So obviously I submitted a "request a quote" on Yelp (where I attached a photo of our new trash-branch-pile), and I received multiple responses and quotes within 15-30 minutes. We recently hired Arturo to take on a very complicated project in Ryan Place. After purchasing a…read morehome in Ryan Place last August, we quickly realized that there were some major drainage issues that were causing subsequent foundation issues. When it rained, our yard (almost half an acre) was a lake, our basement had spots where water was entering, and we had an ongoing issue with pests/rodents/etc that were finding shelter anytime we had heavy rain. In addition, we were constantly battling significant shifts in our foundation every single time it rained (door issues, sheetrock cracking, etc.). After a structural engineer inspected the home, he suggested that before we have any work done on our foundation, we needed to address all of the above issues by removing all of the concrete, re-grading the entire property so that water flowed away from all structures, adding drainage where needing & tying in gutters. It was a massive undertaking with some tricky details since the home is 100 years old & the lawn includes quite a few large pecan & live oak trees. Arturo was quick to respond when I reached out, he asked great questions, gave helpful suggestions & returned a quote within a couple of hours of leaving our house. He communicated clearly and consistently from start to finish! He completed the work within the timeline he had estimated even though we had days of rain and several big unforeseen challenges. He was always willing to let me ask questions, give feedback, or pivot as we needed to. He asked often if there was anything we wanted to adjust, and really cared about meeting our expectations! Every night before they left, they cleaned up after themselves which was such a gift with two little kids running around! Going the extra mile made all the difference. He truly went above and beyond! 14 days - 25 cubic yards of concrete removed & hauled off (including a retaining wall), 120 yards of dirt brought in, two trees transplanted, ~300' of drainage (surface drains, french drains & gutters tied in), and entire re-grade of the property and we truly have a different yard! Since then I've seen a noticeable difference in some of the big issues we started with. We have no sitting water when it rains and subsequently, our basement has had no water leaking. I've seen ZERO common pests (tree roaches, rodents, etc) that were common during big storms! Most importantly, I haven't had to reset a single door since Arturo corrected the drainage. I truly cannot overstate how impressed with are with Arturo & his team! They exceeded our expectations & we would gladly work with them again!
