If you are looking to stay at a second to none hotel in Lexington, book your reservation here. Our flight got us in early and we were able to check into our room a few hours before general check-in, which we appreciated. The front desk staff was very courtious and made sure we knew where everything was and what some of their premiere amenities were. There was a rooftop restaurant we weren't able to take advantage of, but hopefully next time. The room was spotless clean. The beds were very comfortable. The shower is amazing and enjoyed the provided shower gel and shampoo. The room is pricey but the hotel is one of the closest you can walk to campus (15 minute walk or so). I'll be staying again next time I fly into Lexington. read more

Very clean Marriott located in the heart of Lexington. We could walk to everything. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The price was very reasonable given the location and comparably priced. There are plenty of bars and restaurants located within walking distance, including Jeff Ruby's right next door. They offer valet or self parking, and the self parking is located in an underground garage (very convenient). We will absolutely stay here again. read more

Recently came to Lexington for work meetings and stayed here. This is a big, nicely decorated and furnished Marriott in the center of downtown Lexington. The staff was friendly, especially the valets. Checking in was handled nicely too. The rooms were a newer design which is done beautifully! The rooms are kept nicely cleaned by the housekeeping staff too. Bed was comfy and the TV worked fine. They have an M Club on the main level, which was decent, but not one of the better ones I've been to. Coffee machine had issues and the coffee urn was empty after breakfast time. The food selection was mostly fried and wimpy (fried and sat out too long), thus not very good. The main restaurant is in the middle of the lobby and it's a completely open (open on 3 sides) kitchen, which was really wild! There's a bar in the lobby and that was nicely staffed as well. Definitely an excellent stay was had here... I'd most definitely return! read more

Let me begin by saying I can only speak about the dining area as you enter from the street level. We've had the breakfast twice now and it just doesn't disappoint. The buffet has a variety of things such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancake casserole, potato casserole , fresh fruit, oatmeal, a variety of cold cereal, bagels, bread and some small pastry. You can also order something to be made such as an omelette or Belgian waffles which is what I had . So good! The two breakfast attendants couldn't be any nicer than they are . They came by to check on us one more than once and refilled our coffee (the coffee is really good as well). There's plenty of tables to choose from and you can sit outside on their patio if you wish . I believe the breakfast buffet is 20.00 and includes coffee and juice . read more

Titanium Elite here: we LOVED this property! We stayed on the Marriott side in a spacious room. Brandon helped us with our luggage to the room, and Mr. Bartender (I cannot remember his name ) created some delish concoctions and the bar was well stocked. The lobby was spacious and clean, and the buffet breakfast had several options and was yummy. AND-the shampoo and conditioner were actually quality!! We booked a room in december only to find out that the sales director canceled my reservation and failed to notify me. When we arrived on May 31st we learned our reservation was canceled. My wife and I needed a night out away from the kids, so we opted for a staycation in the presidential suite. I'm a titanium elite Bonvoy and stay in a lot of hotels. This hotel is outstanding. The staff were over-the-top courteous and generous. From the front desk to the wait staff to the bartender, they all worked hard on the customer experience and commented on how much they felt appreciated by hotel management. Location is the best in Lexington. It's proximity to Rupp and downtown entertainment, bars and restaurants and historical sites makes it ideal to experience the city with minimal car travel. View from the presidential suite is the best cityscape view in Lexington. Decor is tastefully done. Peloton bikes in the gym are awesome. Really is the best hotel gym I've experienced. Breakfast in the M club was a nice fresh spread. Infinity Restaurant was a great option for dinner before the night out. Drinks at the bar were great. This is my only hotel review because it was the only one I've had worth raving about. read more

M lounge had limited food but was new with great Starbucks machine and steam LG clothes press. Your pants will be crisp pressed for the return from pandemic meeting. Everything is back to normal here, no pandemic, business resumed except staff and breakfast. Short of both. Garage underground parking. Walkable location to restaurants. I could never stay here again. I booked through Priceline and then Marriott billed me an additional room through my card THAT I NEVER GAVE THEM. the front desk agent was too busy flirting with a customer and distracted to find my reservation. She had to have her manager find it. Then she got flustered again and couldn't even give us both keys. She could only get 1 key registered and told us to come back later. She also told us kids 5 and under were free buffet breakfast. That was also wrong when we got to breakfast we got charged for my 5 year olds meal. I had to speak to accountant to get reimbursed for the room fee. And said WHOOPS It shouldn't have happened. A whoops on using my credit that I never gave to the front desk shouldn't have ever happened. Terrible service to fix an issue. read more

This hotel is great for downtown Lexington. I am not sure why the prior reviews were so bad, but agree they have some staffing issues. We decided to stay here instead of the more dated Griffin Gate on a college tour. First, it's new and very well done. Second, the rooms are comfortable and like an upgraded version of the AC with light!!. They have a M Club for elite members that offers a full breakfast, comfortable sitting area, and many snacks post-breakfast (especially for West coast folks who don't make breakfast). Great location and a great new hotel addition to the Lexington metro. I do agree that the staff has some wrinkles to work out, but my rating is not on the front desk or attention to detail, but the overall hotel compared to others in the area. read more

Very nice hotel property. Titanium Elite traveler here so I've stayed in a lot of Marriotts in my day. My reason for just 3 stars is the staff. My experience was mixed. The gentleman in the restaurant and the young lady working the executive lounge were very nice and accommodating. 5 stars for them. But my front desk experience was less pleasant. My check-in experience was poor and they screwed up how many nights I was staying. My original reservation had me for 3 nights but they had me for 1, so I had housekeeping waking me up from an afternoon nap asking when I was going to check out. So the front desk's "solution" was to add 3 more nights to my stay for 4 nights. So I find out they've charged me for an extra night when I get my emailed folio. When I called to resolve it I spoke to a young lady who said she was the front desk manager (wish I got her name). She took the extra night off but didn't apologize. I understand the labor shortage but management needs to properly train their young staff before putting them on the desk. Not just in the mechanics of the reservation system, but how to interact with people when you're in the hospitality industry. I'm writing this review not to be a complainer but in the hopes that management will see it and take it under consideration. read more

It's a beautiful hotel. The kind lady who helped us check in was very professional and welcoming. However, the two employees working at the restaurant were rude and not welcoming. A lady working there, greeted my spouse (who was up at 7:30) and seated in the lobby near the restaurant, in an unpleasant / rude tone with "are you going to eat or just sit there?" My spouse said they wanted a cup of coffee but didn't see any in the lobby. The lady said they could have a cup of coffee for $17 with the buffet. Then the two workers said you can use a coffee machine if you're an M club member. My spouse knew I'd racked up a lot of points over the years staying in Marriott properties and we had "status" in their loyalty program, but my didn't know for sure on the M club. How hard would it have been to give a loyal Marriott customer a cup of coffee? Or any guest?Or charge $2 versus $17?? Very inhospitable in a premium hotel in a very hospitable town. No doubt it is hard to find staff, it's been tough for many people, and this is a "first world problem". Given the extra cost, however. we will stay at a less expensive hotel in Lexington next time. And get a free cup of coffee in the morning. :). read more

In February we signed a contract with the Marriott in Lexington, Ky to host our wedding and reception. I asked for 10 rooms to be blocked on the residence inn side of the Marriott with double beds. Laurel McKinley was the person who I was dealing with in regard to the rooms. It took her over a month to get me the contract for the rooms. In April, Brooke, who was our event coordinator at the Marriott, notified me that she was taking another job in another state and that Laurel McKinley was going to be taking over. I already had an issue with Laurel because of her poor communication. She does not get back with people in a timely manner. It took about a month for her to meet us. Also, I asked for a link to give to my guest so they can booked their rooms online. Laurel told me that there is no such link. I know when groups block off rooms they provide the person(s) hosting a link. Laurel said for us to just call the hotel. With our event being so far out the hotel didn't have access to see the rooms for our wedding. When we finally met, she tried to change the prices that we were quoted. Before Brooke left, she gave Laurel ALL communications that she had with me, which include prices. In late September I found out that the 10 rooms with double beds on the residence Inn side were not available. Also, I was told we didn't have any rooms blocked off for our wedding. I contacted the hotel to find out what was going on. I spoke with the general manager, Richard Byrd and he said we couldn't get any room with double beds on the Residence Inn side because they were all promised to other people and or groups. Richard then said he would try to put us in the hotel across the street. I explained to Richard that I didn't want that because my guests were coming from out of town, and we didn't agree to staying at a hotel across the street which would cause the guest to walk across the street and or drive. He got rude with me and said since he couldn't make me happy, he would give me my money back and for me to take my business somewhere else. It was too late to move everything to another hotel. I tried to find another hotel that would be able to accommodate us but was unable to. On October 12th I tried to contact the accounting department to make a payment and no one ever reutrned my calls or emails. I tried reaching the department for a week. Come to find out they have new people in that department. But on October 20th, the accounting department, Angie Demio, tried to withdraw money out of my account. The numbers they had were incorrect, but was given the correct gust count. They never reviewed the emails that was sent to them from their own colleagues. Richard Byrd and Laurel McKinely should not be working in the hospitality business. I will say Gina Coffey and Talisha Blake came through in the end, but everyone else needs to go. read more

The decor was very nice and well thought out, including an open closet with a bench for seating and/or suitcases, a long couch along the window, a well placed mirror, nice shower and good bathroom counter space, nice tv with great cable and movie options, and a very comfortable bed. read more

This review is based on the food only, not the sleep accommodations. Excited to see that they were newly added to DoorDash, this Yelpie was anxious to try something new for lunch while in lockdown! The delivery menu is limited, but offers a pleasant variety such as flatbread pizza, burger, and a famous local dish, the Kentucky hot brown. They also offer range of desserts, including another local favorite, Crank & Boom ice cream. I had the bourbon ball flavor, and was glad the ice cream didn't come in a larger size. I'm pretty sure I would have lost control. It's that good. At least I waited to have the ice cream until I ate my jerk chicken cobb salad. It's all about balance, right? The salad was scrumptious. It came with green goddess dressing which I'd never had before, so unfortunately I have no prior taste experience to compare it with. I will say that it tasted like it had been freshly made. And it was slightly herby and not overly tart. Just delicious! I'm looking forward to staying for a "staycation" at some point in the future, and hope to have an equally pleasant review for the hotel accommodations! read more

Eh..eh..WOW. How disafuckingpointed could you get here. Ride into town on good vibes, thinking you'd get a good room with great service....being that its "Marriott". But I'll tell you it's far from that. Room has NO tows hanging up. Have to bend down and search just to go to the bathroom. The ice is full of germs....so no cold drinks for this guy. Get downstairs to the bar.....and the bartender LAUGHS when you ask for a bourbon. He then trots around laughing back n forth around the bar as you patiently wait for your drink....throws it at you and walks away. Leave for a few drinks in the city......come back and the glass is so.clean it's like the windex commercial.....BAM. face first into the glass door. Im concussed. They refuse to bring bandaids to the room. What do I do???. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I'm a Marriott Lifetime Elite member and because I was staying on the Residence Inn side of the property (because I have my dog) they refused me access to the Marriott Lounge to get coffee and fill my water bottle. They are currently functioning with one front desk for both hotels and I have to go over there in the morning to get grab and go breakfast but can't go into the lounge. Doesn't make any sense at all and they stood firm in this refusal even after having Ambassador Services got involved. Will never come back to either of these properties. In all my travels and stays at Marriott properties, this kind of treatment has never happened. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted to have a "stay-cation" and decided to have a night out on the town. We decided to stay at the new Marriott in downtown Lexington. We had planned on checking in and then walking over to Jeff Ruby's for dinner. Since we were dressed for date night we thought we might take a few pictures before checking in, outside in the courtyard. We made sure to stay out of peoples way and the parking attendant had no issue with it. Before we had a chance to walk in a security guard, an older white man, came out and told us we needed to leave and we're not allowed to take pictures because it was private property. We tried to explain that we were going to check in, but at that time he said we should "get the f in our car and leave". Really disappointing and ruined our night to say the least. This is a brand new hotel in downtown Lexington. I spent one night here and enjoyed my stay. The room was pretty big with two walls of windows. The bathroom was bigger than I expected and the whole hotel has a nice modern design to it. There were a few hiccups but it is probably just because it is a new hotel. When I checked in I was not thanked for being a Rewards Member. This does not bother me but after every Marriott stay I am always surveyed and that is usually one of the questions. I was not offered any bottles of water and there were none in the room. The valet/self park is a little confusing. It is a shared underground garage so I self parked. I took my ticket. When I went to leave I had to pay the machine at the exit. I also noticed on my bill I was charged for self parking. I called the hotel and they credited my bill immediately so it was not an issue but I think they may have a few bugs to work out of there system. Its a nice hotel and if I need to stay downtown again I will try and stay here. Hopefully next time I will be able to see more of the amenities the hotel has to offer. read more

My wife and I stayed at the New Marriott Lexington City Center in the Presidential Suite. All I can say is, "Wow!" The amenities offered were top-notch, and the guest services were fantastic. Upon arrival, we were greeted and given all pertinent information for our stay. In addition, the guest services directors answered all of our questions regarding amenities and options. The M Club was great and offered 24-hour access to snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and local and national newspapers. The room was impeccable. We've stayed in several rooms over the years, but this room was spotless. The view of the city skyline from our balcony was beautiful. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, and I just can't say enough about it! It was spacious and it looks as if every possible need was taken into account with the set-up of the room. We've stayed in suites before, but the master bath was bigger than some rooms I've stayed in. I had a chance to use the Fitness Center, and I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen a hotel fitness center so clean and stocked with the best equipment. The treadmills and stationary bikes were equipped with the latest technology, the machines and dumbbells were brand-new, and there was a plentiful supply of super-clean towels and water. In addition, there were complimentary earbuds just in case a guest didn't bring their own. In short, it was difficult to leave such a beautiful place --we actually waited until the very last minute before checkout. If you're planning on visiting Lexington or just wanting a "staycation" or night away from it all, you really can't go wrong with this hotel. 5 Stars All The Way! read more

Stayed here on Monday, 12/12 and came back. I shouldn't have. Upon arrival, they could barely acknowledge me. I am a Titanium member and had to ask where the Concierge lounge was located. A few hours later, I made 3 phone calls to attempt to order room service. Was sent to ext. 305, where no one answered. Finally got ahold of someone. Ordered a salad and rice bowl. Hour and 20 minutes later, no food. Called down again; 14 times. Still no one. Went to the front desk and waited for 10 minutes. Then when "rockstar" showed up, I was a little irritated. Asked him what was going on. He instantly got defensive. I told him what was going on and was told the chef went on break. I ORDERED A SALAD. You need a chef for that? I told him this was F="/ing ridiculous. He then threatened to call security. Packed my stuff and left. Went to the Sire Hilton. Much nicer and half price. Full Service Marriotts have become a joke. DON'T STAY HERE. And yes, I had several choice words as I left and he told me to get out of HIS lobby. Pathetic. And they are refunding my money. read more
