Nathan did a great job with my daughter's flower girl hair (such a cute little braid and nice curls) and was super gentle with her. I was really impressed by Blush and Co! My wedding makeup, my bridesmaids, and mother and mother of the groom makeup all came out beautiful. I wanted a makeup artist who was familiar with working on asian faces. I am not a heavy makeup person so Cindy and Caroline did an excellent job of making me look beautiful but natural. Since I purchased my dress at Misora I had the option of a complimentary veil or trial makeup application. So I made an appointment with Jeannie. The trial run left me looking gorgeous so I immediately signed a contract with B & Co for the "big" day. Jeannie arrived on time at the venue and quickly set up her equipment. I got a bit antsy and sensing this, Jeannie asked if I was OK. Her concern quickly diffused my stress and I was able to remain calm for the rest of the application. Jeannie is a true artist. After purchasing my dress at Misora, I had a freebie make up trial at Blush. It was easy to contact Cindy to schedule an appointment. She was quick with emails and text. When I arrived at the studio, I met Michelle. She got to know me a little bit and she's super fun! I showed her pictures of some make up looks I wanted to try and she tailored it to fit my face. Blush does airbrush which they told me looked more natural. It was my first time getting airbrushed and I was surprised how light it felt. It lasted all day and that was what I needed. I love how Michelle would let me check my make up as she was going and she was more than happy to fix anything! She asked me x10 times if the lashes were okay which I really appreciated. The professional ladies and gorgeous work makes Blush and Company totally worth the money. It was down to the last month and a half before the wedding and I still didn't have a makeup artist. My mother was in a panic to find someone and fast. I was going back and forth between Austin and Houston (where the wedding would be held), and they were very flexible and even met me on the weekend to do my trial. We didn't expect to spend so much on the makeup, but the two bridesmaids, my mother, and I all looked lovely, and the pictures turned out great. Cindy and the others were such fun to be around, but always stayed professional too. They arrived on time and well-prepared. My makeup and hair stayed through the wedding and reception and afterparty for almost 12 hours until one eyelash came off, but who cares by then? My party included 4 people total including the mother of the bride and cost over $1000 with the 4 tattoo coverups (which were good). These women won't be perfect for everyone as they are not a "discount" option, but they did a great job for me. LOVE LOVE LOVED my Makeup trial with these girls!! I booked them for my wedding day. I had Michelle for makeup and Christina for hair. Both girls are lovely, and Michelle is a hoot! I was pretty scared since a lot of wedding makeup artists do the "natural" eye brow look, I wanted the Instagram on #fleek #snatch looking eye brows. I came in armed with pictures of eye brows and eye makeup and pictures of "dont's" as well. Michelle was very accommodating, and she's super pretty! Her eye brows looked great, so I knew I was in good hands!! Michelle let me know each step she took, she was just great and understanding. Loved her! Christina was excellent as well, I showed her pics of what I wanted and she transformed my hair!!! The entire process took 2.5 hours, but they take extra care of you. They provide you water, and talk to you throughout the entire way. Not only that but they check in with you, to make sure you're comfortable. They also ensure they create the look that you want. I've known many people that have had their makeup and hair done here for their wedding. I've had mine done as a bridesmaid before, as well. This time, I set up an appointment for hair & makeup for my bridal pics. I made an appointment with Cindy for makeup and Caroline for hair. I specifically requested them because they are amazeballs. First, I always tell people to make their makeup and hair appt with Blush & Co. right away once they figure out their date. You thinking I'm joking, huh? Nope! They book up fast! I would HIGHLY recommend both Cindy and Caroline, too, which makes booking with them even harder because their schedules are always jam packed. I felt bad for Cindy when I walked in because I came back from my bachelorette trip really dark and burnt. My forehead was about 4 shades darker than the rest of my face and peeling. She worked her magic and voila! My face looked evened out after. I was a new (still recognizable) woman! The problem for most Asians when getting their makeup done is that most artists don't know how to do our eyes. Cindy knows her shizz. I've always loved her work. I'm never nervous about how things will turn out with her, unlike other makeup artists elsewhere. Poor Caroline- I was telling her what I wanted, and it was alllll over the place. I trusted her and had faith she would create something I liked. I told her to just do what she thought would look good since I had no specific idea. I pretty much have nappy hair that always looks less than full. Once Caroline was done, it was gorg! My friends all thought I had extensions put in because my updo looked so full! I'm telling you..I have yet to see a less than perfect looking bride at the fingers of these girls. Can't recommend them enough. They were also accommodating to a last minute change and request for fake eyelashes for two bridesmaids. I had two other makeup trials at other salons one which was meh (who wants to pay for meh?) and one that was terrible sooo I had some experience dealing with hair and makeup people - blush and co is professional, experienced and extremely talented. These girls don't know anything about customer service! I called them on a Friday morning and was told I would get a call back later. I was called back at 7:30 AM in the morning on a Saturday!! Wanted to book them for my 3rd wedding reception (yes, i know...parents' wishes), and they wanted to charge me the bridal price ($200) instead of the normal $125 for hair and makeup at their studio. I told the woman on the phone (I believe it was Cindy) that I wasn't a bride (I'm already married and this was just for a separate reception where I would not be getting pictures taken and so the hair and makeup only had to hold up for 3 hours or so). She insisted that they had to charge me the bridal price because they would need to spend more time on me as a bride. I kept saying that I did not want the bridal treatment and that I just wanted hair and makeup as if I was just attending an event. She then asked if I was wearing a wedding gown (as if it matters what I'm wearing!), and I said no, I was wearing a short cocktail dress. I was told I would get a call back after she confirmed with her business partner whether it would be okay for me to get the normal price, and I never heard back from her!! Needless to say, I didn't even want to book them at this point. If this is how they run their business, then I wouldn't even want to think about booking them for a wedding. I had the best hair and makeup artist for my wedding day in California so I know how a real MUA professional should be. read more

Out of all the vendors we were in touch with to get ready for our wedding, Blush & Co. is my favorite. Michelle knows how to work different styles, and she pays attention to the kind of look you're going for. She is also extremely personable, and she'll instantly put you at ease during your pre-wedding jitters. She'll make you look amazing, eye fold or no eye fold (it matters, as I learned the hard way through makeup trials with other vendors)! I wanted to compromise between looking good in the photos and looking extremely overdone in person. Michelle knew exactly what to do to achieve that balance, and just went a little easier on the contouring. And Nathan does a wonderful job with hair! I had both my hair and makeup done 6/13 for my wedding. My mother got her makeup done as well. I arrived in the parking lot early and had to take an urgent and upsetting call regarding my plans for my wedding that day. blush and company started calling my cell (while I was stressed beyond belief) at exactly 11:03 telling me that if I showed up any later they were canceling my appointment. As i wrapped it up as quickly as possible, collected myself, wiped my tears, they called again at 1105 with further reprimands about my lateness. Don't get get wrong. I hate tardiness. It's disrespectful. But if they're booking their appts so close together that their threatening cancellation at me running less than five minutes behind, they need to examine their scheduling procedures. So the biggest and most devastating mistake I made was not going in for a trial run. My hair was phenomenal. But the make up was not in the slightest bit what I wanted. I left looking like a desperate housewife of New Jersey. Bronzer and blush caked on so heavily that I was literally laughing with my mom in the car. I had to drive all the way home to Sugar Land to do damage control before heading to my hotel downtown. So basically, I wouldn't say don't use them. The blonde and fairer skinned people (including my own mom) walked out looked AMAZING. It was just an incredibly disappointing experience for me. Lesson learned. They were harassing me telling me if I didn't show up in 10 minutes they would have to leave and go to their next appointment (I was hardly late and didn't even have time to get my stuff out of the car because they were being so rude about it). They were the only vendors that stressed me out on my wedding day. Disappointing. The hair and make up looked good, but I didn't need the stress least of all on my wedding day. Plus they made me schedule my hair and make up super early on my wedding day (2pm with a 8pm wedding) - make up did not look as fresh by the time the wedding started.
