texas Gas Service and when I showed them to him he almost went bezerk. "We don't do those, we're not affiliated", etc. Well, it was just a matter of checking off some boxes of what TGS considers a tune-up and sign. He was adamant he wouldn't do them. So I put the papers aside and looked on while he worked up in the attic. Though he provided some helpful commentary and explanations on what he was doing, I'm not convinced it was as full service as I expected. Some items were reading or performing below the standard, needing a fix/replacement, while for one I was left without knowing whether the combustion was tested and/or how it performed. One unit had excessive temperature rise, which he immediately attributed to a clogged evaporator coil -- which is completely enclosed/sealed and can't be seen unless the ducts are cut open/removed! Plus I'm not sure about that since that coil had been serviced not too long ago. Anyhow, a search for this issue turned out several possible causes: (1) Undersized / insufficient ductwork, (2) a dirty furnace filter, (3) a clogged secondary heat exchanger, (4) a clogged evaporator coil, (5) or too many supply registers blocked off. At this point I'm suspecting (2), though we'll never know since that was not even mentioned, let alone inspected. Though the voucher listed test for carbon monoxide, inspect filters, test thermostat operation, test for gas leaks, test heat exchanger, evaluate proper combustion, inspect for duct work leaks, test temperature split, inspect electrical components, evaluate proper operation, and evaluate system performance. -- there were a few things that were not done. BTW, someone recommended hiring a service that uses an inspection camera. That way there's no question on the state of the various components that are out of view. Now I know better. read more

The service guy, Jorge, was courteous, kind, efficient and very patient with all the questions I had concerning my HVAC system. He explained how my system was designed and how it should function, something that the builders failed to do when I bought​ my condo five years ago. I purchased the one year plan and do not regret my decision. I think it might have been one of the best bargains​ I made this year. read more
