Showed up 15 minutes before appointment for routine screening, made sure to get all paperwork complete and in beforehand so all I had to do was check in. There was absolutely nobody in the location, yet for some reason it still took over 20 minutes AFTER the scheduled appointment for anyone to come get me. read more

Okay, I get it, I understand health workers are understaffed and underpaid. I can and do forgive most. Anita, the one who took care of me, is beyond this. She is downright mean. I've never wanted to cry more than being told my incredible pain in my ear, is nothing. I tried to explain that whether or not it's red, I am in horrible pain. I even asked, if it's not an infection what could it possibly be, a shrug is not the answer I'm looking for. Beyond the lack of any sort of further investigation, she was super mean about it. I feel very genuinely belittled. I gave three because every other staff member besides Anita was so kind and caring. Front desk workers, the guy who did the initial. Anita, if you are seeing this, it's okay to hate your job and be overwhelmed and tired, it's NOT okay to be mean. I hope you can understand that. read more

Went to muncie Indiana location for cut on my leg I was seen very quickly was assessed very well paid 126.00 for what ins would pay.. reasonable! Then it happened... read email saying $75 payment scheduled on upcoming date called billing first they said that I didn't have my.. correct phone.. read off couple previous ones he said could tell me which one it was but could not tell me about my bill last name isCoykendall so that and date of birth should have been enough.. than tried again same guy..Very heavy middle east accent could not understand alot he was saying other than he said I owed $75 .. Felt like they were trying to refuse services to me from the beginning. I need a simple "fit for duty" physical; Able to sit, stand, lift ect. I had my information pre filled out and printed ready to go. The form that was printed got cut off so the provider had the receptionist tell me she could not sign my paperwork. So I found the form again and emailed it to the receptionist. She printed it and had the provider review it, who again said she would refuse to sign it. Then the receptionist made me fill out their work physical history form. The provider finally came to the front of the office to refuse services to my face. I then pulled the form up on my phone and handed it to her. Her response, "I've never seen anything like this. I'm assuming I'll need to check for communicable diseases. And how about your TB test." I then informed her that I have completed my tb test already and I have submitted my vaccination record directly to my company. She is still requiring to see my vaccines so I emailed a copy to the receptionist to print. All of this was before an vitals or exam had been Completed. I need a simple physical to prove I am able to work, nothing else. I have attached the form requirements without any of my personal info, my future employers info or the providers personal info. If the provider wanted to refuse service, she needed to have the courage to come out and do it from the beginning rather than having the receptionist do her dirty work. The receptionist was kind and compassionate the entire time But I'm sure she gets a lot of hostility from angry patients because of the provider. Scheduled an apt for 9:30am, completed registration and paid for the apt prior to apt. Checked in approximately 9:20am. Still in waiting room at 10:35am. 10:37am and they are getting my vitals. 10:39am and I am officially in a room waiting for the provider. Provider enter at 10:40am. Completed physical by 10:46am. Left building at 10:48. I have attached the form to show what the provider was refusing. Just a reminder, she was refusing before she even saw my face. Urgent cares are known for wait times and I am prepared to wait like everyone else. What I am not prepared to do is to be refused as soon as I walk in the door. Jumping through hoops to get a work physical should not be this difficult, especially since they advertise them as a main service. All of this could have been avoided had the provider just completed the visit as scheduled and paid for and I could have then shown and explained in person to her. My time is valuable and I do not appreciate the run around on my busy day when it could have been avoided. read more

Med check is great. But. We had some important tests run for our 2 y/o son at the end of last week. Med check called with results today but we missed the call. We called right back- but their automated system (which is the same nationwide) is broken, hanging up on us no matter the response. Every time. We had to send a friend to physically go to the clinic since we were out of state for the nurse to call us back with results. Im glad we did.. the boys have strep (no symptoms now but still contagious) and we were supposed to spend time with family going through chemo. Med check is great. Their broken automated system threatened the health and welfare of my family fighting cancer. Thats unacceptable for a company providing healthcare. The details matter: fix your phones. read more

Muncie, IN I have had a couple of eyelid infections over the past two months. The first time back in December I thought it was just a stye and waited a couple of days for it to go away. Finally when my eyelid was so swollen I couldn't hardly see out of it I came here and saw a female doctor who gave me eye drops AND oral antibiotics. She took it seriously. Last Thursday my husband started having the same issue in his eyelid and so he went to this urgent care and told them about my eyelid infection and we unfortunately expected the same treatment, but the male doctor (Charlie) would only prescribe eyedrops and said "why would I prescribe oral antibiotics for an eye infection". He wouldn't listen when told that my infection got so bad I could hardly open my eye and that this was the SAME EXACT treatment they prescribed to me at the SAME PLACE. So NOW two days later my husband's eyelid is so swollen he can barely open it and we have to go somewhere else to receive proper treatment. According to the Wellnow Urgent Care reception desk "It's up to the doctor's discretion" on what treatment they prescribe. Okay fine, but what would it have hurt for this doctor to just listen and understand that we've been through this before? We weren't asking for pain pills for God's sake just some antibiotics to prevent it from getting worse. Now here we are having to go somewhere else to get the much worse infection under control. Girlfriend went in and was refused service by the receptionist because she didnt show her having insurance. When my girlfriend checked, both before AND after her visit, Medicaid was active despite what the receptionists system showed. It was unclear on why the receptionist couldn't offer care unless forced to pay up front to be put on a waiting list to be seen today. Joke of an establishment unless you're willing to pay outrageous out of pocket expenses right then to be seen. Kind of shows you where their mind really is instead of caring for patients. Pass on this at all costs or pay crazy expenses to receive sub par treatment and rush you through so they get paid and you out the door. read more

I have been to this Urgent Care several times and love it, except for yesterday when I went in was a terrible experience. I went in for a possible ear infection, which turned out not the be the case. My provider wanted to swab me for strep, and I declined; I have a strong gag reflex, and was not expecting to have that done during the visit. After I refused, her whole demeanor changed towards me, which i get she wanted to help me, but I don't feel like she respected my wishes. AND then, to top it off, I could hear her talking about me out in the nurses station to her coworkers, telling them I made the situation "awkward". I went today and it was a terrible experience! I called ahead to be sure they were able and had means to help with emergency poison ivy in face, eyes, nose throat etc.. I was instructed they did have the shot/ medicine. I've been in a similar situation years ago but not this bad and they gave me a shot. my son had this happen as well and this place took care of him. when I arrived they said they were closing early. when I expained that I called and they had told me to come, I just needed poison ivy care and shot. it was in my eyes, mouth, nose and getting worse quickly. it was in my eyelids and clouded my vision in both eyes. after long wait checking to see if practioners could take me, they checked me in and took me back. when the NP Jackie came in she refused anything but pills. I told her I was highly allergic and it was in my eyes and nose, my eves were clouding and into my nose and throat swelled. she explained she was sick and wanted to leave that I wanted to be seen and that was all she was going to do. if I wanted something else I could go elsewhere. she let me know several times she was not feeling well and that was all she would do and I could go elsewhere. she left and I had to ask the front office crying. I asked if she would get me something to help. all they put on the paper was the single pills... no creams , no antihistamines no shot. the papers filled out said completed,. I went elsewhere Open Door helped! they were fantastic and said I definitely NEEDED emergency shot, creams and antihistamine with the pill. since when is health care a vindictive tool? What NP uses it as way to be mean and cruel to a person in need. The lady who took my vitals was WONDERFUL and compassionate but how about practioners that want to help? if they didn't want to help why didn't they give me reccomendations of other locations that could. I didn't know where to go, that would have been professiona. " I'm sorry we have an emergency here but XYZ can help, they are open until x... mind you this was 1pm and they closed at 8pm.
