In one of the most difficult times in my life, Dean from Disaster Services will be remembered as…read morethe hero who continuously bent over backwards to help me, when no one else would. My first interaction with Dean was a phone call, during which I anxiously explained how I had left water running in the bathroom, causing a leak into the basement. Within a matter of minutes, he had assessed the leak/inspected moisture levels in the basement ceiling. In the most efficient manner I've seen by a professional, he told me that his work was not required and that I had NO insurance claim whatsoever. He left shortly thereafter without even charging me for the emergency house call! Needless to say, Dean could easily have taken advantage of my fear of mold-growth and charged me a few thousand dollars to put his fans in. Instead of capitalizing on the fact that I was completely clueless and would have paid whatever amount he said was necessary, he was dead honest with me, when he certainly didn't have to be. He came immediately, assessed the situation, and calmed my spirits, all free of charge. Now, fast-forward one month... We put our house on the market, and the home inspection revealed that we had mold (totally separate location from the prior bathroom leak). Of course, I called Dean immediately. Within two weeks, we passed the mold clearance test, due to Dean's immediate response and successful cleaning. We had numerous other issues called out for repair in the home inspection including but not limited to a roof leak, electrical/wiring problems, and a vapor barrier requirement in the crawl space. Now here is where Dean continued to surpass any and all expectations I may have had regarding his services. He provided me with numbers for contacts who could address each of these issues. He took it upon himself to personally call the roofing company, the electrician, and the mold sampling/testing company to explain my situation to them. Furthermore, he personally scheduled dates and times when those third party companies could do the required repair work, all with the most reasonable estimates you could imagine. It was like he put himself in my shoes and literally started making phone calls on my behalf. Additionally, Dean happened to notice that the sump pump was running continuously, while doing his mold removal. Being the good human that he is, he took it upon himself to take off the sump pump cover to take a look, even though the sump pump had nothing to do with his mold removal agenda. He explained to me exactly why the sump pump was running over-time and gave me step-by-step instructions to fix it myself, so that I wouldn't have to pay for yet another pricy project before the sale of the home. The next month, I moved to Arizona, even though the NY house hadn't officially closed. The buyers' last walk-through of the home revealed that mold had come back in the basement because I had neglected to run a dehumidifier after Dean did the first round of mold removal. Hearing about this mold re-growth after I was already in AZ was like a nightmare come true. And of course, guess who I called? Dean picked up on the first ring. I explained the situation to him, and he was over at my NY home the next day. I told him that I didn't have a dehumidifier running in the living space in the basement (since I had removed it the day that I moved), that one would need to be installed and hooked up to drain in the sump pump, and that the sump pump would need to be fixed since I never got around to fixing it. He purchased a brand new dehumidifier on his personal credit card and sub-contracted a plumber to fix the sump pump for me. He personally set up the dehumidifier and removed the second round of mold at a rock bottom price. I would never have been able to close on my NY home if it weren't for Dean and his willingness to help me with things that were WAY beyond his job description. The world would be a different place if more people operated like Dean and selflessly put the good of others before the good of themselves. I will never forget Dean and his company, and how he single-handedly helped me climb out of one of the deepest holes I've ever been in. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dean. You have set the bar unimaginably high for professionals everywhere.

It has taken me several years to write this review, but I feel a moral obligation to warn others of…read morethe deception/financial ruin this company caused. I am still paying the price for their greed, egregious errors, & dishonesty, and the community deserves to know. To begin, this company was not licensed to perform remediations when we used them--something I confirmed directly w/ the NYS Department of Labor. They also misrepresented their qualifications, falsely claiming to hold third-party mold certifications, which I later verified they did not. Despite this, they advertised & conducted mold work, which appears they were not legally allowed to perform. What began as a very minor basement leak should have been a simple water mitigation. Instead, it was turned into a massive insurance claim and year-long ordeal, directly caused by their deception, greed and critical errors. From the start, they brought in contaminated, antiquated equipment--including unsafe air scrubbers--solely to inflate the claim and maximize profit. When I confronted them with photos, the wife admitted it was an "oversight," apologized profusely, and begged for another chance. She promised in writing (which I requested) to replace the contaminated equipment, cover air testing, and pay for my HVAC to be cleaned, since their dirty scrubber had been placed right next to my main intake. Despite these assurances, she later tried to retract promises. Even after their so-called "thorough" cleaning, I remained concerned. I hired an independent mold hygienist, who confirmed that their replacement scrubbers were still contaminated and that their work had been subpar. The hygienist used a specialized machine, (to the tune of roughly 10K to test). They stated the output air from their 2nd "allegedly cleaned" machine was more polluted than the air going in--a shocking level of negligence. As a result, a second company had to completely redo their work. This raised my claim by tens of thousands dollars, caused months of disruption in my home, and led to my homeowner's rates tripling--costs I am still burdened with today. When my insurance company attempted to recoup damages, they discovered Redeeming carried extremely poor liability coverage. Their cut rate insurer denied the claim outright and offered no appeal, leaving me with no recourse, short of costly legal action. This is not something reputable insurance companies do. This speaks volumes about the kind of business they run. Please know that You may be faced with same outcomes, if you have similar issues. Your only option may be to hire an attorney. In summary: this company operated without proper licensing or certifications, lied about their credentials, brought contaminated equipment into my home multiple times, and failed to follow proper remediation protocols. They made promises they later tried to break, became combative when confronted with independent findings, & ultimately left my family with financial/emotional hardship that continues to this day! Redeeming Restoration presents themselves as religious and trustworthy, but in reality, they are deceptive, unprofessional, and negligent. Please understand the risks of hiring them. My hope is that by sharing my experience, I can prevent others from suffering the same fate. I can also provide copies of my emails to Sheri, after she tried to rescind her promise to offer duct cleaning, after begging me to not fire them after 1st discovery of contaminated equipment. I can also send photos of the specialized hygienist equipment showing their contaminated equipment too. It should also be stated that my insurance company is one of the largest and most reputable companies out there. They'd reviewed/approved the second cleaning, based on the hygienists inspection/recommendations, due to Redeeming's subpar work. These are true professionals in this industry, possessing college degrees, unlike Redeeming. Redeeming is not trustworthy & Sheri is a bold faced liar, who openly admitted to me that her family has become "laxed" in their quality of work. Steer clear & feel free to ask me questions if you want help deciding who to hire. I have recorded conversations, insurance paperwork and pics. They refused to even refund my deductible at the end, which my insurance fought for. They could've reached out at the end to work out an amicable resolution for all. They didn't deserve to profit off me or my insurance company after all their errors, but they were still paid thousands for their shoddy work that was Deemed Unfit ! I also have my insurance litigators emails saved as well. I'll send anyone this info if they want it.

I have to say how impressed I was with this organization.
