I had a semi-decent stay here. The room is clean and the hotel is located in a great area of Lexington next to a major shopping mecca. If you want to go to Lowe's, this is literally next door to it. I think my biggest and only complaint of the place was the noise. It can get a bit noisy due to paper-thin windows. I think some people would complain that this place is dated, but I do not mind dated hotels. I think it adds character and when I say dated - it is 1980s-ish. Customer service was solid. He was super nice and really accommodating to my needs - what needs I had - which weren't many. I am pretty easygoing to with 1 night states at places I book last minute such as this. read more

My wife and I recently stayed at this establishment and while our stay was cut short due to some equipment in the room being a little too loud, the management and staff were more than accommodating, and as friendly as they could be. Even though I booked the room for two days, when I had to leave early management was more than fair about it. The room was clean and spacious. The amenities were exceptional. This is a pleasant place. Not bad at all. It's old, but they keep it clean and in good repair. It was the cheapest place in town (besides the really shady places like a Red Roof inn), that's why I booked it. They have free coffee and doughnuts in the lobby in the morning starting at 7:00am. Very clean room,but: very noisy and people fighting and arguing outside. Take 8-10 swipes with room key to get lock to work on door, that's slightly irritating. If you like quiet then I wouldn't recommend this place. But if you have hearing aids you can take out then I would recommend it for the price is low. read more

This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I should have demanded a different room but I was so tired from my trip there. The door latch seemed loose and key card had to be re-made. The carpet and sink counter were dirty. There was writing on the bathroom wall as well as a big cockroach in the bathroom. The sheets were very old and rough. The bathroom tub faucet leaked. The coffee maker didnt work and the remote also was not working good. There was only 1 chair at the table. Not enough towels. The only thing good I can say is the Desk person was very friendly and the bathtub was clean. There was a robbery across the street at Arbys when we pulled up. Not going back. I can only speak from being here since Monday. But you honestly can't beat it here. My husband and I work night shifts everyone has left us alone. It's about time I start reviewing everything from my Kentucky trip that happened last fall, 2014! So why not start with where I stayed. It's not the fanciest, but it's right by Rite Aid and Starbucks which is big bonus. Every essential you need but forget is a block away and your morning coffee is at arm's reach. It is also very inexpensive, especially if you are sharing a room. I believe I paid around $300.00 for 7 days. That is really good. Unfortunately, house keeping only comes every 5 days if you are staying for a long time. I wouldn't have minded (I prefer this actually), but their trash cans are the tiniest things ever and no outside dumpster could be found. The room I stayed in had two full size beds, a large fridge, tv, good wifi, and a hair dryer. All very good things. It is also by the main road, but I sleep with air plugs when I travel, so I can't really tell you about the noise factor at night. However, judging from the amount of people and cars out late is rare, so I believe the noise factor is at a minimal, unless you have the misfortune of having noisy neighbors. They also offer continental breakfast in the morning. Overall I would not mind staying again. read more

The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the A/C didn't work quite as well as you would hope, but it's a decent basic place to stay and was clean enough. my wife & i stayed at this hotel (weekend of Fri.26.April.2016) we was from out of state due to a sister n law had complications day or two before she delivered her son, her son was delivered and he was healthy but sister n law developed heart problems, so we was called in by family and we used a app to find us a good hotel and this is the one it found us, the front desk staff was very helpful and kind, lobby was clean and spacious, we asked for a quiet area of hotel, the room was around back on second floor, had a great quiet view with porch, room was very clean, spacious and relaxing, this is hotel we for sure will return to. read more

He was absolutely not trying to have us, pretty sure discrimination was the reason why we got let down even after our booking was confirmed and paid for online. This is our 4th day at Bluegrass Extended Stay. It was great up til today. I booked the room on the app and paid for it on there also. When I rechecked the room key, I explained this to the attendent. However, she still charged my debit card again. Then she asked if I needed housekeeping services. I told her yes. Three hours later the housekeeper arrived at my door. Asked if I needed her services, I said yes. She walked away and I never seen her again. I'm so disappointed!! read more

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I needed a first floor room and they gave me the last one they had available. When I checked in today the lovely lady at the front desk was very helpful and informative. She told me to let her know if I needed anything, she was so genuine I truly believe she would take care of anything I needed. The room is very clean and nicely decorated. read more

Horrible. Room wasn't ready for hours after being told it would be (we arrived to town early in the morning) the manager "Sami" and staff were alll very rude and we ended up being told we weren't welcome and to calll the booking app to get our money back. Wouldn't waste my time on this dump. Wouldn't give it any stars but yelp wont let me post without giving it one. It doesn't even deserve that one. When trying to have a conversation with the manager he continued to cut me off and not let me speak and then told me all conversations over the phone and in the facility were recorded and he was going to play back his tapes to prove I was lying. Hotwire called ten minutes later to confirm the refund and he refused to answer the phone for them. Great choice in management! read more

Rooms appeared clean but were not very big. When I first checked in, I had to request for sheets to be changed due to poor cleaning prior to my check-in. The beds were full sized, accompanied with bed bugs. The kitchen consisted of a full sized refrigerator but lacked a stove top, something generally expected in an extended stay hotel. The bathroom was small but had consistent hot water and excellent water pressure. Wifi was hit or miss, either really fast or slow to the point where I had to use cellular data. The location was good, surrounded by grocery stores and fast food, and was very easy to navigate coming from the hotel. All in all, bed bugs, and overall cleanliness (or lack there-of) caused me to depart my extended stay after waking up with bites nearly every day. When I finally saw one on the bathroom tile, I could no longer brush it off as mosquitos. The cost of stay was decent but there are multiple other extended stay hotels to choose from, seemingly less likely to house bed bugs. read more

We stayed here recently for a half marathon in town and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel itself is pretty clean and quiet. There are a few restaurants and stores within walking distance which is really nice. The room was nice and cozy; although it did have a slight smell to it that is probably just from the cleaning products used (an air freshener cleaned that right up). We actually found that the mattress was a brand name memory foam mattress which was a really nice touch for a value hotel. Everything in the room worked well (microwave, fridge, television) and the staff was friendly. In the end, it was just what we needed. read more

This place was just dirty!! Stayed in a smoking room for 2 nights and the dirty nasty carpet ruined my socks by turning them fully black on the bottom & my white flip flops! When I got out of a shower and walked to my suitcase my feet wod be black again!! That's dirty! You would think they would scrub a smoking room carpet after each stay but the male manager told me that each room is only done once a month. That's not okay at all!!! The manager told me it was just dirty from people tracking in and out, I'm sorry but if that's the case, your maids are not doing their jobs very well on a daily bases! He kept asking "so it will ruin my shoes?!" Yes sir it will ruin your shoes! That's how dirty those rooms are! The manager was rude & didn't care about pleasing his customers, he cursed at me when I said I wanted to stay elsewhere! That's not how a manager should handle this. Just scrub your carpet! I came to extended stay America & again it's a weekend so I'm in a smoking room due to not having many rooms left but my feet are still clean & not sticking to the floor! It's a great feeling to be in a clean room when your away from home. The extended stay America hotel is $7 more for a queen size bed, full kitchen ( not just a microwave), a big screen tv & clean rooms with friendly staff!! So happy I left bluegrass!! read more
