When my father passed away, I inherited a collection of hats that had been displayed in his man cave for years and never once cleaned or dusted. The kind folks at this establishment cleaned and reshaped five hats, eliminating the smell of old people, dust and f@rts. Thanks to their handiwork, I can now list them on eBay and have a guy from The Villages (ahem) offer $100 when the hat was listed at $90 plus $12 shipping. Brandon from BM Franklin completed the restoration of my old Navy cap. It survived North Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Middle East tours from 1979 to 80 aboard the USS Iwo Jima. Unfortunately, time almost did it in. Lost some of the gold embroidery over time, we'll just call that patina. But it's back in service now!! I'm going to send him my USS Vulcan hat from '77 next. read more

Sent them an Art Fawcett hat for cleaning. It is an Al Capone copy , made of beaver. One of ten I understand. It was getting pretty soiled. It came back looking like new! The price was reasonable and it was done exactly when it was promised. We were snowed in here in Indiana, and UPS had to make three tries to get it back to me, but the packing was good and I couldn't be happier with the result. read more

Super dope spot! This modern, eye catching hat shop is a creative store with beautiful custom products. How many black owned businesses do you know that make custom hats!? My mom and I stopped in during a Mother's Day afternoon of shopping at Buckhead village. These hats are gorgeous and there are so many designs to choose from! The owner was super kind and so passionate. We experienced watching a customer pick up a hat she ordered the day before, who was extremely satisfied with his service! What a joke. $550 for a hat that was supposed to take two weeks to complete due to the craftsmanship. 3 months later I arrive to get the hat and the person up front is literally stitching the ends of the hat edging that had come undone (or were never done in 3 months). Immediately the experience dropped to a 2. I wait around until he finishes stitching the hat that supposedly was finished weeks ago. While doing so, I look at one of the extra bands I had purchased. The craftsmanship was equal as that of a primary age child. No stitching in the inside. The hook looked and felt like a fishing hook. Not delicate whatsoever. While he is finishing the construction of the epic hat by adding the jewelry that was already supposed to be there, I notice that the hat is missing the main band. Experience is now at a 1. I point this out and he checks my order file, walks over to the box with materials and pulls a roll of such material. As if he is gearing up to do the work that supposedly takes 3 weeks in 10 minutes at the register. I turned around and left without the hat explaining that I would prefer quality. I'll come back in a month to give them time to review their work. Highly disappointed at the care that they took in the craftsmanship. Would not recommend. read more
