I really like using their lab service early in the morning. I do t like having to wait on the registration person to get to work and get going for the day. The host is kind and friendly. The lab is very efficient and caring. Natali is an excellent phlebotomist! She finds my difficult vines and doesn't inject too much pain for someone who doesn't like needles. read more

I really hate to provide even a "1" Don't go here as a travel nurse. You'll have every patient on the unit while the regulars share ONE baby on a bili blanket. You'll have every isolation patient, no one would take them Your patients will fall on the floor before the night shift nurses will respond to a bed alarm. You won't have a CNA, it's just to care for 6 patients all night with no assistance. Appalling. I was contracted to work in a geri psych unit and ended up in MedSurg after one of the staff MS nurses took that assignment and left me hers. (I don't blame her at all) Worst team of nurses I have ever worked with exception of 2-3. I feel literally scarred emotionally from being yelled at by children who call themselves nurses and should either retire or maybe should add a couple years of nursing to their resume prior to being left in charge. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. The staff is rude the doctors don't care and in my case with severe chest pain due to pleurisy spent 8 hours at Bluffton regional only to be told go home and take Tylenol. Can't sleep can't breathe can't move without losing my breath and the pain is horrible but thanks to this horrible hospital they won't prescribe any pain meds that will actually help hell they can't even put a cast on a broken arm at this hospital so please if you value your life health and we'll being go to fort Wayne because Blufftons hospital will not help you in any way other than taking your money and blood and sending you on your way regardless of what's going on read more

Last month November 2019, I went to the ER on a Monday at 6 am with accurate back pain. The medical attention I received was expedient and excellent. The ER doctors quickly ordered blood tests, urinary infection test, a complete CT and MRI scan and made a correct diagnosis within 8 hrs. I was sent that afternoon by EMS to Lutheran Hospital for surgery to remove a life threatening epidural abscess. I am so pleased and thankful for the services of Bluffton Regional Hospital ER. They provided excellent care for the challenging diagnoses of my medically difficult condition. The surgery at Lutheran was very successful and a week later I was dismissed from the Lutheran hospital. So glad that Bluffton Regional is part of the Lutheran Network. read more

One of the worst things that has happened to me was going to this hospital during my pregnancy. I was in my third trimester of almost due so I just put up with the OBGYN and nurses but I should have never. Everything that had done was disrespectful and I have never gotten over the experiences. Every time I used the restroom to urinate in the cup for whatever the reason doctors are checking during every check-up, the toilets were always dirty with urine from other people and toilet paper every where. During another visit for a check-up I had told the doctor in an earlier visit I had gotten a hemorrhoid during my check for whatever reason doctors during pregnancy check because I was already embarrassed someone was staring at me and thought they would notice and he wrote it on my chart and didn't really say much, which 1/3 women get those during pregnancy or labor and mine did go away afterwards, so no big deal, it happens during pregnancy. So during my next check-up the RN who I had checked in with told me to sit wait for my appointment to start then she was laughing I thought when I checked in she was talking about hemorrhoids and making jokes about them she opened the window glass and shouted out to me in the lobby my name and asked "How's the hemorrhoids?'' I was so angry at the time and wanted to complain, but my partner never says anything and thinks nothing is a big deal and to get over it. I wanted to leave and complain there so bad and have always wished I had, this must have been one of the most disrespectful things I have said to me, and confidentiality of patients rights broken. My personal medical record is no-one's business and she was showing to everyone talking about it, and everyone in the lobby heard. No-one there thought it was funny most of the people were old and waiting for the dentist to call them in, but the nurses and doctors all thought it was funny. Then in my release back to work there is a spot for the doctor to write any medical conditions that the employee needs to know about before returning and it states only things that might have to be hospitalized or needs restrictions or something important and OBGYN writes hemorrhoids. That was the only condition I had and it isn't needed and he did it to be funny which as a professional is crazy and disrespectful of my personal rights. During my labor the doctor trying to put the epidural in my back couldn't and bruised my whole back after injecting in and back out like ten times. It hurt almost as bad as the labor. The other nurse said I was over dramatizing the pain I was in because they couldn't get it in my back. I asked for my doctor or a different doctor who could put it in to come and they never brought one, cause the nurse claimed she had three kids and didn't need one pain is only temporary and I would get over it, which I was in so much stress, my baby was over due came out malnourished and wrinkled because the fluid in me had dried up and it was shown on the ultrasound which led me getting the Oxycontin and speeding labor along which distressed me and the baby way after the labor. I also bled the whole time more than normal and they claimed it was fine which I know is not normal. I asked for a C-section and they denied me saying it wasn't medically necessary. I asked for a spinal tap for one because the needle is smaller but they said pain isn't a medical reason for a C-section, nor is excessive bleeding. The nurse then told me I could leave, which my b/f wouldn't let me. When I went into labor at a ten, I paged the nurse to come for 15 mins. I was in the worst pain in my life gripping the bed and pushing and I went to bathroom, because I keep paging saying I had to pee and she just sat out there saying again saying I was dramatizing, and I really was in labor. She called my OBGYN he said to get my pain in control and the doctor came in and put the epidural in my back. I have constant back pain everyone knows you do not put that in after a 7 in dilation or permanent back pain would be a problem. I would have said no, but it was my first baby and I didn't even know what was going on and I was at a ten and in labor and it wouldn't last long without an epidural. I had the baby and everything else out in 15 mins. Yeah it hurt but the worst part was my nerve pain in my leg. Which the epidural helped that, but that's it I could feel the baby come out and everything, and still move because it was put in late and wrong which only partial numbed one area. The nurse also said "I should have never gotten pregnant if I couldn't handle the pain." So I guess I wasn't dramatizing, I was in pain. Then during my six week check-up I asked for the genital wart vaccine and the nurse stated I needed a note from a usual doctor I could get it, which I got one, which made no sense they were doctors there and of course they didn't need it she lied and wasted my time and money. They also charge more than the Health Dep. in Bluffton. read more
