I and a friend stayed at this facility in Mid-March 2026. I will start with the positive; the restaurant/bar was lovely, unfortunately there were no patrons other than me and my friend at that time, around 5:00. That included behind the bar. This space is not being marketed at all, in my opinion. This is a missed opportunity. The hotel needs a complete overhaul and refresh. I have attached some pictures for reference. The public spaces look worn out. There was no valet immediately upon parking. My other party was on a walker and the automatic handicapped door did not work completely. We had to request valet parking at the front desk. Ultimately someone from the administration office assisted us (lovely lady and much appreciated). Good service is an expectation on a Monday, as well as on game day.

I chose this hotel because it was connected to Rupp Arena and we came to Lexington for a concert. The convenience of this location is well with it. They have self parking or valet parking options. We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to or take a very short Uber ride (to the James Pepper Distillery). We were only 2 blocks from the farmers market, next to triangle park and a ton a of great restaurants. The ease of getting in the arena from the hotel was fantastic. The bathrooms in the rooms were a bit cramped and not well laid out, but overall, the rooms were good.

Another great experience staying at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington. I love this place from the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the hotel to the comfortability of a nice room with great view of the town. A lot off historic places in the surrounding area that makes your walk a little more pleasant. You have Lexington Live across the street and the Rupp Arena right next to you, which both convenient. If you're in the mood to watch a movie, bowl, play games or just enjoy a drink is simply within a few feet of the hotel. If you're ready to watch a sport game or any live event at the Rupp Arena is connect by a walk tunnel that simply makes it so convenient. This hotel I highly recommend staying or at least give it try. I'm the type of guy who loves a good bar, and you won't be disappointed, plenty to choose from within the hotel.

Surprise need for feminine supplies - asked the front desk if they have a tampon and I was presented with this delightfully discreet bag that had a maxi pad & two tampons in it! It was the most respectful and classy exchange of period supplies I have experienced!

Pretty standard stay. We stayed here for two nights because we were in town for a wedding I was in. So I was really there to sleep and not much else. The rooms are a bit dated but they are clean and spacious enough. It's also within walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. For those in town for a sporting event/concert, Rupp Arena is right across the street.

Stayed a night here over the weekend with Rev Rally. Everyone was super nice and excited to see the rally group here. Couldn't even explain the amount of people who stopped by just to check out the cars. Rooms were great and the hotel was peaceful. I even was overlooking the dining/bar area from my room and was pleased.

Pricey. But clean. Friendly staff. I was sick (not with Covid). And I was able to do what I needed to do in the bathroom in a clean environment. I DO have to say I nicknamed this hotel "the water hotel." The water faucet on the sink is too short. And you have to hit the back of the sink with your hands in order to use it. Why do sink designers design them that way? Rinsing off my washcloth meant I had to flood the counter behind the sink. I finally gave up, so went to try the bathtub faucet. It was STUCK, so I got a head full of cold water from the shower. I couldn't pull the lever to get it to switch to just bath filling. It was stuck on shower. After that, my own fault, my drinking water jug spigot broke and dumped water all over the bathroom floor. Water everywhere. After I got sick in the bathroom, I was able to clean it all up with the washcloth and soap bar, thank goodness. The lamps were nice. The bed was fine. I was sick so I didn't sleep long. My kids slept fine. The breakfast buffet's cost is epic. We didn't do that. Way too expensive. Ridiculous. Who comes up with the idea that anyone wants an enormous gourmet meal buffet for breakfast? They should copy what the Drury does - decent breakfast choices, cost included in the room. Great town. We didn't stop and see anything. But the town was adorable as we drove away in the morning.

We had such a wonderful weekend staying here. We were in town for the KY basketball game on New Year's Eve ans this was the perfect location. They offer ballet service for your car! We pulled up and unpacked the car and went inside and it was the perfect location. The hotel is attached to the Rupp arena where the game was played. They had a great restaurant where we had breakfast They had a buffet or order from the menu. Great service. After the game we came back to the hotel and watched the bowl games down at the bar and had appetizers and cocktails. We will stay here again.

Came to Lexington on business for two nights. I called the hotel for the shuttle just after landing and it pulled up outside baggage claim shortly after I came outside. The shuttle driver was very friendly. Check in was a breeze and I was quickly on the way to my room. The young lady at the front desk was super friendly and answered questions I had about the area. She was helpful and informative and it was obvious she enjoys what she does. My room was spacious and clean. The beds have lots of pillows and the temperature can be self regulated. The bathroom is small but totally adequate. I love the toiletries that are provided. The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants around. It's a vibrant downtown area so there is plenty to do. I would have no hesitation about staying here again in the future.

On this occasion we arrived around 845-9 pm on Friday 8/29/26. As I entered loaded down with luggage the person behind the counter (BRIAN) says can I help you (as if it wasn't obvious that I was checking in) ... I said I am checking in. He said photo ID please (no welcome of any kind). I am tired and I think okay maybe BRIAN had a bad day. He looks at my ID and hands me the keys. He points to the elevators and says not the parking elevator the other side. No other words were spoken. We go to our room. We were given an accessible room - these rooms have a tub and a plastic shower curtain and are simply terrible (we had this room type once before at this property). So I go back down and explain to BRIAN that we would prefer another room that is not an accessible room. He was very rude and said they did not have any other rooms and if I didn't like the room he could cancel the reservation. I had just booked the room online and I knew they had multiple room choices. I said you have no other rooms? He said I can check but I do not think so. He typed and typed and finally said no I don't have another king. Only a queen. I had by that time pulled it up online on the website where it showed that they did indeed have multiple king options. I showed him and he then said the app is not correct. I said I'm not on the app I'm on your website. He then proceeds to tell me to hold on and he typed something on his keyboard and then turned his screen to show me it said no availability (he obviously could have typed anything in there). They had multiple king choices online. I'm tired and don't have the energy to ask for a manger so I said ok we will take the queen room and we did. All along this man was very short and simply rude. I asked his name and looked over to his name tag to verify when he said BRIAN. I said thanks I wanted to make sure I got that right. At this point I'm sure he knew I would be writing this review so he grabbed two coupons for free breakfast. My husband walks over at this point too. I took my new keys and I left his breakfast coupons. This man should not be working at the front of any business where people should feel welcome. We own multiple businesses and I would want to know if I had an employee that would treat a customer in such a rude and unprofessional manner. I hope that someone will take the time to read this and also look back at the camera footage (hopefully with audio) from my experience and see that this occurred just as I described. There were other available king rooms and this man was disgustingly rude. This hotel has also gone downhill with cleanliness and is overall looking rundown. We stayed the next night in Lexington KY yet we moved to the 21c where we were greeted upon entry and were upgraded to a suite!

I've stayed at a few boutique/privately owned hotels before, and I will say, I've always been concerned about lack of security. I liked the fact that you needed a key card to get to the actual hotel portion of this hotel, which made me feel better about my safety, but will say I didn't see anyone at the desk when I left early in the morning (around 6am) on my departure date. My room was super spacious. I had a corner room that had two separate rooms, one included a sofa and sitting room with a TV, bathroom, and wetbar, which included a microwave and refrigerator, which was a nice touch. I also had a separate bedroom with a large king bed. Why the four stars? Temperature wise, it didn't seem like the thermostat worked well. When I adjusted it, it would go back to the original temp, so it made the room either too cold or too warm at times. The second thing that I docked a star for was I was on the third floor and when I arrived on the third floor, I got a whiff of cigarettes. I never saw anyone on this floor, so I don't know if it was actually someone, or it was embedded in the carpet. The good thing is the smell was NOT in the room, so that was a positive. I wish the bed had been a tad more comfortable, but if you like a firm mattress, they have the bed for you. Beware, this hotel is near a local hospital, so you may need to bring a sound machine to drown out the siren noises.

Hilton Honors member, I look for Hilton brand hotels first. When the Campbell House popped up, it looked fun and nice and really representative of what you expect for Lexington. As part of the Hilton app, you can check in early online, which I did. It asks you next what time do you expect to arrive. As we were driving 13.5 hours, I checked "after 10pm" which was the latest time option. We ended up arriving close to midnight. We were tired, hungry, and just overall beat. Restaurants in the area (including the hotel restaurant) were all closed except for fast food. Fortunately we had brought food with us. At check in, I asked about the room having a small fridge and if it had a microwave? They said it likely had a fridge but the microwave would probably be the one in the lobby where they sell snacks. After finding our room, we realized we were SO FAR AWAY from the lobby microwave and there was also no mini fridge in the room. To be fair, they don't advertise fridges being in the rooms, but it almost seems like a staple nowadays. I stayed in a Holiday Inn the night before that had a fridge. Is it too much to expect a Hilton Curio Collection to have a fridge? Long story shorter, the elevator had a flashing red light on the button that made the safety of it seem sketch, the microwave in the sundries room was small and not cleaned - had to ask them to clean it before I could heat up food. Was so far away from the room that by the time you heat your food and hoof up 3 flights of stairs to avoid getting stuck in the elevator, your food is cold by the time you reach your room. One of the front desk staff seemed rather argumentative and not really customer service oriented. Not sure if she was a manager or not but she acted like one. Not exactly the kind of person you want to deal with at midnight after 13.5 hours of driving. I did speak to the manager in the morning about everything, and she was understanding and nice enough to take our breakfast off the bill. She did mention that you do have to request in advance if you want a microwave/fridge in your room, and told me they could have given it to me that morning, but that doesn't help me when I am there for 1 night and about to check out. She said there is no one working housekeeping to bring it so late at night. I told her I wish I would have known that in order to request it in advance, and since the Hilton app asks what time I am arriving, maybe they could have offered that when they saw my anticipated arrival. The room was nice otherwise and the hotel does look nice and renovated. I appreciated the effort to comp the breakfast but still expected more overall from Hilton Curio.

Well I wasn't surprised when I logged in and saw the Campbell House was averaging below 3 stars…read more To be fair, I had a good experience with my room, while dated, it was comfortable and has charm. A beautiful downtown oasis. The hotel reception staff were super helpful and provided excellent customer service. The restaurant provided a decent experience and meal. I would eaten there again for the convenience, but now I will never stay at the hotel again. With this as the context for my stay, I was very surprised when I got my bill which included food charges that had already been charged to my credit card. So I made a call to correct what I assumed was an honest mistake and got nothing but the run around. In short, rather than take the approach that they had a problem that they needed to address, I got ignored and when I pressed them they wanted me to produce records that they should have already had and with a small effort been able to determine what went wrong. After Hilton failed to assist, I filed a police report on principle knowing I would never get resolution. At this writing I am still suspicious that it might have been more than a mistake and someone from that restaurant committed fraud. I may just be incompetence or a disregard for customer service. But it will never happen to me again.
