My daughter wanted to rent and RV when she reached a goal.. This place is very family oriented. I was nervous because I've never been to an RV resort . Blueway is a hidden gem. Great park, staff is VERY accommodating and friendly. Daisy was awesome in helping me prior to arrival. They have a nice pool area with 2 pools, putting greens, cornhole toss areas, shuffleboard, mini basketball court, fire pits, pet play and wash area, laundry room, showers, etc. Nice park with plenty of trees. We LOVE Blueway!! hands down, the most active and fun park we have been to. The pools are warm, the people are all friendly, the activities day and night are fun and always draw a crowd. The park isn't some huge, fancy, large sites by any means but once you get set up we found it was still plenty of room and for what we lacked in space, the place made up in personality. in addition, Walmart and Publix are both a mile away as well as many shopping options within 5 miles and lots of bars/restaurants. We have been staying two weeks to a month at each place the last 5 months and plan to visit Blueway for 2 months next year. if you want quiet; serene and lots of place then this may not be for you. But if you look for pickleball, cornhole, poker, cards, bingo, shuffleboard, music, pool parties this IS thee place! read more

We came here on Labor Day weekend and it was a last minute booking. They had a special going and they were going to have a DJ at pool and band at night and Food trucks etc for the holiday. We drove over from the East coast of FL and we almost didn't go because it was supposed to rain all weekend. I am glad we went, the weatherman was wrong again. This used to be called Shady Acres and all the signage still says Shady Acres (In fact I think when they ran my CC it came up Shady Acres) This RV park has a certain amount of space that is for traveling guests and then there are quite a few full timers here. They didn't have a DJ that I saw, but they had speakers and hooked up to someones phone and played music. The band was good, seemed to be a local group and friendly with everyone there. I do not remember seeing the food truck but I was not looking either. All in all, its a campsite, with 2 newly renovated pools. I only use it to park my RV and do things during the day. Its close to a lot of cool places. When we went to go hook up we had a wasps nest in our plug area and they came right away to spray. I would certainly go back. read more

IT'S HOME away from home. We are a full time RVing family of five (plus our two pups) and when we first came in 2020 it was for a month stay. We loved it so much we extended our stay for three months and have been coming back ever since. The community is amazing, we have so many friends here. The community wouldn't be what it is, without the amazing staff. They work so hard to make this place great. There are activities around the clock to do here at Blueway. If I could give a zero star, I would this is by far the nastiest management I have ever experienced in an RV resort they will constantly harass you and threaten you to throw you out even if you're paid up in full for half the year do not even think about coming here unless you like to be threatened Every single time every single day there are so many other options available. The good, they have a new pool. The bad, everything else. Lose electric at least once a week, lose water at least 3 or 4 times a week for extended periods many of the times. Any significant rain? You are in a mud pit, and better have 4 wheel drive. If you don't, you're stuck, literally, and physically. I personally watched a class A motorhome torch its transmission trying to park in one of their mud pits they call sites. And if you complain the site is unacceptable? Then leave, and you leave your money too; no refunds, PERIOD......unless medical emergency. Electric is choppy, shorts and loose connections. No surge protector? Then you are putting your rig in their hands, with no avenue for malpractice to recoup anything. If you love Vegas, you might like this place. You are placing a bet that it doesn't rain, your electrical system doesn't get torched, you don't get stuck in the mud, and if your bet pays off, you get a new pool to swim in, and are within 45 minutes of most the area beaches. If you think that is a good return for a win with gambling dollars, go for it. If not, take this place off your list of possibilities. And if you do decide to roll the dice, at least bring some winter rubber boots. You are going to need them for the mud when it rains. I have been across our beautiful country in many a campground, both good and bad. I must say that I have never been in a campground before, good or bad, that the management was so mismatched for the service industry they were in. Maybe it is a Florida thing, where they think they are the only game in town. Other places in Florida, and in fact in the Ft Myers area seem far more accommodating. You have been warned! If you sink in the mud, torch your electrical system in your RV, or maybe lose a transmission, and read this review, along with some others here, you have nobody to blame but you! read more

This is by far the worst rv Park we have ever visited. We made reservations in June of last year for the month of January 2019. Asked for a premium site, and or lake front. We paid a $350 deposit. When we arrived they said they had no premium sites available and were full...they escorted us to our site which was a mud hole and not big enough for a small trailer....we were in a 36 ft Motorhome....the electrical service had been jimmied from another site 2 sites over, we could not get our slides out because of the trees...they next morning I went for a walk and low and behold there were at least 25 premium sites empty. Everyone there was complaining. If we had stayed we would have had to get a tow to get us out as our coach had already sunk in the mud over that one night. Do not go here. read more

Pending review Shady Acres Has A Lot Of Illegal Market Conduct To Answer For I signed a one year lease starting March 23, 2018. I did not know how hazardous/dangerous their park accommodations are to the general public. They knowingly placed me in a unit that had multiple windows leaks. Pull-out leaks. Sinks leaks. Refrigerator leaks. Broken steps. And faulty electrical wiring throughout the park. When I brought these (illegal) substandard housing issues to their attention, they did Not correct the hazardous issues. Rather than that, they put into motion the "legal" dynamic to evict me. I strongly recommend that the State of Florida attorney general investigate them for ongoing and deceptive business practices. read more

This is a beautiful campground/RV park! I live in Fort Myers and have seen many of the RV/campgrounds in this area and this is by far the nicest coziest campground around. I find that campgrounds here are either too high-end with not a bush out of place with concrete roads, etc. with so many rules that you can't get that campground feel or they are really scary and dirty. They seem to be making a lot of positive changes as well to this nice, safe campground. Also the campground is convenient to everything yet nice and quiet. read more

Read the fine print before you spend a dime at this place. I booked in September 2020 for 30 days. The deposit was $450.00. That should had raised a red flag but I didnt think about it at the time, thinking that a partial refund is normal, especially this amount, "WRONG". After reading the fine print, there is a zero refund if you fall within the dates of Nov 1--April 1.. I booked starting March 15. I understood and accepted the fact that Iif I canceled, I'm out of $450.00. Shame on me. Due to health issues and unforeseen home repairs, I called and tried to reschedule or move my reservation for a future date. I was told I had no options other than to be there on March 15 or cancel totaly. I f I didnt cancel before the arrival date that my credit card, which they still had on file would be charged the remaining balance of $925.00...I immediatley called my bank and asked about this type of practice and they indicated that if they did charge me that amount and I did not authorize the charge, and its not in writing, this could be considerd credit card fraud. I called back to the Shady Acres Office and spoke to a 'Corporate Member" and asked if there was anything in writing to indicate that if I did not cancel before the schedule arrival date, I would be charged the full balance. She told be I was welcome to go to the website and look at the policy. The only I see is the redicoulus refund policy. A member of "Corporate Team should be able to answer my question over the phone, but instead kept trying to speak over me or interupt when I was just asking a simple question.Then she threaten to cancel my reservation and hang up, because she said I was rude to her. Nothing was rude about my inquiry regarding what she told me earlier. I am a pround US Navy veteran of 22 years, a resident of Florida for over 60 years, a medically handicap senior citizen and I can honestly say, I have never been treated, or spoken to like I was by this business/management. Then this "Corporate Member said she was transfering me to the other Corporate member in the office, which she did but to no surprize, no one picked up, A good way to get rid of me I assume.! I left my name and number but I am still waiting for a call back. I do hope that Good Sams gets word about these people and how they treat customers. "Shady" seems very appropriate.. My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB, the most 4 recent complaints are the same issue...! I do hope others look at other RV campsites if headed to the Fort Meyers area. This is a warning for all of those considering staying at this place, read the reviews and check out the BBB complaints. They are more concerned about teh almighty dollar and not the customers or their satisfaction. read more

Lets start with the good. Good Location, Great Pool and really nice guests. Now the BAD. When it rains your in constant mud on the back lots. Very poor pads. The worst part was my husband parked our truck on the grass clearing on the opposite side of the road because of all the mud on our site and the fact he was leaving on his motorcycle and if someone tried to pull in next to us while he was gone, they would have a harder time getting in. Mind you if he parked next to the camper in our provided spot we would have to step in water and mud puddles to get out of truck. Chad the manager decided to put a sticker on the windshield of our 80,000 truck to tell us he will tow us if we park there again. Didn't come to camper door or catch us driving in and out to let us know that they didn't want us parking on the semi dry empty area, no he would rather put sticker that didn't come off (had to scrap off with razor blade) and have his paying guest park in a mud puddle. They also over charged us which I had to call the office and speak with a passive aggressive office girl. We stayed 2 and a half months and paid as much for the third month as I did for almost two months because when I extended the trip they refused to give us the monthly rate but charged me daily for the balance of the stay. I guess there policy once you pay you cannot add anything to your trip on the same rate. Oh Well I lived and learned but would never stay there again. read more

Every one should stay here once. Made reservations in April 2019for Feb.2020. Arrived on time, to a site under water. Was told,take it or leave it. After 10 front end loaders full of stone I managed to get my rig in just before dark. In my haste, I didn't get it level and properly supported so I reset. Mud every where. Then the electricity started to act up. Voltage as high as 220. Without surge suppression equipment would surely been ruined. Approximately three days later a contractor comes and makes repars. Later that week,the water goes down, twice. Did I mention all this time the Wi-Fi is down. Sight is woefully under sized for my rig with barely enough room to park my truck. I have to pull into the road to open the back doors and the truck overhangs the cement slab giving us even less room. I gave it one star because they have a nice pool. read more

Seriously stay away! Constantly loosing water, advertise free WiFi - it's nonexistent. Owners change their minds faster than their underwear. The only good thing were the long term residents, but I found out that the owners are forcing 52 trailers to move out because they want to attract "high end" motor homes. No way I would ever park my motor home in the site they offered. Basically a swap. Keep driving, beautiful places down the toad! read more

We have been coming to this park every year for the last 15 years. Never again! The management is forcing the permanent residents (some of them have been there for decades) to move their homes out or have them torn down. Dany is a horrible owner, very nasty. Her father-in-law would turn over in his grave if he knew how she was treating people. Too many other issues to list here. The best thing about this park is the residents. We got here 12/31/2019 and immediately loved this place. We are 1st time snow birds and never stayed at an RV park before. The manager and staff are very nice. Met the owners and they are really doing their best to update the park. We booked for next year and can't wait to come back. The pools are very nice, it's back off the road, and it is close to anything you want to do. Many Restaurants to chose from in this area. No complaints. read more

We have stayed at Shady Acres several times since the summer of 2016. When we call for a reservation, we never know where we will be in the park as "the computer" picks a site for you, but each one has been decent. Like most RV resorts, the sites are rather close, however the grounds are grassy with a scattering of trees. Each one has a cement pad with a picnic table for your porch. They even give you a fresh cover for the table! Although we did not use it, the pool/recreation area has been completed and is nicely decorated. The office staff and maintenance men are friendly and efficient. We had an issue with the water and electricity at our last site, did not feel comfortable, and were easily moved to a new site. Shady Acres is a good value for the money, and we will keep coming back! read more

Beautiful park but management has driven half of the 360 people away who used to stay there every year some for 2+ decades as snowbirds. They abuse the seniors and tell them if they don't like it they can just leave and of course you don't get a refund. They are throwing people out right and left. read more

Until this park gets new management stay away. People were getting kicked out for having legitimate issues. The full time residents must be getting some kind of compensation or something to that effect or I can't believe they would otherwise stay here. We booked this place because they could accommodate our trailer and had a pool. When we arrived they put us in front of a site that was under construction because that was the only size lot that could accommodate our trailer. The pool was closed and we were told it would be open the following week. We were told this same story every week for a month. It never did open and we were not offered any compensation. We were also told by some of the part-time people (who go back every year), that we dare not verbalize our issue or we will be asked to leave. This was our first rv park experience, so we sucked it up. Never again. Next time I will leave when I'm offered compensation to do as such. This particular park needs to go full-time only -since they all seem to be under some kind of stepford wife spell read more

The management really sucks. If you have any kind of complaint the owner will just evict you with no refund. The OWNER/manager is a vicious nasty woman who should never come in contact with the public. The guests are very nice. They advertise a pool and cafe. Pool under construction all season and still not open. There is no cafe. If you have any sort of complaint you are "invited to leave with no reimbursement. The owner should never come in contact with the public. If you have an complaint what so ever she will throw evict you. She is very abusive with the senior guests. Many long time snowbirds are not going back next year because of their practices. They are forcing people to move the permanently set units with attached lanais to another area of the park at their own expense. Most can't afford it and many of the units would not withstand the move due to age. It is very sad. Much of the electrical hook ups are iffy for safety. read more
