I didn't even know they did facials, and I had what was perhaps the best facial I'd ever had. I have very sensitive skin. Jessica Jebiles was an experienced knowledgeable professional who provided a relaxing, but thorough experience. The products were clean, and top quality, but she wasn't trying to sell the whole time. She in fact, suggested a lower price sunscreen when I asked about a particular product, keeping my skins needs in mind. I had no negative reaction at all to the facial, except feeling like my face was revitalized and ready for more weather. Highly recommend. read more

I was greeted by a wonderful staff who were more than eager to help me find perfect skin products. The manager was extra helpful and gave me a few free samples that I appreciated testing out since I have sensitive skin. Almost all the Bluemercury stores in this area suffer from delivering poor customer service. New Canaan is the least desirable of all. Yes, I've been to New Canaan, Greenwich, Darien, Westport, and more recently Rye (the only one worth visiting). It seems like they deliberately hire disengaged, rude people. The people who work here are uppity and really rude. Why? There is no reason to be. You get a literal stare down when you shop here. The UK main office should secret shop these locations because they might be horrified to see what's going on. Or maybe not. They could be part of the problem. My shade of foundation has become impossible to find and I've bought a few things online that just don't measure up. Either they're the wrong shade, make me breakout, etc. Someone suggested bluemercury, and when I searched online, I saw they carried my brand as well as many other high quality brands. When I walked in, a young girl was behind the desk, and I asked for help. I described my situation and asked her to color match me with something close to the one I use. She said "I like NARS" and proceeded to slop on a couple different shades. There was no matching going on, simply throwing spaghetti at the wall. It was a heavy, miscolored foundation- exactly the opposite of what I wanted. I was looking for someone with experience to take control, listen to me, evaluate my skin tone, and make informed suggestions. Unfortunately that is not the service I received. read more

I get my "supply" of beauty creams from Diana (red head)... I'm super busy and never have time to come to the store. I buy the set of the diamond extreme from Natura Bisse which is about $130 cheaper than buying them separate. (Eye and night cream) She always texts/emails when they have sales and etc. She always sends me the best samples of stuff that really works. Love love love her! Best service! read more

I stopped in this New Canaan location to spend a gift card I had received. While in shop, I asked an employee if I could use restroom. He directed me to ladies room. When I emerged, a woman was standing, waiting for me to tell me it's for employees only and I should "ask first". I told her I did ask. She said she wanted to be sure I didn't get "hurt." Awful store. I wrote a long review but to give a short version they overcharged me, made a big deal out of it, claiming that I didn't understand the price tag on the item in question, and hung up on me in the middle of a conversation about getting a refund. I ended up returning the whole purchase and the so-called manager gave me a ton of attitude about it so do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. read more

Today me and my mom came here. My mom wanted to buy a certain eyebrow pencil. We had been waiting for an associate for a while. The associate who ended up helping her acted like she was stealing from the drawers because my mom was trying to find the eyebrow pencil on display. My mom only did that because we had been waiting like 10 minutes for someone to find it for us.!The sales associate confidently gave her the wrong thing (a 30 dollar mascara instead of the eyebrow pencil) and my mom didn't realize it until she got home. The package is all ripped so she can't even exchange it. I find it really rude that the associate (Patricia) acted like my mom was stealing and gave her the wrong item after my mom had pointed it out to her. read more

Just found out that the company policy IS that they'll accept returns and refund to a credit card within 30 days. I have only had to return once - it was an unopened bottle of eye cream. I enjoy blue mercury because of its product selection however the employees at this specific location were quite rude. When i walked in they paid no attention to me even though there were NO other customers in the store. They were even more rude when I simply asked for some assistance in selecting the right color of a certain product. For the amount of money I was spending the service was not adequate.
