This salon kept coming up on my Instagram. I decided to take a chance on this salon. My whole experience with Alia Rose was amazing from booking to check out. It's always scary to try a new salon for color. When I saw some of their work online, I decided to give them a try. When I called to make my appointment the person who answered the phone was friendly and took her time. I asked questions about their payment methods. Stylist is able to take cash/venmo/zelle/ or even a check for tip. Nice that they offer all of these options. The salon is located on a busy street with street parking. There is a pedestrian cross walk right in front of the salon. I was greeted promptly and the interior of the salon was beautiful. I was scheduled with Emilee for my full highlight and touch up. She listened to my thoughts and took the time to explain pricing up front. I appreciated that she told me what to expect right away as the salon sticker shock is never pleasant. What I also noticed is that everyone who worked here seemed genuinely happy and that they enjoyed their work. Staff helped each other out and complimented their co-workers color and styles. My color turned out great and I am happy with the results. I already pre-booked my next appointment. Thankful for a salon closer to home with great customer service. From reception to service this salon really cares about their clients and it shows.

So, recently I opted to do an at home color myself and was incredibly unhappy with it so I called on Alia Rose to the rescue! I have heard of this salon over the years as I have a couple friends that go here. This is probably one of the prettiest and most well appointed salons I have ever been to. The staff, and I mean the entire staff from the front desk to the colorist and the shampoo girl, were beyond sweet. I had a great experience with Kailey, my colorist. She heard my plight and did an epic job at fixing my mess. I was in the chair for about three hours. A great experience here - I'm very happy with my hair color and I feel like I made a friend. FYI, this place seems to also be popular with young men as much of the clientele on the afternoon I was there were teenage boys and young men. They all seemed happy when the left. I have been getting my hair colored since 13 and aware of the capabilities and limitations, but this is so subpar for $400. Hopefully, it will lighten up after a few washes/will have to go elsewhere to get it corrected. Also, I despise a salon that requires that you purchase a blow dry. $70 extra so I can see what color you turned my hair? Am I supposed to walk out with it wet? The blow dry is not a full, bouncy blowout either. It's what you'd do yourself at your house. Added negative, I referred my mother to the salon and was told by her that I'd receive a referral gift. I didn't mention at checkout because I wanted to see if it was worth coming back to. Unfortunately, I think I'm done here.

Chong showed me the color samples, explained to me how the chemicals work and then she worked on her magic. She told me she mix 3 browns together to achieve the look I want. Omg, I love it!!! It's so subtle but I can see the color peaking out under the sunlight. By mixing 3 colors, she literally made mini highlights on my hair! I called to schedule my appointment, and I'm so glad I did! During my session there, I noticed she's extremely busy at the store.

It has pretty good staying power; I only noticed minimal rub off on my pillow. I'm on day two of the blow dry, and my hair still looks great! I paid $45 for the cut and blow dry, not including tip. I am VERY picky when it comes to my hair and Jessica is a hair god! I would trust her with my hair completley and have never come across anyone as good as her. Sadly due to certain situations she had to stop doing hair. I continued to still go to this place and try Francci, a new person they hired to take jessica's place. The first time I went to her the color completley faded after one wash, even though I made sure to wash in cold water. They told me to come and would fix it free of charge, which i was very happy about! They DID not tell me they were bleaching my hair again about 2-3 days later. After that my hair COMPLETLEY broke off in multiple spots. When I was leaving the salon they kept telling me how good my hair looked, even though it looked terrible. When I got home clumps and clumps were coming out. When I texted francci what had happened she told me it was normal and nothing to worry about. On top of all that they charged me somewhere around $500 from going to dark brown to silver. I understand and was ready to pay that much but when you burn someone's hair off you would think they would compensate you or even give you the service for free. Not to mention during the bleach process she put a plastic bag over my head (I am in cosmetology school and was told to NEVER do that). My head started to get hot and I told her that, and she said "that's a good thing." It got to a point where it was unbearable so I said again to Francci "it's getting really hot" and she then said "oh wow it is hot let's wash you off!" When they took the plastic bag off there was literally steam coming off my head. I was also promised a free haircut and money off my new few services and never got it, even though I continued to go back. Every single time I went back I had more and more problems. There would be times my hair would have blonde patches, as if it wasn't even dyed. There are pictures below to show everything I am talking about. I am just posting this because I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. It's been almost year now and am still dealing with the consequences of my hair being broke off and fragile. They were almost more than unprofessional as one time they had an intern help with HALF of my hair and did not charge me any less for that either. I use to trust this place with everything and now I would never go back ever. Not to mention, Peggie once spilled coffee on my Louis Vuitton purse and said "oops" I attached pictures of my burnt off pieces and tried to compare the burnt pieces to how long my hair actually is (ignore the purple, I did that myself which turned out better and less patchy than going to this salon.)
