We were in town for an industry Christmas Party at the hotel. We were in one of the banquet halls and had our own bartender and a buffet dinner. The hotel is older, but everything looks nice. Our room was spacious and the bathroom has been updated. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking Triangle Park. We ordered late night room service and had the Buffalo Wings and Hummus Platter. I was attending a National Conference and this hotel is connected to the venue convention Center so it was an obvious choice. I do want to note that though the Hotel and Conference Center are connected it is a very, very long walk between them. If you have mobility issues, you'll definitely need a wheelchair When we first arrived, the concierge didn't have any carts available and we were on the 11th floor with many bags. After a bit of waiting (following an 8-hour Drive) they finally found a cart for us and helped us to our room. The self parking is right across the street and very convenient The rooms are decent sized and clean. One nice surprise was that the refrigerator in the room has a clear door so you can see what's in there. It reminded me of a wine chiller and gave the room an elegant feel. However there was one major item missing in the room - no microwave. When I'm traveling, I frequently have leftovers from a meal out that I want to heat up later, so a microwave is close to being an essential. Frankly I can't recall the last time I was in a hotel that didn't have the microwave in the room. They have one restaurant for the entire Hotel and the one time we wanted to eat, it was closed. There are no decent restaurants nearby so we had to eat at a sports bar across the street. We did order room service one time and it came up promptly. The prices were not bad and the food was pretty good. The TV reception which is frequently a problem in hotels was very good at the Hyatt and they had a decent selection of options for the channels but you had to search for an online channel guide because they didn't have a printed one in the room. The shower stall is huge and has a beautiful full-length glass door but the water pressure is only so-so. The last day of our stay, I had to wait 4 or 5 minutes for hot water which was very disappointing. All in all, my first stay here was okay but I expected far more from a Hyatt Regency. If it were not attached to Lexington's main Conference Center, I would probably look for another option next visit. read more

I and a friend stayed at this facility in Mid-March 2026. I will start with the positive; the restaurant/bar was lovely, unfortunately there were no patrons other than me and my friend at that time, around 5:00. That included behind the bar. This space is not being marketed at all, in my opinion. This is a missed opportunity. The hotel needs a complete overhaul and refresh. I have attached some pictures for reference. The public spaces look worn out. There was no valet immediately upon parking. My other party was on a walker and the automatic handicapped door did not work completely.We had to request valet parking at the front desk. I chose this hotel because it was connected to Rupp Arena and we came to Lexington for a concert. The convenience of this location is well with it. They have self parking or valet parking options. We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to or take a very short Uber ride (to the James Pepper Distillery). We were only 2 blocks from the farmers market, next to triangle park and a ton a of great restaurants. The ease of getting in the arena from the hotel was fantastic. The bathrooms in the rooms were a bit cramped and not well laid out, but overall, the rooms were good. read more

Positive- location to Rupp. Negative- Checked in and the heater would not blow warm air. After getting engineering to take a look and fix it , the heater either had to be on 78 and make the room about 80 plus or off and make the room freezing cold. During checkout I shared this and was informed the that is normal. The cleanliness of the room made it questionable if the bed sheets had been changed. Also beware of the shower head so it doesn't fall off and knock you out! Distance walking to shops like boutiques is very limited. Was hoping for better for the price. read more

This place was disgusting: room 910 had mold, dirty handprints on headboard, stained sheets, bodily fluid on chairs, totally clogged shower, stained and ripped wall paper with tape holding it up. Horrid like a cheap motel with a high price. Even though it's close to Rupp go stay someplace else!! read more

Pretty standard stay. We stayed here for two nights because we were in town for a wedding I was in. So I was really there to sleep and not much else. The rooms are a bit dated but they are clean and spacious enough. It's also within walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. For those in town for a sporting event/concert, Rupp Arena is right across the street. read more

Stayed a night here over the weekend with Rev Rally. Everyone was super nice and excited to see the rally group here. Couldn't even explain the amount of people who stopped by just to check out the cars. Rooms were great and the hotel was peaceful. If I could I would give zero stars! We will never stay at this hotel ever again!!! We prepaid for our stay before even arriving & stayed two nights. However, four days later we were still being charged multiples amounts on our card on different days which seems extremely suspicious! I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you want to deal with multiple card charges. Also their customer service is of ZERO HELP in resolving this matter! There wasn't a manager on staff when we had questions about the first two amounts that were charged to our card before we even left. First we were told a manager would be there at 7am however when we went back down after 7am we were then told by a different employee that there was no manager on Sundays. When we arrived we also witnessed a Hyatt employee being extremely rude to a disabled person trying to inquire about getting a handicapped room. The parking is atrocious! I understand this business being downtown so parking is limited - however the parking lot is extremely far away. And we had to take a ticket every time we went into the parking lot, seems like it would be more functional to allow your room key to activate the parking booth to enter and exit parking lot - just a friendly thought because other places do that with ease. I do not recommend this business! Don't deal with the headache of dealing with this place. read more

Pricey. But clean. Friendly staff. I was sick (not with Covid). And I was able to do what I needed to do in the bathroom in a clean environment. I DO have to say I nicknamed this hotel "the water hotel." The water faucet on the sink is too short. And you have to hit the back of the sink with your hands in order to use it. Why do sink designers design them that way? Rinsing off my washcloth meant I had to flood the counter behind the sink. I finally gave up, so went to try the bathtub faucet. It was STUCK, so I got a head full of cold water from the shower. I couldn't pull the lever to get it to switch to just bath filling. It was stuck on shower. After that, my own fault, my drinking water jug spigot broke and dumped water all over the bathroom floor. Water everywhere. After I got sick in the bathroom, I was able to clean it all up with the washcloth and soap bar, thank goodness. The lamps were nice. The bed was fine. I was sick so I didn't sleep long. My kids slept fine. The breakfast buffet's cost is epic. We didn't do that. Way too expensive. Ridiculous. Who comes up with the idea that anyone wants an enormous gourmet meal buffet for breakfast? They should copy what the Drury does - decent breakfast choices, cost included in the room. Great town. We didn't stop and see anything. But the town was adorable as we drove away in the morning. read more

We had such a wonderful weekend staying here. We were in town for the KY basketball game on New Year's Eve ans this was the perfect location. They offer ballet service for your car! We pulled up and unpacked the car and went inside and it was the perfect location. The hotel is attached to the Rupp arena where the game was played. They had a great restaurant where we had breakfast They had a buffet or order from the menu. Great service. After the game we came back to the hotel and watched the bowl games down at the bar and had appetizers and cocktails. We will stay here again. read more

Another great experience staying at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington. I love this place from the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the hotel to the comfortability of a nice room with great view of the town. A lot off historic places in the surrounding area that makes your walk a little more pleasant. You have Lexington Live across the street and the Rupp Arena right next to you, which both convenient. If you're in the mood to watch a movie, bowl, play games or just enjoy a drink is simply within a few feet of the hotel. If you're ready to watch a sport game or any live event at the Rupp Arena is connect by a walk tunnel that simply makes it so convenient. This hotel I highly recommend staying or at least give it try. I'm the type of guy who loves a good bar, and you won't be disappointed, plenty to choose from within the hotel. read more

Came to Lexington on business for two nights. I called the hotel for the shuttle just after landing and it pulled up outside baggage claim shortly after I came outside. The shuttle driver was very friendly. Check in was a breeze and I was quickly on the way to my room. The young lady at the front desk was super friendly and answered questions I had about the area. She was helpful and informative and it was obvious she enjoys what she does. My room was spacious and clean. The beds have lots of pillows and the temperature can be self regulated. The bathroom is small but totally adequate. I love the toiletries that are provided. The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants around. It's a vibrant downtown area so there is plenty to do. I would have no hesitation about staying here again in the future. read more

The Hyatt definitely fits the bill of a regular corporate hotel. Nothing about it particularly exceeds standards or pushes boundaries. You have walking access to several nearby bars, restaurants, and an entertainment complex. Service staff were great! It's clean, it's simple, and it works. A few nit-picks: - The in bedroom mini-fridges are quite loud. Get used to the hum or unplug it. - The soundproofing in these rooms is quite good with the exception of the door. You won't hear anything a room over, you'll hear everything in the hallway. read more

Health and safety risk!! We booked 2 rooms. Aside for them changing one of our rooms to a king size room and charging us more without our knowledge they also left us with less places to sleep for our family even with me booking the rooms months in advanced to ensure we had the room and spaced our family required. Further more there were dead bugs on the floor, the mold and mildew on the ceiling, black mold in the shower, so much dust in the vents that we began experiencing health issues and the dust was hanging out of the vents themselves, a broken handle in the shower that fell on my daughter's head. The hot and cold water were mislabeled. As soon as you turned on the cold water it was scorching hot and as soon as you turned on the hot water it was freezing. This place is a massive lawsuit waiting to happen! read more

Beautiful hotel conveniently located next to Rupp arena and across the street from LexLive. You're about a 1/2 mile walk to local restaurants and a Target. The check in process was quick and easy. They have a beautiful restaurant/bar area although we didn't eat or drink there during this visit. Our room was spotless. The price was just right for us to spend the night while passing through Lexington. My ONLY complaint (and it's very minor) is that the parking lot is located across the street. Thankfully we didn't have much luggage to deal with AND it wasn't raining. Otherwise it would have been a much more frustrating check in experience. read more

The hotel itself is great, along with the restaurants that surround it. However, I stayed here for about 10 days and didn't have a rewards account set up initially. I was told that I could set one up during my stay and earn points from the long duration of my stay. This was NOT the case. I didn't earn one point from my 10 day stay. I contacted customer service, and they hung up on me! If they had better policies and kinder management, this place would be a 5/5, but unfortunately, they are truly lacking in areas where it counts. read more

My husband and I were in town for a music festival and chose this hotel on its proximity to downtown as well as the free parking and reasonable rates. Our room was 810 which gave you a good view of DT area/Triangle Park. You also got a view of the construction zone which made me nervous about potential noise but, since we stayed Fri-Sunday, I only saw them working Monday morning and I didn't hear any construction sounds from inside my room so all is good on that front! Bed was comfy enough, just a little too soft for our tastes. No tub, just a modern type shower but very nice water pressure. With Covid, they aren't cleaning the rooms daily but just let them know what you need (I.e., towels, more k-cups, toiletries) and they are more than happy to oblige. The free parking is across the street in an unmanned lot. It could be a little sketchy because there's no security but we had no issues and parked our car there the entire visit. Close to lots of restaurants and bars and places of interest. I was happy with my choice of hotel and have no complaints. We never ate in the hotel so I can't say how their food or restaurant fares. Oh another thing is that for whatever reason, in the wee hours of the morning (like 2-3am), every day we would hear cars outside who sounded like they were street racing or probably just going fast. I thought that was interesting and it may keep someone whose more sensitive to sound from being able to sleep. read more

I've stayed at the Hyatt Regency several times over the years. The location is perfect if you have business in downtown Lexington. The Hyatt is attached to Rupp Arena and the Lexington Convention Center - so it's incredibly convenient if you are in town for events. There's a restaurant and bar in the lobby. There's a really nice sitting area with big screen TVs, couches, and a fire place. During the day, you have easy access to the food court, shops, and bars that are in the Convention Center. The rooms are pretty standard. The bathroom is very small and you can't access the shower from the outside - meaning that you have to get inside to turn it on. That's a pain because being blasted with cold water is never fun. There's a huge ring light around the mirror that gives me life. It will make you feel like you have a filter on your face. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy lighting in the morning because each morning that we stayed here the electricity in the bathroom went out! It obviously threw a breaker both times because even the outlets weren't operating. It's beyond obnoxious when you have people trying to get ready and the bathroom has zero power. Staying at the Hyatt is completely worth the short comings if you want to have easy access to the Convention Center, Rupp, or other things downtown. If you're just looking for a hotel for a stay in Lexington - look elsewhere. read more

You might choose a hotel based on their reputation, or based on the amenities listed on the website. ...I should have known by the reviews, what I was walking into- this Hyatt Regency has lost it's way. I have never written a one star review- ever. ...but there is a first time for everything This Hyatt is very well placed in the heart of downtown Lex. If you love walking, restaurants, history- this is a great place. It's near meany things both new and old. However, if you have a sensitive respiratory system, hate bedbugs, like to sleep in a cool, clean hotel room- just skip this place. Hopefully, they'll take some time to improve things and get back on the regular cleaning and maintenance schedule. However, right now as of June 2021- this is not your home away from home. read more

Came to town for my Aunts funeral. She was old school, full of grace, a queen of Lexington and tried to enjoy the finer points of life. Just like where I stayed. It was a bit dated but in a good established way waiting for a renewal. The room was spacious and the tub in the bathroom was a throwback. Would definitely stay here any time in town. I give your hotel a one star review. The construction crew right outside my door after a all night flight is exactly what I was hoping for. You're front desk moved us of course but there's another construction crew down the hall. Idk what really just sells this place, whether it's the front desk not telling us to use our key card to use the elevator, the construction, the fact my niece and nephew can't take a bath now because our new rooms have showers and no tub, or the "blackout curtains" let in so much light it's basically day in here. read more

We were fortunate that this hotel had a special rate even during a graduation season and as such we chose this hotel. We were very glad that we did because the rooms and amenities were pristine. Their workout room was always clean and the rooms/room service was top notch. The hotel was located attached to Rupp arena and there are many restaurants/bars in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel if you can get a good rate. My only complaint with this hotel is that the restaurant located indoors is not very good. read more

For being the Hyatt Regency, in downtown Lexington, at $250 a night, I would've expected a lot more. What we decided was that this was the quality of any Red Roof Inn, and the price tag of a Hampton Inn. Though the room was relatively clean, and all the comments about the noise we didn't experience, even though there was overnight construction outside, and a concert one night. However, there was nothing special about staying here at all. Best thing about our stay here is that the bed was comfortable. When I say relatively clean, that's excluding the stains on the carpet, which looked like blood drops, there was a pinkish mold or mildew in the bathroom, and mold on the bottom of the bathroom door. We've stayed at many hotels at this price and have always had robes in the room, room service left new towels if we left them on the floor instead of hanging on a hook, information in the room of local attractions or recommendations for dining and the like. Room service didn't even leave new shampoo, conditioner and body wash. And there was no information about checking out other than during our last night they slid a bill under the door. It just seemed like this should've been priced a lot lower for the quality of our stay. For just a few dollars more we could've stayed at the Kentucky Castle. If we were ever to come back to Lexington, this will be the emergency backup in case there's nothing left in town. read more

For being a luxury hotel, I am not impressed. No microwave in room. No luggage rack thing in the room. Room overlooking restaurant is very noisy , and the blinds don't close completely so I feel someone could see in if they tried. Ike how they give your ear plugs! Like saying our walls are paper thin so here ya go. But they only give you one set, when there are 2 people in the room. The light in the bathroom is super bright. For the amount of money this room costs it's NOT A Luxury feeling. Just a plane Jane smallish room, For 200.00 a night I expect a better room and restaurant. read more

I had a room on a higher floor that overlooked the park, which is super cute at Christmas time. Staff are accommodating. It would have been nice to have a binder or something in the room that detailed amenities like the pool and bar, or locations of said amenities. Breakfast buffet is likely the highest quality buffet I've experienced at a hotel. Free self parking. read more

First time staying in the Hyatt in Lex but have been through the lobby area multiple times for UK ball games and events at Rupp. Very satisfied with my Room and check in process. Parking was across the street in the Rupp lot, free, and the check in was quick and easy beings I made the reservations about 15mins before I checked in via Expedia. Room was clean, with obvious signs of a good sanitization prior to my arrival and the bathroom was beyond nice. Shower was very nice. Bed slept very well, so well I almost overslept the next day. Best part was I had a room overlooking Triangle park. Rupp is practically being torn apart right now and my room butted right up against the construction but I never once heard anything, not even in the lobby- mind you they have literally torn down Lex Convention Center! It's a big hole in the ground! Fantastic experience, will most certainly be back. 5/5 read more

A few of the top items I try to check off my list when booking a work travel hotel (in no particular order): 1.) location (which then implies walkability, parking expenses, access to coffee shops, etc.); 2.) does it have a pool? Yup, I totally get my rocks off on a quick morning geriatric-style Pilates pool experience. The earlier, the better. I want the pool to myself.; 3.) price (is this a good value for my company/what are the ratings?); 4.) cleanliness (back to the ratings); I've found bed bugs before and it's the worsssstttt. This Hyatt Regency fit the bill on all accounts. The only two complaints would be the weird parking situation which was across the street in this funny isolated parking lot. The second complaint would be that you have tote all the way around the edge of the restaurant and bar to get to the pool. It's an odd route given one person is trying to enjoy their meal and the other has wet hair, a towel and flip flops. Not a huge deal but it seems like a design afterthought. read more

I checked in on January 05 at approximately 8 pm. When I first arrived at Valet I was greeted by the nicest smiles and friendly faces, that did not stop as I walked into check in. I wish I would have caught their names, a gray haired lady with glass and a girl with black earrings, were there with the warmest welcome! They were super friendly and polite. I had a great time bantering with them at check in. The room was nice and clean and we had a park view. We enjoyed the pool later in the evening and it was peaceful. The fitness center was well appointed. Upon check out we were greeted by Peter who was very polite and friendly. I personally could not have ask for better staff than what the Hyatt had on Friday night. The 3 of them should be recognized for their exceptional customer service. read more

Was in Lexington for a wedding and this was one of two hotels that we had blocks in. The location is amazing, pretty central to everything and right at the Rupp Arena (in fact, they're attached). The room was big, the bathroom was nice, there's a bar/restaurant on the first floor, as well as a gym and pool! I was at that gym 3x during my stay, and it was never too busy. In fact, I had it to my self a few times. They have a dual cable machine, a single adjustable bench, and dumbbells going up to 50lbs or so. They provide towels and there's a water cooler. As far as hotel gyms go, not bad at all. My main complaints about this hotel: 1) I called a week before to arrange a hotel shuttle from the airport. They told me to just call back the day of when I land. Simple enough. But their whole automated phone system is STUPID. Takes forever and the options are confusing (it keeps asking for an extension). And when I got through, nobody picked up, and I had to call back about 4-5x while I was at the airport. Thankfully, getting the free shuttle back to the airport was painless (just tell them your name and what time and they'll arrange it for you). 2) The room's seen better days. Kinda dusty in some parts, and some of the fixtures in the bathroom (like the faucets) looked like they were coming out of the wall. The "smart" TV was incredibly dumb. It would start up on random screens or the home screen for the hotel, where most of the buttons didn't work. And the remote was very unresponsive, making the whole experience annoying. 3) They don't provide you with any amenities, but will provide them to you if you call down to reception. I figured they'd leave slippers, toothpaste, etc. in the room, but I had to call them. I gave them a list of about 10 things, and they said they'd send housekeeping. 15 minutes later, I get a knock on my door, and one lady on the staff gives me one of my 10 items. Then 5 minutes later, she apologizes and gives me another one. This happened 3-4 times, and by the end of it, I only had about 75% of what I asked for, but luckily it was the major things. Other than that, you can't beat the convenience and the location! read more

The Hyatt Regency Lexington is perfectly located for almost any event or occasion in the Lexington area. From a University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball game in co-located Rupp Arena to catching a shuttle in front of the hotel to Commonwealth Stadium to heading out for a night of horse racing at Keeneland, the Hyatt Lexington is your perfect base of operations. The rooms are clean and spacious, and come with a mini fridge and a hot beverage machine. A large flatscreen television is standard in each room. My rooms have had plenty of electrical and USB outlets near the nightstand and desk area. The front desk staff and the bell staff are friendly and attentive. The lobby bar and restaurant staff seemed to frequently be in a bit of a rush and prone to ignore some customers, but I guess it can become really crazy there on game and event nights. With Rupp Arena being across from the hotel lobby, Kentucky Wildcats basketball games, ESPN and local game coverage bring an almost carnival-like atmosphere to the hotel. During business hours the boutique shops and food court can supply many needs and travel necessities. There's even a store that sells spirits to get you going!!! There are a number of great and interesting dining and shopping places within walking distance of the hotel. An Uber is usually within five minutes or less, and there's also public transportation that stops very close to the hotel. The only shortcoming is the lack of a parking deck for complimentary parking. The parking lot is located directly across the street and there is a traffic light and crosswalk to make the short walk a safe walk. I look forward to visiting the Hyatt Lexington again in the future. read more
