I usually do not read yelp reviews, however a friend requested that I read a specific review regarding Dr. Shelley Bluett. Since I do not tolerate drama, stupidity, or defamation of character of quality people, I felt compelled to write a review describing my experiences with Dr. Shelly Bluett from Bluett Integrative Health, LLC
I am a Christian, husband, and caretaker for my wife who is a 10 year stroke survivor. We are parents, grandparents, conservative, former business owners, who believe in freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. As a former member of the military, I took the oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United State of America against all enemies foreign or domestic. Why all the information you might ask? Well, it is relevant in understanding my experience and why I am so passionate about people who selflessly serve our community such as Dr. Bluett.
Our family have been clients of Dr. Bluett for several years and have received the utmost care, respect, and support as patients. We have used alternative and integrative medical doctors for several years, especially after traditional mainstream medical doctors told us my wife would be "a vegetable" for the rest of her life following a stroke. The prognosis from traditional doctors was not acceptable to us, so we sought the help of Dr. Bluett. She recommended Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Nutritional IV's, oral supplements, and other therapies to support my wife's recovery. While my wife is partially paralyzed and mostly non-verbal she is able to use the computer, sing songs, and even say simple phrases. Many doctors have been and continue to be amazed at her recovery and improvement in her overall health. Dr. Bluett's knowledge and expertise in her field has been instrumental in my wife's recovery, as well as the health and welfare of several hundreds of patients in this community and others.
Be patient the Finale is near.
Several years ago my brother, who was a thirty-year veteran of the US Airforce, passed away. We had a military funeral to celebrate his life and the commander of the Air Force Honor Guard read a poem "The Dash" by Linda Ellis. The poem had a huge impact on many lives that day. If you take a moment to read the poem it will give you the understanding of why God gave you two ears and one mouth (meaning listen twice as much as you talk). It is important to remember that our words have the power to breathe life or death. If you can't say something good about a person, don't say it all, even in a YELP review. Doctors can treat many afflictions, but I have yet to see one that can heal a bitter spirit.
Enjoy the following!!!
THE DASH
By Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on the tombstone
From the beginning...to the end
He noted that first came the date of birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years
For that dash represents all the time
That they spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved them
Know what that little line is worth
For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars...the house...the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So, think about this long and hard.
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect
And more often wear a smile,
Remembering this special dash
Might only last a little while
So, when your eulogy is being read
With your life's actions to rehash...
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent YOUR dash? read more
