I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Manfredi was disappointing from the moment I called. I simply called to inquire about replacing the battery in a men's watch. The woman who answered the phone was curt and unpleasant from the second she picked up. Rather than answering my questions, she immediately became condescending and started explaining how watch batteries work--which wasn't what I had asked. I then asked whether they guarantee their work. Instead of answering professionally, she responded in a tone that made it seem like I had asked a ridiculous question: "Of course we stand by our work." Since that didn't actually answer what I meant, I clarified by asking what the warranty on the battery replacement was. Her response? In an even nastier tone: "We don't warranty our batteries. No one does that." That statement turned out to be completely false. Their quoted price was $65 just for a battery replacement, so I called a few other reputable jewelers. I ended up having the battery replaced for just over $21, and it included a two-year warranty on the battery replacement. It's one thing to charge a premium for exceptional service and expertise. It's another to be rude, dismissive, and confidently tell a customer that "no one" offers something that multiple competitors clearly do. Customer service starts with the first phone call, and unfortunately this establishment failed that test spectacularly. When my watches or jewelry need servicing in the future, Manfredi won't even be a consideration. read more

We were pleased with our purchase but found the salesperson who helped us kept trying to upsell us with other pieces long after we had made it clear we were happy with our lot and wished to continue our day. She ran our credit card very quickly but it took forever to wrap our purchase, and it began to feel like we were being held hostage while she continued to show us more items that were not at all our style. The band on my Hublot watch lost it screws. Called around to various stores in White Plains, NY and NYC and no one had the screws or the interest to fix my watch. Contacted Manfredi, was advised to bring it in and they would check it out. Harry provided GREAT & Superior Customer service replacing my screws on my watch band and see Juliet on the sales side. I would highly recommend this Jewelery store in Greenwich for any kind of repairs or high end purchases. I even left my mother's antique beaded necklace for repair. I generally avoid Greenwich businesses. I like to stay local to Stamford where I feel more welcomed. This jeweler, however, is worth heading to Greenwich. Our salesperson, Nick (I think that was the name of our rep who also is from Stamford) was helpful without being pushy. They would get 5 stars if they were more strict with the number of customers.
