I recently went to this nail salon for the first time. I had a good experience in the nail salon, typically the nail salon that I go to doesn't do my cuticles or do proper nail prep and aftercare, and the salon definitely took care of my nails and took their time. No issues there. Although I have been getting dip on my natural nails for almost 2 years now, this is the first time where within a week almost all of my nails have chipped where I've had to re-file my nails just to remove the chipping. Honestly, I'm really disappointed. I don't know if it's the brand that they're using for the dip powder or what not but as someone who always has dip on their nails, it's been really sad to see all of my nails chipping within about a week and a half. The people there are very nice and sweet but they cannot do nails. Spend your money here if you want your nails to be messed up but if you value your nails, don't get them done here. The French tip lines are wobbly and different sizes and the shape of every nail is different. I wouldn't recommend coming here for ANYTHING but getting your toes done. I haven't even left the parking lot and the nails are lifting already by my cuticle because they didn't cut my cuticle down. Never coming back. read more

It's a nice, aesthetic place, and has been the only place I trusted for my nails as it has been consistently good in the past. I came in on the 9th for a no chip mani/Pedi and my tech was nice, but something I noticed with more than one tech was they were stating very loudly that they were hungry and several of them, while doing nails were also eating food that they had under their station. Which makes me worry they are not getting proper breaks. It has been 10 days and while my no chip Pedi looks great, my no chip mani started peeling from the bottoms in less than a week. She barely did anything to my cuticles/painted some on my cuticles and it seemed at the time like she rushed through the mani. The lifting bottom of the polish is now getting caught on everything and I've had to order some soak off to deal with it. Very frustrating, as even though my pedis definitely lasts longer than the manis, I've never had a no chip mani from Blush last less than a week and I've never had it fail so badly before. Worst manicure ever. Did not file my nails properly. They are jagged. They did not use cuticle oil or even trim my cuticles. I had to ask for hand lotion and no hand massage. She was more concerned with trying to upsell than doing a good job. read more

Disappointing to say the least.. went yesterday and spent $60 on a full set French manicure and almost every nail is crooked, they are also slanted up and don't lay flat, they look out grown, the nails are very inconsistent, one has already chipped and you can see through it because she only did 1 coat. I will not be back. I unfortunately live in Janesville or I would have gone back to have them fixed. Also was left with nail color on my hands and a white powder stuck on my nail beds which i tried washing my hands and scrubbing them and nothing would get the white powder look off of them till i used antiseptic wipes.i asked for them to be cleaned up before getting them done because I haven't gotten my nails done in a couple months. It honestly looks worse than before I went in. My friend got a pedicure as well and her nail polish wiped off as soon as we walked out of the salon. read more

This was my first visit to Blush, after a raving review from my mother about her no-chip manicure. I decided to go in for a pedicure. The aesthetic of this salon a lovely, modern style. It is well decorated and layed-out. I got in right away on a Saturday (no appt). The staff was kind and understandable. I left the salon feeling great and relaxed. Yet, my problem was not in the service, but in the quality of the nail job. When I came home, I discovered at a closer look that my nails looked awful (see pictures)! The man who painted my nails did a lousy job on the second coat of polish, especially for a nail salon! This was the worst pedicure I have ever paid for ($25!). I will not be returning here again, which is saddening to me considering the great staff and decorum. read more

Horrible! Omg I sat down and I said hi to the lady who did my nails she did not once say anything to me besides asking what I wanted, while doing the nails she kept throwing her file at me! And on top of that she went to go help another person with her pedicure and took 20 minutes!!! She came back finished my nails they came out thick and bulky, I've had them for not even a week and they are lifting! Only good thing about the entire experience was the guy at the counter. Today I brought my sister in to get her nails done for her 13th birthday. We made an appointment for 3:30 PM & she wasn't seated with a nail technician until 4:20PM. Almost and hour wait WITH an appointment! Not to mention, when we first walked in, they didn't greet us... Not one technician out of the 15 ish working said hello. We had to go up to someone to get helped. The lady that did my sister's nails wasn't the friendliest. She was pushing a "no chip" polish onto us even though I told her more than 4 times that the regular polish would be just fine. She kept insisting and got an attitude when I continued to say no... She then noticed my nails weren't done and tried to force me into getting mine done as well. I told her I wasn't going to get them done TWICE and she tried for the third time to get me to get mine done as well by "insulting" me and said "your nails could look so nice, they don't look nice right now. You should get them done. It'll only be 30 mins" I politely declined AGAIN and she rolled her eyes and started talking to the technician next to her. All of my sister's nails were different lengths, were slanted, etc. I wouldn't recommend this salon... Take your money and business ELSEWHERE! I highly recommend Nova Nail Bar. They are THE BEST SALON IN ROCKFORD! The only reason I even gave this place two stars is because despite our issues today, the place was clean and I'll at least give them that. read more

I used to like coming here but it is run down and old. They still have plastic shields between you and them. They are gross looking. I don't think they've been cleaned since they went up. Old, tattered towels. I just don't feel like I'm in a nice nail salon anymore. I want to feel refreshed while there. They need an update to keep people coming in. Never had a bad experience with them, even during the pandemic with restrictions. I even had one tech who was helping me check my pedicure midway through drying and noticed a messed up nail, quickly fix it before continuing under the dryers. Love their pricing as well. read more

I went to blush nail lounge with my cousin. I got acrylic and gel. My nail tech filed my skin down when I said "ow" more than once. I paid $50! And I got a messy outcome and glue everywhere and paint still on my fingers. My cousin was not pleased with her nails. She asked for an oval shape and the gave her almond. Also they didn't inform her of the $5 up charge of the shape. It was supposed to be $25 and then when she checked out it was $30. This is the next day and my nails hurt very bad. I feel bad I recommenced someone to this place. Horrible customer service. One of those nail shops they take anyone even when they don't have the time. My mom spent 45 minutes there waiting for a pedicure when told when she arrived it would be 15 minutes. I am happy with my pedi and mani. I think they did a great job. Great color selection too. I got a gel mani and a regular pedi. They were able to match a regular color for my toes that would go with the gel color on my nails. I called the night before to make a reservation. When we walked in there, they were kind of short with us at first like we were bothering them and like my reservation didn't matter. It really wasn't a good impression at all, however when they got us in a chair, we started talking to nail technician and everything seemed to be kosher. My technician was also swapped out before my toes were done too, and I don't know why. My friend got the same thing as I did and I was charged 60 and she was charged 50. My sister and I went for last minute pedicures because our normal salon, JoVi, was busy. We should have just waited to go to JoVi later in the week. Though the nail tech that did my sisters pedicure did a great job, I can't say the same about the lady who did mine. It took a while before someone came out to start my pedicure and when someone finally did, they got pulled away before they could even start. Then I waited 5 more minutes to have a nail tech come out. When my pedi was started, I didn't have my feet in the water anymore because the water was ice cold from waiting so long. The pedicure was fine but my nail shapes weren't even and very sloppy. I don't know if it's because her English wasn't the best, but I feel like if you're a "professional" nail tech in a mostly English speaking country, you should know what a matte top coat is. She had to pull another nail tech to ask what I was saying. The entire salon also felt very dirty on top of a not so great experience. read more

Today I went to Blush Nail Lounge for the first time! When I walked in I immediately noticed how nice and clean it looked. It's very modern and bright and fun; the workers are really nice and friendly too. Other than the looks of the salon, my nails look great! Although the lady I had was really rough and not very gentle. I had just had volleyball tryouts and wanted to relax but it was honestly kind of hard to just sit back and relax. Also half of my nail ripped off the day before and I wanted to get one acrylic nail (so it would be the same length as the other nails) and just for one nail they charged me $2 extra. When I first started going to Blush it was awesome. Very nice owners, clean facilities and great service. Midway through my stays I noticed changes. The cleanliness went down hill and I noticed a lot of tension between the employees and the owners. I do not think I would recommend this salon any longer because if the salon is dirty then there is a real concern for infections etc. The cobwebs behind the chairs up front are going to take over the chairs and there is so much wax on the hot wax container it is a fire hazard. I felt bad for the staff because it was my understanding that if you are not with a client you don't get paid. I asked one of the girls what was up and they said they had new owners. Blush is family owned and they are always open to resolving any issues you may have. I would recommend scheduling an appointment or calling ahead. this was the 3rd time I came to this salon. I Left and didn't wash my hands so i thought the cutical Would be cleaned out when I got home. shame on me, not only was it an awful white color, but it was thick, fat, and cracked. I was going on vacation and thought white would be fun. I Couldn't have been more wrong. I called the salon and he said well you should have Come back, umm if I weren't on vacation i would have. Not only were my toes jacked by my nails on my hands as well. Their so called fixing Was just to take the white off and put a new color on. Experience was awful. The owner made a scene in front of all customers and told me he was doing me a favor by changing the color from dingy white to a pink. He said the only reason it turned out so bad is because I didn't spend $5 more on gel nails. Explain the hands!!Why did I pay for dipped nails? what's the excuse of them braking and thick and barely white "OFF WHITE" almost yellow. Dont make the mistake. Bad experience to the point I will not return. First, the hours for Saturday is 9:30. I walked in at 9:25 and there were 8 people already well into their appt. Call ahead. I told Henry I needed a dip polish and pedicure and had a very tight timeline. Started with the pedicure and it was wonderful. The girl was fast and did a great job. I waited 25 min before someone was available for the dip polish. To summarize the process, a guy and girl talked in their language as he was maybe learning on my nails! After preparing the nails, he got three nails started and the girl grabbed my hand and filed everything off. Then he started again to finally give up. The girl completely did 2 clients with dip nails, they left, and I was still there. She finally took over only to repeatedly try to fix many nails. I went to pay and showed Henry my nails that were no where near shiny. He said I needed to go back and have fixed. I again responded with my disgust about the time, people processing though must faster, and it would give him an opportunity to review my charges. The girl attempted to fix TWO more times before I finally gave up. Henry felt sorry for the situation and charged me full price, gave me a frequent flyer card, and a gift certificate for my next visit. Thought this was sufficient only to open the gift certificate for FIVE DOLLARS. Absolute insult. I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone. It has been 9 days and my cuticles still have scabs on 7 fingers!!!! Think twice. read more
