When I have called Peninsula Pool & Spa in the past for help with issues with my pool/pool system (pumps, heater, etc.) they have always responded to request quickly. They have a professional yet personable way about themselves which makes talking to and working with them a positive experience. I will hopefully be able to reach them in the future. I will go to them first as long as they're in business. And, I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks. They've helped me with four (4) issues specifically: 1. HEATER: My pool heater wasn't working properly - they inspected and provided feedback/recommendation on next steps (they came onsite for this) 2. CONNECTING HOSE: A hose from my pool pump and cleaner pump needed to be replaced - they asked for pics then guided me through the process of buying and installing the parts myself 3. PVC PIPE REPLACEMENT: The same hose was connected to an elbow joint that cracked - again, they explained exactly how to remove the elbow joint, add contact cement, and install a new elbow joint - step by step over the phone and via text message 4. PUMP: My pool pump wouldn't start - they explained that I needed to prime it with water - easy fix (they came onsite for this) I've listed 4 issues they've helped me with and 2 of 4 they helped at no cost without even coming onsite. This is a business I want to maintain a relationship with. OUTSTANDING! I would give them more stars if I could.

He calmly walked me through troubleshooting over the phone, helped me identify the issue, and guided me step-by-step until we stopped the leak. I had a hell of a time with both mildew or mold growth in my spa where I did a complete change of water and a deep cleaning along with a chemical cleaning of the jets just two months ago. Yet I was still getting brown flecks that were coming out the Jets and floating around my spa and I had really lost my patience with it. George contacted me back the same day via email with some very useful information and said he could make it out the next day to look things over and come up with a game plan. He said it sounded like it would be a two-day service where he would have to drain the spa and use a commercial jet cleaner one day and let the spa sit overnight, then refill it and super shock the spa the next day before refilling it and balancing all the chemicals. The knowledge he imparted to me about water chemistry that first day was beyond anything I had ever heard before and there were a few different reasons why I was dealing with the issues that I had. He mentioned there were no guarantees this would take care of the problem but he had handled spas worse than mine before and been able to solve their issues. I have been a spa owner for over 30 years but this new spa has been a real challenge and obviously my chemical balancing wasn't preventing the growth in the spa. Two days later my water is crystal clear and my chemical levels are all completely within safety levels. It's refreshing to find someone in their field of expertise who knows what needs to be done and communicates it flawlessly then executes on the plan with stellar results! I was so impressed with his timeliness and service, I decided to hire him for weekly maintenance on my spa so I wouldn't have to worry about whether I was balancing the chemicals correctly anymore or not. Every year, they waited for it to get filled with algae before taking any steps to mitigate and then billed us for the extra work. They claimed our pool was difficult, but the people who took over had no problems keeping it in tip top shape. They never mailed us their invoices, used an incorrect email address to send invoices, then when we canceled service, they sent a bill for almost $4000 for work they claimed they did over the last 4 years, without most of the supporting invoices, with vague descriptions of what was done. They had also raised the monthly price without informing us, so that our automatic payments were short for almost a year without us even knowing, then they billed us for the back amounts. My husband was in contact with them many times, and they never mentioned the fact that we hadn't paid any of the bills we had never received. Only after I canceled did they come forward with a huge final bill. I asked for copies of the invoices, which I eventually got, but this is not the way to do business.

We purchased a home on a short sale from some disgruntled owners that, among other things, decided to stop taking care of the pool once the sale process began. Needless to say we were greeted by a swamp when we took possession of the property. It took a week to discover things that had been thrown into the deep end of the pool, it was so filled with algae and who knows what else. After attempting to work with another service we found here on Yelp (which I won't review as they never charged me for their failed attempts, so no harm done aside from frustration) I called Mazik Touch hoping for better results. He offered to make concessions in his weekend schedule to come by, but considering the state we were in I didn't think it was necessary. The offer speaks volumes to his service levels, though, so it's definitely worth mentioning. Fast forward a month (yes, it took that long)... after numerous visits, a significant amount of chemicals, and at least two sessions vacuuming direct to the drain the pool was clear as can be. I couldn't have hoped for anything more than I witnessed, and dove unafraid into the water that weekend. The highest praise I can offer Tommy is that numerous family members, my wife included, didn't believe the water could be salvaged and would need to, at substantial cost, be replaced entirely. Happily, that wasn't necessary thanks to Mazik's services. Our last visit was his "handoff", at which he educated me on how to properly maintain the pool, which I like to think I've done a fair job of since he last visited. I never could have recovered the mess we inherited, though, and for that Tommy has an open invite to visit anytime he likes. Since then he's checked in (via text, no less, very modern), offered ph/alk balancing advice, suggested the appropriate course of action to make our drain safe (this was before Usher's incident with his kid) and referred us to a fencing company so we could make the pool a bit safer for our little guy. I would recommend, without hesitation, picking up the phone and calling Mazik Touch for all your pool needs.
